Most of these Su-30 MKI jets were made in India with a large proportion of Indian parts, down to even engine components. India is carrying out the mid-life upgrade of this jet, which involves modifications to airframe itself, new AESA radar, new Data Link, new IRST, new EW suite including Digital RWRs and Dual Colour MAWS, etc and a whole new weapons suite. And all the above that I mentioned, is being done WITHOUT Russian help and with only Indian designed and built components (except for the Data Link which though manufactured in India, is of Israeli Design).
