Also know as mother in law fish (Sgt Baker). Nice job on the black kingy, very rare that far south. I caught one many years ago off Forster B/W, ended up landing it on Forster beach. Good on ya for releasing it - they are very good on the chew 😋
My brother and I used to get out there an hour before sunrise and wait for the false dawn. Best time of the day. We used unweighted pillies which never failed to catch.
Hey thanks for mentoning really appreciate it. It was tough terrain to land it . i dont know about the eating quality of this fish? Please share my youtube channel it would really help me out a lot 😁
@@AlexBellissimo - Cobia are MAGNIFICENT to eat mate. Personally, they are one of my all-time favourite fish, right up there with Golden threadfin salmon, jewies & Mangrove jacks. Always happy to spread the word and share it for you Alex - your channel is awesome. You have zero BS, and I always learn something. You are a natural in front of the camera too - it's always a pleasure to watch your videos.
its such a thrill to land a completely different species of fish especially the rare ones. my rarest catch for me personally would have been a 1m long hammerhead shark from the beach on a livebait.
Hi Alex.only recently found your channel.great videos.i love the snapper videos.nothing feels better than getting your rod smashed by a decent red.i remember you used to be on High Tide on 2KY years ago if I remember right.keep the great content coming.cheers.✌️🐟
I swear that one day you will catch a Baramundi off those rocks 😂 ,the cobe must have got caught in a pocket of warm water that drifted south or something .
I don’t believe that fish would of survived long term considering the amount of abrasions on its flanks which would of removed its protective slime coating.
Not to many would let that go so 10 out of 10 Alex champion.
*too
ahh well it was a hard decision hahah nearly wanted to keep it hahah

If not can you recommend anything here in the comments?

Caught a queen fish off sydney rocks but a barra? now that would be incredible!
Lucky you didn't lose a finger to that dragon snapper mate... better get the kevlar gloves for next time
There crazy dangerous dragon snapper 😅😂
Nobody is talking about the slight increase in the numbers of cobia caught off the rocks in sydney this year. Plenty caught in lake macquarie too.
Bloody oath Alex!
Hahah was so awesome !
Farout go big al black King off the stone farking legend
hey mate cheers just super lucky mate 😄
I don’t believe that fish would of survived long term considering the amount of abrasions on its flanks which would of removed its protective slime coating.
maybe it would or wouldnt have but still giving it a chance is better than not cheers
😃🏆
thanks heaps mate was super stoked ! cheers
beautiful, buy yourself a lotery ticket
hahaha yes i did no wins 😑
No sure why they are a rare catch. I used to get them off Balmoral at HMAS Penguin's wharf.
There rare off Sydney ocean rocks. That is the reason why for the anglers that fish the ocean rocks in Sydney understood that
Nice catch. Theee MOST overrated fish to eat.
Thaks mate much appreciated I cannot say I would know how good they are or not cheers
