Driving The Mercedes EQS SUV For The First Time, No Instructions
The opportunity to drive the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV popped up, so I jumped in and tried to figure out how to drive it an hour or so away.
This is basically a test of how intuitive the vehicle is to operate on a basic level (but with navigation).

Tesla FSD V12.3.6 Shows Improvement On The DEWD Loop - But Still Not Full Self-Driving

Here's my first drive with Tesla FSD (supervised) V12.3.6 on my standard Drive Electric With Domenick (DEWD) test loop. Definite improvements over V12.3.4, though I still had one "fail". This running of the loop was in light evening traffic with no unexpected situations arising.

Tesla FSD V12.3.4 Fails To Impress, Gets Dubious And Dangerous On The DEWD Loop
Переглядів 4,3 тис.5 місяців тому
My used Tesla Model 3 just updated to FSD 12.3.4 after having V12.3.3 for (maybe) a week. So, of course I drove it through my standard Drive-Electric-With-Domenick (DEWD) test loop here in Tallahassee, Florida. After being impressed by the previous version, this one seemed marginally better in a couple of ways, but worse in others. It pulled a couple dubious moves, and a dangerous one - when it...
Tesla FSD V12.3.3 Tested On DEWD Loop. Is It Finally A Usable Feature?

My 2018 Tesla Model 3 RWD Long Range that I've owned for a little over a year had its FSD (Supervised) feature updated from 12.3 to 12.3.3, so that means another swing through my standard test loop (DEWD Loop) through Tallahassee, Florida. It feels like the promise of actual full-self driving may be within reach with this update. Of course, that eventuality depends on external factors, like reg...

Tesla V12.3 FSD Beta Hits The DEWD Loop For First Time!

Rivian R2 Has Lots Of Secrets. Did I find them all?

Rivian R2 looks a lot like the R1S, but there are a number of differences. In this video, I go around the vehicle checking what's different and what's the same. Shot at Electrify Orlando, there was a lot of interest in this vehicle. When it goes on sales in 2026, it should start around $45,000 and be eligible for the $7,500 tax credit. Dom, we all know hindsight is 20-20. You didn't say if you bought the used model 3 from Tesla. Used Teslas CAN BE a good value, provided you do your homework. Tesla gives an extra year warranty once the original factory warranty expires. I would never buy any used car from a location where there is snow and road salt. Winters are just too hard on an EV, especially the battery. Good luck my friend. Hope things work out for you.

Useful video, Domenick. Two additional things. If the PCS totally fails, your car is completely comatose. Dark, dead, locked out. (Just happened to my less than 1 year old Model S. Without any warnings) car will not connect to app. Second, while the PCS box is indeed under the rear seat, the RandR procedure involves lifting the car, lowering the large battery, draining coolant. From under the rear seat, a number of of items have to be disconnected or removed. It is a big job.

After watching this video I'm fully convinced to buy m3p. There is nothing to spend on this car. I spend over 4k on my mk6 golf r a year , running stage 2 ecu and tcu tune , changed tranfer case, water pump, oil leak etc cos I'm sensitive to my car I want everything perfect. Since I realized how much power this m3p is making . I have been watching tones of videos to see if it has major maintenance issues. Thanks for this video

Assume it's Kyle's. It comes with the Japanese Ginsu knives to slice and dice your fingers. The bed as TFLEV have shown is tapered and so things like 4x8 sheets of stuff could be tricky unlike say a F150 Lightning or Silverado EV. Not my cup of tea. Those tires won't be efficient in any way definitely not really for driving on standard roads good for offroad. The EQS will be far better in road handling and you won't slice your fingers.

The advice I would give with anything electronic is that you should never run anything at 100% if you want it to last long. Flashlights, fans, TVs, phones etc... brightness levels, color levels, charge rates, speeds etc... when anything is run near maximum components will have a shorter thermal life for consumer products. Everything is built with a tight tolerance and to make it profitable. An EV is all electronics so I would be applying that thought process to everything I could. When the PCS is repaired I would limit charging amps to half to give it the best chance at not needed to be replaced ever again if supercharging a lot. It's probably healthier for the battery degradation to.

It is unfortunate used EV cars are not like ICE vehicles, when it comes to repairs or breakdowns. PCS modules on RWD use a non silicon carbide rectification, and prone to failure. Its possible it was charged at high currents with L2/L3 chargers frequently. Chips on bumpers are easy to fix, since it is plastic.Chip on rear glass can be fixed with uv resin, to almost invisible state. The nail on tire is an easy fix, since it is not on sidewall. Might need to check on battery health and maintenance done so far. Brake flush, brake service, coolant check topup, atf change, evaporator and radiator cleaning, cabin filter change etc.
