This will be interesting. I am soon in need of a new NICE clay shoe. Mizuno make great running shoes(top level if not equal no.1) however I have found for my feet they do not do well for Hardcourt tennis shoes
The WET 6. Is heavier and less breathable than the 5 . The shank is a full shank on the bottom and that adds weight along with the denser upper that wraps / hugs around the foot . This decreases are flow . The comparison is a night and day difference from the 5 to the 6 . Lateral stabilization with players who did not foward run . The 5 was designed for foward runners . The light version of the 6 is far more breathable and lighter . The problem with the light version is that lack of mizuno next foam like in the tour non light version . The added higher quality foam in the reg tour 6 was added to the forefoot and poss heel . This is based on trying the tour 6 and lights . I also own the tour 5's . The one I have is the hard court version . If the next gen of the lights give me the tour reg's foam , then I will purchase it . The next up date is not till 2026 .
This shoe is not designed for cushioning and overt stability , it is designed for agility with stability . There is additional cushioning that you can feel so that there is no bottoming out . The bounce rebound height is high . Look at Dr zacks testing on it . If you are looking at max cushioning then you are looking at the wrong shoe . If the wave enforce tour comes in a clay version , then that may be of more interest to you .. This shoe is designed for speed and agility . They have enhanced stability and durability at the cost of weight . On a clay court that is already far softer than a hard court , how much more cushioning could you need ? Even a hartrue gravel surface court is softer than a hard court . I have tried the wilson shoes and yes they are very suited to clay . Just don't dog something you have never tried on . The WET 4 and 5 were considered shoes of their years for a reason and after speaking to tennis warehouse directly and to a few of the Podcasters, they told me that if comparing others in the category that are heavier for hard courts , the lacoste lt23 ultra and the stripped down from the gel res for asaic / court ff3 the WET6 has the most durability and is within tge same range . They would choose it for durability and is lighter even now than the rest . On price , prices are going up on everything , the key is the best value in performance and durability for the money .
@derekpappas1556 more than 100€.. for my 90kg and my knees...hum Wilson shoes(57€ tennis Warehouse),Asics shoes, (résolution..),artengo shoes(80€) Less expensive and seems to work well. No?
