Persevering even when the conditions are against you
This rock blackfish video is not about catching lots of fish but persevering even though you may have wind, weather and some swell against you. Conditions were harder to fish than what you see. Also showing fishing the best sunny days is often not going to give you a positive results. More often fishing the cloudy days, lower light periods a couple ,of hours before dark up to sunset and just on sunrise to a few hours after are generally the best times. As always try and take on somem of my safety tips. Freak waves are for anglers that were not looking at the waves correctly. In other words not calculating that there was a wave of size approaching the ledge your fishing. I can go into it more comprehensivelly but it will take thousands of words and even several vids to explain it correctly.
Maybe one day in the future I will have some safety vids.
Thanks for watching.

Beach Fishing Strategies that work Day and Night | You SHOULD Try !
Переглядів 11 тис.4 місяці тому
When beach fishing the majority of anglers do not burley up or when they burley up the do it inconsistently. Also some anglers that fish the ocean beach aftern dark may shine their powerful head torches into the hole/gutter that their fishing. This is a couple of do's and dont's that I am showing in this video. Apart from that always out searching, investigating and finding out whats happening....
Kingfish Super Hard To land
Переглядів 8 тис.5 місяців тому
Kingfish are without doubt close to my very favourite species. The vast majority of times you encounter kingfish there close to some nasty structure that can easiely sever your leader or braid. This time I was fishing a sizable swell of about 1.5m, shower, rain conditions and by myself which made it that much harder. Apart from that I knew it was going to be dam hard to land this fish. Fortunatl...
Snapper On Soft Plastic off The Rocks | This Lure Really Works!! !#snapper #fishing #lurefishing

Soft plastics for snapper is not new for the boat angler. Fishing off Sydney NSW rocks its pretty uncommon for anglers to target them on lures. Vast majority of snapper anglers using bait. The soft plastics I have been using have worked really well catching snapper from just over the legal 30cm to quality 50cm fish. Adding another method to fishing for this great species off the ocean rocks. I ...
Rock Blackfish | Do The Best You Can On The Day

It only takes one good fish to make your day. For me I never get bored with catching the powerful, pugnacious rock blackfish AKA black drummer or pig as they are also known as. You sometimes need to get right into the dangerous rock fishing spots where they live. On this outing it was not about quantity was about the adventure of fishing on this outing right on the door step of the beautiful Sy...
Beach Whiting and Bream Strategies That Work
Переглядів 34 тис.9 місяців тому
Often when you go for a beach fishing trip in Sydney you need to check out how crowded it may be, swimmers, surfers and of course fish the right gutters so you are in for a reasonably good chance to get a result. But what a lot of anglers overlook is the beach that your fishing could have a lot or a fair bit of weed of variable types like kelp, ribbon or the several varieties of reef weeds. Tak...
Saving A Yellow - Bellied Sea Snake in Sydney
Переглядів 3,2 тис.Рік тому
Sea snakes are very rare in Sydney Australia. This one hitched a ride on the great east coast current from the northern part of Australia. They can be very deadly if they manage bite soft tissue. This Yellow Bellied Sea Snake was stranded on one of the local beaches in the northern suburbs of Sydney NSW Australia. it was not looking real good. I could not release it back into the ocean where it...

