- First start on this new Stihl Ms 400 chainsaw. I have grown to love these saws, figured it might be entertaining little video for y'all. This is running a 20" bar. Perfect for arborist work or firewood! Extremely versatile saw.

Such a great saw!!👍👍
ONLY top handle I run anymore 👌🏻😎
Have the 261,362,and 400 😜
Great line up 💥🔥
Can’t decide between this and a 362 for cutting a few cords of firewood a year and a couple wooded acres to keep up.
I have a good comparison video on my channel for you to see side by side cutting and times… personally I love the 362 however I think it is a new era with the 400 around now
Never ran a 362 but the 400 is impressive
@@randykeech3557 yeah the 400 is a great saw!! The 462 packs quite a bit more punch as well for an extra half of pound in weight 😏
Awesome new chainsaw. Are 20 pulls the average level for a new chainsaw to start?
Depends, if equipment has a primer bulb it will be considerably less!!
I like my 400
Indeed, I’ve had one for about 1.5-2 years. Great saw!! What size bar you running?
@@timberandtools I got a 20" on mine. I was thinking about getting a TsuMura light bar for it
@@oakeymt.outdoors they scream with a 20” I usually have a 25” on mine. I’ve always run the Tsnumara bars (if it wasn’t a Stihl bar)myself. They are good. I have been tempted to try a farmer tech lite bar tho, way cheaper and pretty decent a friend sells them and runs em with good success. Only problem is they’re all .63 instead of .050 gage ! That’s why I haven’t tried on yet. I have 20 plus saws and a spool of chain that are .050 lol
@@timberandtools I have alot of saws too. I like sthil, husqvarna and echo. I don't know the exact number of saws I have. I would have to go count them. Lol
@@oakeymt.outdoors don’t go count them ahahahaha. Ignorance is bliss, I also like those saws. I have a soft spot for dolmar as well
Does it still take 20 pulls? 😮 my 462C I pull up 3x times slowly and it 90% of the time will start on the 4th.
This was just on new start up, never was fueled yet. This starts in a few pills now
@@timberandtools ahh sweet ☺️
