A great session mate. In my earlier years as a young teenager. The snapper fishing was sometimes amazing. Much larger snapper between 4kg to as large as 8.5kg at times. Those days are gone in Sydney
Hey there A running ball sinker straight to the hook. 00 to 3 ball size sinkers. Hooks Mustard 92554 or 92247. 2/0 to 3/0 pilchard, squid strips and large prawn baits.
Hey Alex, great video again, mate, you have to love the alvery reels hey, it’s between you and the fish. I have fished with them all my life and they are the best. With the basic models, your hand is the drag, and you have to think quick to beat a good fish, love it mate, keep them coming.
Thanks mate Love using the Alvey side cast reels. It enables you to sense fish and it works very well for night fishing. That’s right you can react very quickly, apply as much pressure regarding drag pressure
Hey mate! Wondering what best burley is for off the rocks? I’ve been using a load of bread some cat food and water. Just wondering if there is anything better?
Great vid as always. Can you describe the gear and rigs as you go or maybe a after session run through? You changed a bit through this one from single hook to gangs, to a float at I point I think then back to single hook. I don't mean all your hard earned secrets just the basics. How did you know you had a bite on the float at night. Was it by feel or could you see the float?
Another top notch vid Alex👍🏻 I’m usually good for about 3 “last casts”. That first red (50cm) was putting some serious curve in your rod, what are the specs of it?
Fantastic vid
Thanks mate
Appreciate you mentioning 😊
Bellisimo Molto bellisimo
How do you keep an eye out for the waves? Ty for your vids learning alot
It would take a vid to describe how to look out for waves may do it in the future thanks
I cooked a filleted Wirrah and the pieces shunk until they were tiny. Chuck 'em back.

Yes the Alveys are awesome Especially the direct wind models.
Yes I fish by feel during the day and at night it enables me to focus on safety
Another top notch vid Alex👍🏻 I’m usually good for about 3 “last casts”. That first red (50cm) was putting some serious curve in your rod, what are the specs of it?
Hey thanks mate
Yes that last cast, we don’t want to leave hahah. The rod was a MT 7144 two piece 12 foot wilson rod. Hard to find now days.
@@AlexBellissimo Gotta love the last cast mate. Coincidentally, I’ve got a Wilson MT 7144 one-piece (low mount) 👍🏻
