    Cobias are great eating but that was a great catch off the rocks and worthy of being released! Another wonderful video! Can't wait for the next!!

    Also know as mother in law fish (Sgt Baker). Nice job on the black kingy, very rare that far south. I caught one many years ago off Forster B/W, ended up landing it on Forster beach. Good on ya for releasing it - they are very good on the chew 😋

    My brother and I used to get out there an hour before sunrise and wait for the false dawn. Best time of the day. We used unweighted pillies which never failed to catch.

      @@AlexBellissimo - Cobia are MAGNIFICENT to eat mate. Personally, they are one of my all-time favourite fish, right up there with Golden threadfin salmon, jewies & Mangrove jacks. Always happy to spread the word and share it for you Alex - your channel is awesome. You have zero BS, and I always learn something. You are a natural in front of the camera too - it's always a pleasure to watch your videos.

    its such a thrill to land a completely different species of fish especially the rare ones. my rarest catch for me personally would have been a 1m long hammerhead shark from the beach on a livebait.

    I swear that one day you will catch a Baramundi off those rocks 😂 ,the cobe must have got caught in a pocket of warm water that drifted south or something .

    Nobody is talking about the slight increase in the numbers of cobia caught off the rocks in sydney this year. Plenty caught in lake macquarie too.

    I don’t believe that fish would of survived long term considering the amount of abrasions on its flanks which would of removed its protective slime coating.

      There rare off Sydney ocean rocks. That is the reason why for the anglers that fish the ocean rocks in Sydney understood that
