- Kingfish are without doubt close to my very favourite species. The vast majority of times you encounter kingfish there close to some nasty structure that can easiely sever your leader or braid.
This time I was fishing a sizable swell of about 1.5m, shower,rain conditions and by myself which made it that much harder. Apart from that I knew it was going to be dam hard to land this fish. Fortunatly I used the opportunity and nailed it. Also being out of king season I was wrapped to have hooked a good fish. So not a massive fish about 10kg or maybe more but a sizable fish. #fishing #kingfish #fish

I've watched a lot of Alex Bellissimo videos over the years but that is the most intense AB video I've ever seen. There are very few fishermen on the Eastern seaboard of Australia who could land that fish alone. Unbelievable display of experience and skill.

its not that often I have to gaff my own fish but if your put in the deep end you have no choice. Just fortunate i pulled it off

yeah kings off the ocean rocks are really earnt fish. And in very difficult locations and terrain even more so.

Yes another video ❤.. hahaha the frustration bought back a lot of memories 😂 grate king but and a good gaff shot in the end.. you still have a cliff gaff 🤔. … just bought my first bait caster set up , learning skipping soft plastics.. got a lot to learn 😂..great to see your head keep em coming 💯
thanks mate really appreciate you watching a lot of anglers understand the agony of loosing a great fish happens to all of us just fortunate to pull it off haha had a Bantam 2000 bait caster about 35-40 years ago that was the last bait caster iI owned. I used one in NT back in 2015 with Mark Berg for about a week and thats it cheers mate

Question if spinning garfish work. Would spinning squid work?
@@felixfelicis5574 yes it does work spinning squid. Just securing a squid which will withstand multiple cast is an issue. Sea gars are robust and can handle 15-20 or more cast.
