That’s awesome broski 😮🤝🤝🇺🇸 First!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 btw 😎😎🤓
@@justsomecoolprayingmantisd6422 😎😎😎
Very nice!
@@oakiewoodsman thank you brother, she came out good. This is the first 250 I have ported. Definitely happy with the results 😎 will be interested to see if muffler mod makes it any better, muff is stock right now..
@@timberandtools really? That is very interesting
@@oakiewoodsman absolutely. I’ll be posting more about it
What degree you sharpen your chains on your saws?
@@justsomecoolprayingmantisd6422 it depends normal is right about 30 but if I’m cutting real hard or dead wood I’ll close that up to 15-20
Nice brother 🤝🇺🇸. Getting ready to post mine running. But I’m gonna go home and find a nice juicy log to let it eat on 😅
@@justsomecoolprayingmantisd6422 oh heck yeah!!👍
Great job on that one, cutting like a beast!
Thank you! Really appreciate that😎
Awesome saw to port!
@@PurpleNovember she really runs good can’t wait till it’s broken in
@@PurpleNovember this was a kit saw too
@@timberandtools whats a kit saw?
@@christopherpejcinovic2981 from farmertech it’s a complete saw disassembled in a box. Bought it from bluesaws.com
If that was white oak the 440 prob would win
@@Erik-t7h they are very close no doubt, do you have both? Which on do you prefer?
@@timberandtools I've had 372xp Husqvarna and ran 462s logging and the 462s are hurting a little on torque I like how they handle they're light but that's what made me think in hardwood a 440 prob could hold its own . We had a 461 that cut hardwood better than the 462 we had idk maybe we had a weak one
@@Erik-t7h 461 def has more torque little bit more cc but the 462 is great saw all around. They run out of hard pulling on the chain after a 28” bar. I do think the 440 has more torque though just a touch they are very close no doubt. 372 great saws as well
@@timberandtools yeah 462 is a good saw
@@Erik-t7h they are 100%
Just bought myself a 2nd hand, 3 year old ms170, it’s not even arrived yet but already I know I’m going to give this a go! As well as side chain tensioner and felling dogs 🙌🏻🙏
@@lntkernow for what they are they’re good 👌🏻 you gonna post a video for us!?
@@timberandtools maybe! I do more camping and hiking vids usually. Would like to try carving something for the garden though
@@lntkernow very cool 😎
So much easier when there’s a nice landing!
@@PurpleNovember yeah, this was quite a monster white pine. Removed a lot of it from over the house before we could send it 🪓
I got that pipe from Amazon for cheap so I bought it. I had it totally different but redone it.
@Timberandtools - hey buddy I finally posted a video even though I didn’t get it finished or it’s not running, but just wanted to share and show ya. I’ll be giving you a shout out in my description 👍🤝🇺🇸

Nice! Enjoying the summer up there?
Yeah, been pretty nice here. You surviving the heat down there ?
@@timberandtools Not really. This is our fifth summer down here and up until now we only thought Floridians hibernated briefly in the winter. Heat index of 110 is brutal down here! There’s a few transplants that are out in it that don’t mind but everyone else isn’t having it. Our pool isn’t heated or anything and it’s been mid 87’s to low 88’s since the beginning of June. Florida is usually cooled in the summer by the giant thermal mass surrounding it called the Atlantic and Gulf. Ocean temperatures are up this year, history says it’s just nature’s cycles.
@@PurpleNovember I am not sure if I’d survive the heat but you have to have a pool no doubt!!!!
That’s wrong

Funny review. You use a chainsaw like my dead grandpa. I have never seen anyone try to starting chainsaw with the blade cover on it. I run STIHL 021 for over 25 years. Going to get a new STIHL. Thanks for the review.
@@chefgiovanni 🤣🤣🤣thanks appreciate it

Nice feather ruffle .pleas😢e use the ppe.we the old school would like your future vids
@@user-kn5wz5gu3t right on 👌🏻
Just got one off a buddy he used it twice I paid $85 for it. How’s your still holding up? I’m planning to use it to clear some small overgrowth trees in back half of woods that o haven’t cleared in 4-5 years
@@Bustedkuhnuckles she still runs great!
Chains to tight
@@kai6265 yes it definitely was on there too tight. That is the way that I got it right from the dealer.
I fabricated me an exhaust for it 🤝. I will post video if you want to check it out sometime