Fishing the mid north coast beaches. Most of them are vast, gong for many kms. You need to move around to find the fish. In this video I moved a few times and found bream in one gutter where another would have none. A few small tips to help you find fish in what appears to be a watery desert of sand. Alex Bellissimo not only teaches how to catch great fish, but more importantly he teaches respect and ethical treatment of the sea life... great job alex and well done to the young bloke as well.
Hi Alex... What I do in sheltered harbour beeches ( no surf, only small waves) is go there on low tide and dig a trench about 6 inches deep and put pichards mixed with bread in them and cover with sand..... do this on the low tide ebb and fish the rising tide.... usually brings in flathead and bream... I do this because I'm pretty old now and this brings the fish to me instead of me having to walk up and down the beach chasing them which I use to do but nowadays I find it harder to do... anyway, tight lines and hope to see you around the traps.
Hi Alex... this is woke Australia now so we don't call them rock black fish anymore... they are now rock fish of colour...
Tomorrow's beach fishermen, testament of a knowledgeable and patient teacher!
Why do you let your fish smother Kate in a bag
Couple off happy fellas there big Al. Good stuff 👍
Hey mate very happy young lads Family trips are one of my favourite tours ❤
@ yes you can tell. And creating lifelong memories of happy family time in the process. Priceless stuff. 👍
Hello Mr Alex happy new year and health. I hope to see the full video if possible.
Hey Gino Unfortunately no full video. Finding it really hard to do vids with a young son but will try my best. spero che nel prossimo futuro ci siano altri video😊🙌
I understand, happy New Year and good health. 🤍🤞
That confused look on his face when he heard Alex say he was going to release that fish lol
You're a great teacher, Alex. They will make excellent anglers!
Hey thanks Samantha awesome kids so enthusiastic😊👏
I personally wouldn't wear all that gear eg. shoulder bag, belt bait containers, etc. You should anticipate the possibility of going in, and dress accordingly. Last thing I'd want going is a potential water anchor around my neck.
What beach is this ? Looks really nice
They are trying to stop us again sign it guys please www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/lc/Pages/epetition-details.aspx?q=MMAqfeL-Ih-3c3QW5JyrcQ&fbclid=IwY2xjawHr4ypleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHfNHDfGbiXm4lFtCpM9VPvdHW-CDuxgysESq1uj1hvKOVkXgx_CcaNRKoA_aem_f104cfEoIzgfWswE9h8goQ
Alex what brand rock shoes do you wear. TIA
Wow it would’ve put up a tough fight
Wow Cracka fish 🎣
I dont mind releasing em.... but... how fast can you run across rocks lol
@@doingitfresh7544 I cannot run that fast along rocks 😓
Im abit of barbarian and would have taken that one back if I could.... lol
Great job on this video! I'm not sure why some people in the comments are being negative-it feels unnecessary. It's important to note that there has only been one recorded fatality from sea snakes in Australia recorded in the past 80 years. These snakes are extremely rare and almost never bite people unless provoked, like being stepped on or handled. Some of the negativity might simply stem from immaturity.
great stuff.. life saver 🎉
I Reckon its Silly to be wearing a bag in those conditions I Donts see the point anyway? what is the point?
Great Fishing Alex 🥰👏👏 Vic /San Souci
Well done mate🎉
Was lovely seeing you Alex today You made my day Victor Ghaly
Hi Alex, greetings from Kingscliff on the NSW far north coast. I have a question for you. You appear to alternate between using an Alvey sidecast reel and a spinning reel. Could you please do a video addressing the question of Avey VS spinning reel???
Hello mate I love your vids. Btw I use your back pack all the time!
We call those black fish ,black snapper or parore in New Zealand but very few people eat them as they are considered second rate fish,I don’t know why as they have a beautiful flavour and firm texture and go well in the smokehouse
Thanks Al .. nice feed of pigs 💯
Thank you again for a fantastic video Alex, I love the enthusiasm you still have for this wonderful sport that is fishing. I look forward to the next.
It's a serious washing machine you got there, Alex! Be careful!
Always great videos. Hope all is well Alex.
Hello Mr. Alex, a great pleasure to meet you in this new adventure. Biz, kind regards UA-cam
Very nice fishing session , good drummer , using prawns and bread but didn’t use any weed any reason for that decision , also is there a difference in the eating of drummer as to ludric on the plate , I have never landed a drummer , been broken off by them though have caught ludrics plenty , just wondering the difference of taste difference of the drummer and ludric if any .
😉👍 On the job Alex 🐟🐠🦈 Just purchased the Dragger X 100 MH 10ft 305cm PE 2- 3 rod plus the Diawa BG MQ 4000 D reel cannot wait to get out there .
I have the same reel and baby does it perform for drummer!
Hi Alex good job you should try winnie Bay bro for one ov your streams it fishes good for pigs 👍🤘💪
Great to see the master back at it.
Thank you Alex. Great vid. Hey what is side carry bag you wear? I need one.
Just spied "Alvey". Nice.
My old man (85) just gave me his Alvey sidecaster ❤
Good work mate, more bread less kelpies agreed
Another masterclass by one of the best in the business. 👏🏻🐟😃
Welcome back Alex, my wife and I love your videos instructive and entertaining. Keep them coming mate.
Nice catch & good eating size.
More pigs than a farmer mate 😂
Awesome, Alex! They are my favourite fish.
Legend
Wonderful Video! Thanks for posting Mr B
I love the care and refinement that CYRIL CHAUQUET has with putting fish back in the water. There’s a lot to be learnt from Cyril. He would never have dragged a blue roper over the rocks or taken ages to put it back in the water like that!
Thank you for this great video.I am going to do the SLSNSW rock Fishing safety day next year, which will provide me withe the Hobie PFD. What wet weather jacket do you recommend. Ideally I want one that comes down past my arse. Nige from Sydney.
Hey Alex, just wondering where you bought those snap swivels for 4oz and 5oz snapper leads. The eye on the snapper leads are usually 6-8mm thick. I looked on aliexpress and various vendors in Australia but I can't find one that comfortably opens wide enough to accommodate such thickness on the eye of these sinkers. Can you please provide brand and size? Thanks for your help mate
What size hook??
Love your stuff Alex please keep releasing these great videos.
Great watching your enthusiastic fishing videos thank you Alex really appreciate your advice
