My first review of the new Head Gravity 2025 MP and Tour with the Auxetic 2.0 technology. No video playtest, just talking about these rackets after many hours of testing. My final ultimate review will come later with detailed approach, videos of me hitting with both rackets and a storytelling like approach. Enjoy the manooovrlbity!

    On tenniswarehouse they tell the swingweight should be at 328 so 320 it's pretty low for that kind of racquet you need swingweight for stabilise the racquet. The previous generation of the wilson blade was around 317 for the swingweight and some people was complain about the stability now it's around 324 and it's much better. But i didn't test the new gravity the auxetic could do a really good job and a lots of reviews is good. The racket looks beautiful.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy День тому

      For my taste the numbers I got are great for these rackets. 328 for the Tour would be too high for most people in my opinion. Interesting that TW has for both rackets exactly 8 points higher SW compared to my numbers. But my QC test is here to show you, that you can also get a racket with different specs that are shown online. It's just based on luck. But the history showed me that almost every single racket on TW has higher SW compared to the rackets I received. Maybe for Europe they always choose rackets with lower SW and for the US they ship rackets with higher SW, I don't know but it's suspicious.

    Thank you for such a detailed review! It's very helpful for me! I’m planning to switch to the Gravity 98 racket from the TF40 305 98 2022. I hope the Gravity will provide a bit more maneuverability, speed, and fewer errors while maintaining power from the baseline and on serves. Can you confirm this?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy День тому

      Yes, I can confirm that. It's a lot easier to play with Gravity 98 compared to TF40 305 2022. It's more forgiving and it has more free power, too.

  • @tennisfit402
    @tennisfit402 2 дні тому

    Thanks very much for your review. I will split my following post into 2 categories for more clarity: WINTER TENNIS Very relevant for me at the moment as I'm about to buy a case for my winter tennis (indoor medium fast hard courts - green set). I'm a 47 year old male tennis player (EU equivalent of 5.5+ in the US) training regularly with promising juniors. This past weekend played the best tennis of my life on indoor courts and was using Technifibre Court. I hadn't heard of this ball at all but after 4 hours of play it's still going strong. It has excellent playability, feel and most importantly makes the court feel like medium pace so rallies can take place (I personally hate fast surfaces or conditions where the point ends in less than 5 shots). In a nutshell: this was a rare find and a very pleasant surprise particularly as I have had tennis elbow in the past and it can sometimes flare up when using harder balls. This was a dream ( note: there is a 15 minute break in period where the balls seem to have a low bounce but after that they really play like a dream). I'm also going to be testing out the Technifibre Club and compare the two. For hard courts used to use Dunlop AO but their longevity of late has gone down the drain and they play too fast. I saw your review on the Club and X1 and was just a bit scared of trying them out because you mentioned that in both cases they have a break in period of approx 45 minutes and my winter sessions are on average 75 mins per session. This being the case should I nonetheless try out the Technifibre Club before deciding what to buy? I've also heard from others on the Diadem Court Premier. Any thoughts on that ball? SPRING / SUMMER TENNIS In Spring /Summer (April - October) I mainly play on Clay and have kind of resorted (after a lot of trial and error) to Dunlop AO (I tried the X1's last year and they were like bricks for 30 minutes - it killed my arm. lol!). However I have also recently been hearing about the Diadem Premier Clay Court ball. Any thoughts on that ball for clay court tennis? PS. Also one other thing to note with the Technifibre Court. Contrary to all other balls I've tried, after 4 hours of play the bounce was actually higher than when opened out of the can and best of all they don't fluff up while also not feeling too fast on the court. It almost defies logic.

    Hi, Did you find any differences in the sweetspot sizes ? Was having a look on TW lab, and very surprised to notice a very small sweetspot for the future compared to the 01. Same for the pro, which is listed to have an even bigger sweetspot than an Ezone 98 … I wonder how is that possible since almost every RF’s characteristics are the same. Thks

    Thank you. I like this format and I have been waiting for the new Gravity MP 👍 Could it be, that the strings are more than 16g? I think if you measure by a 1/10th gram, you should also measure the strings that way. 🙏🏼

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy 2 дні тому

      I always count strings for a 100 in2 headsize 17g, but almost always I see on TW specs that they measure the strings 15-16g. So assume that 16g is the average weight of strings for both 100in2 and 98in2 headsizes. Of course it can vary between 15-17g depending on the string pattern. But that's a minor number in my opinion. Of course unstrung specs are always the best but then you don't know the strung SW, which is more important for most players. It would be great if racket companies put info about he unstrung SW of their rackets on the frame or on the specs sheet. Some companies to that, the smaller ones.