I like living in mobile homes. The wind blows my house through the trees, versus getting trees through your home
@@pallmall5495 yeah definitely have some nasty tree damage lately!
The saw is just the engine, the chain does all the work, cheap saw, expensive chain
@@Frankowars this was a HIPA (china) chain.
do you sell polished ones?
No I don’t but it could be done. Send me an email 👌🏻
I'll video my exhaust build on mine here soon and post it.
Absolutely 💯
Getting ready to build exhaust for my 036 Pro 😎🤝🤘
036 is a great saw 💥💥
@timberandtools - thanks buddy 🤝. I am doing final preparations on it and will post video tonight hopefully. I had to clean up my welds a little bit because I believe my gas was about out on welder and looked crappy. I’m ocd on my welding, but as long as it’s burnt in and holds is all that matters right lol. Ill let you know when I post it
@justsomecoolprayingmantisd6422 sounds good!!👌🏻
I broke that white piece that holds the choke. Now what?
Well short of trying some sort of plastic repair you’ll need to change the whole piece out to repair that.
👍👍🌲🌲🌳🌳👊🏼💔💔💔💔
Just got 1 myself and biggest gripe is exactly what you mentioned with that factory chain being so damn aggressive and choppy. Slings big shit right back in the face of not careful. Glad I came across your vid man. And Iv been deciding on doing the 1/4 pitch swap. Have Egan pipe and dagws otw now then retune time so deff excited to get this thing set up right and rippin
Absolutely, she’ll be good to go after that !!
why would you use so much energy to turn the log? I watched log splitter video previously and that guy was smart. didn't use so much energy to turn and split the wood. he splitted little by little. he also had the same log splitter like yours.
Just for making video I normally don’t even split big wood like that. I’ll cut it up first
Open up muffler hole and get rid of limiter caps and readjust carburetor.
Already done with a video up haha
Don’t matter if you hit he ground still cuts and splits mine is 13 years
Absolutely
I'm not surprised because I have a Shindaiwa weed wicker. Their 2 stroke engines are well known to be "Good". I didn't know they made a chainsaw. Looking for a large Makita/Dolmar, but I might add the 600sx to my saws.
Yes 600sx is a great saw! Dolmar makes a killer saw as well 😎
Nice.
Ford ,Chevy , dodge ! All good cars ! But when someone gets a lemon they got it in for that brand ! Same with saws ! I’ve been cutting with mine for 4 years and I’d buy an other one !
Absolutely! I not a brand loyalist with saws. These are great👏🏻
48” max
65”
At least it’s coming down before it lands on the house.
Absolutely 💯 tree was toast! Sad to see it die being that it was so big
Those covers clear chips so much better than stock. We bought ours with captive bar nuts.
When I bought this the captive nuts weren’t optional yet 😬 but yeah wayyyyyy worth it
@@timberandtools That was a while ago!
@@PurpleNovember yeah I got an OG cover lol
Quite the holler spot. That is a huge ash hole.
🤣🤣🤣 it’s a big ash hole no doubt !!
6foot tall????
6’ wide, video doesn’t really depict how big this was
Yeah video don't exactly show dimensions

Love my 170! The new 162 sucks!
Saw a 172 recently and was thinking this probably also sucks 🤣
170 is great for the money
could it be that the bar and chain are not good for the chainsaw.. maybe a thinner bar like the original is needed.
No definitely not the case. I had the same effect with the original bar and chain. I reduced the bar size down to 16 inches in hopes that it was going to help with no change at all.
Good but fragile.. Used one at a buddies cottage... wires come out easily.. they kink.... but otherwise... amazing!
Had this a few years with no issues so far, not a bad unit for sure!
“Oh are yall still chippin?!” 😂
Just hedge trimmer running haha
You drilled your hard hat? That’s an automatic red tag defective.
Yep, I sure did
