This has been nothing short of embarrassing this whole MRH/Blackhawk saga. The ADF is clueless.
@@Mrbuckaroonie.. 100%
We had BlackHawks to begin with. No idea why we changed.
@@iDrive123 apparently to rationalise the helicopter fleets over time, reduce the number of platform types operated [by the Australian Navy and the Australian Army] the helicopter was acquired to replace the RAN’s Sea King helicopters and the Army’s Black Hawk helicopters and was expected to remain in service until 2037. However, persistent technical difficulties, rising costs and delays resulted in the MRH-90 helicopter project being placed on the ‘Projects of Concern’ list in November 2011. As at 30 June 2021 it was the only major project still on the list
The ARH and MRH programs were a disaster.
@@Buddy89538 Goverment doing government crap as usual then.
Spend over a hundred dollars you get free shipping 😂
The 6th Aviation Regiment is a sub-unit of the 16th Aviation Brigade.
Was before!
Are these new choppers ?
Yes, Newly built and delivered
Still have the "new car smell."
@@aviationphotographydigest thank you
Please stop with the dramatic music
It’s not a action movie
@@aviationphotographydigestwhat is the difference between these and the old black hawks of the 90s?
Where's the adf camo?
We have no helos and Ur worried about camo?
Yes ! They gotta look cool
these birds are fresh off the U.S production line and were diverted from U.S stocks... they will most likely painted them up at some point soon.
@@the_real_bin_chickenJust persist with the factory colour scheme for the US Army vibes. 🇺🇸
@@user-kc1tf7zm3b nahh, it's not suitable for our environment, they will stick out like a sore thumb (when viewed against aussie terrain).... plus our camo is distinctive... most of our potential adversaries fear Australian troops more than american troops. recruits are trained to a higher degree than american forces because of the fact that we are a small defence force and require more flexibility from our troops than the US.
Btw not saying that one is better than the other.... just that both have different ways of operating, doctrine, training. etc.
Blackhawk again "gak bisa kelain hati"
USAF delivers aircraft to other countries? Who pays for that?
Purchase price includes delivery so we (Australia) pays for it. As the US's most dependable ally since WW2 what's the issue?
@@FishandHunt Also a win-win situation. U.S. Airforce can do their mandatory flying hours and also get an important job done instead of just training for training's sake

💯%👍🏻
@@FishandHunt Too much purchasing from US to support their millitary/Industrial business, the real profit maker in the US and of course to enrich the Congress. Many alternative sources including China ! WE sell minerals and gas to them so why not buy weapons??