    The old Major X-One Control (the predecessor of Tecnifiber) was already foam filled. Btw I still have one, classic control racket with tiny sweet spot - but that tiny spot is extremely sweet 😅 And it is definitely a solid feeling racket. But what else could it be being 315g unstrung combined with a 325mm unstrung balance. I didn't measure SW, but it must be high. And yet it is pretty manueverable.

      Every region is different I guess. The momentum in my region also shifted back in 2018-2019, when I started promoting Yonex rackets in my Czech videos. People were stunned by Yonex quality and technological innovations. Suddenly there were many juniors and young men switching from other brands to Yonex rackets. Now around me there are definitely more Yonex users than Babolat users. First place goes for Wilson/Head (Blade, Ultra, Pro Staff / Speed, Extreme, Booms, Radicals).

    Juniors, Womens side and 'sponsored' lure for players is what is keeping Babolat alive. Pure Aero 98s are becoming more popular than Pure Aero 100s and on certain Tennis Sales pages namely on fbook there is ALWAYS Pure Aeros for sale. Pure Drives are more seen on Womens side and its less and less on Mens. That being said Pure Aero is the leading line and without it Babolat would be struggling

      Good old aerodrive. Well, there must be something about these older rackets.

      Not a joke. A harsh reality. I'm talking about my region, Czech Republic. 20 years ago, Babolat was the biggest racket brand in the Czech Republic. The hype and the boom for this brand was crazy. Everyone was using those frames. There were probably 6 players out of 10 in every club using those rackets. Commercials and marketing was also everywhere. Babolat signs were hanging around tennis clubs. Babolat balls were also very popular. But now? I don't see Babolat in miles away. I know only 1 older coach using Pure Aeros, just for feeding the ball, not a real play. The majority of rackets I see around now are from Wilson, Head, Yonex. Sometimes Tecnifibre, Dunlop and now a huge impact have also Solinco. That's it. Babolat's support for players and coaches is very poor, they focus only on the top players in some categories. They ignore smaller players. I'm talking about my cousin 500 on WTA, who struggled to get any contract from Babolat. 500 in the world? Crazy. So she had to buy 6 rackets for herself with her own money, not support whatsoever. Babolat will struggle more and more in the future if they don't change the strategy and development. They need new rackets, better shoes, better clothes, better balls etc. Other brands are more innovative and hungry.

    Here in spain are quite popular. Price/performance are great. They fit a bit bigger than ASICS or others, so maybe check half a size down. In fact I own the Pro Ace, they are great, durable for 86kg 190cm man. However, I felt the need to change the insole looking for a softer feel

      I can see that. I agree, the Ace Pro feels quite stiff.

    I don’t get how there’s not many players using this PA Rafa on courts around here. Just strung up mine with rpm rough 17 at 322SW and 14.21 Twistweight. Couldn’t try it cuz it’s been raining and cold here. I did demo the PA100 and 98 last year and wasn’t sold on those. There r softer vs the APDs ya but didn’t feel like they r improved and would help my game. I’m hoping this PA Rafa will. 🙏🏿

      I think there will be less and less players using Pure Aeros in general .The popularity of this type of racket has peaked 5-10 years ago. Mostly among adults there is very few people that use them around me, almost zero to be honest. Children are still in the game with the Pure Aeros because they are quite easy rackets to use, simple. But players who want something more than just power/spin, they go for a different frame. And we have a lots of good frames around to choose from so there is no wonder why Pure Aeros no longer represent the majority of tennis rackets in clubs. The same goes with Pure Drives.

    Sounds promising, but I'm waiting until FootDoctorZach's review before any purchase.

      Yeah, he should do some reviews of Joma, pro's use them more and more so there must be something about this brand that works.

      Hi, it depends on what you prefer. Pure Aero - mix of spin and power. Pure Drive - mix of power and....power.

    As a beginner aiming to be intermediate, which one should I choose between the two? 1. Pure aero 100 (team) 2. Pure drive 100 (team) Should I go for team ones or the standard 300gm ones? Please let me know with reason.

      Beginners should always start with easier rackets, because you can always upgrade. So I encourage you to go with lighter racket first to get into the sport, get the feel for the ball and create a good technique without hurting your arm. I would go with Pure Drive 100 Team. Just my personal preference. But the Pure Aero Team can work as well.
