Easy Echo 2511 1/4” bar and chain swap

- Not even 10 minutes anyone can do this 1/4 pitch conversion on the echo 2511 chainsaw. I also have used archer sprockets as well as oem echo sprockets but you can’t get them in the US anymore! this is ideal for doing pruning and trim work, also works great for removals too! #echo #chainsaw #echo2511
Hi , curious about the different oil holes , echo oils through stud holes , stihl doesn't, does it still oil ok
Yes this oils fantastic, can sling it in the air if I turned up oiler lol
Ralph do i NEED an impact? Trying to do it in the field. I know it’s rough place to do it but yeah.
It’s easier with an impact but you can use a boot lace and put the lace in the spark plug hole to stop the piston from moving
@@timberandtools yeah I just realized that haha might wait until I can use the impact I hate sticking stuff in the piston like that. Thanks bud.
@@Left2Suffer anytime 👌🏻👊🏻
There was a 241 on eBay it just sold about 20 minutes ago
Ugghhh !!! Let me know next time ya see one too 👌🏻
@@timberandtools I actually posted a comment an hour or two before but UA-cam deleted it for whatever reason.
@@PurpleNovember dang YT !
@@PurpleNovember my email is on the page maybe the about section to, I’d post it but don’t want the bots to get it
@@timberandtools Yeah I didn’t think about that till later. That’s my plan for next time.
I still haven’t gotten a 2511t for the bar and chains. I think the bar I have is 14” but I’d like to have the 16”. A 16” is probably a bit much for regular use but it’ll be a great size to keep in the tractor cab. I can cut through a 30” log and probably get enough cut on a 36” to break it with the tractor.
I’m waiting on the last (hopefully) stuff for the 241, it should be up and going in a week or two or maybe a bunch 😂 Still not sure what bar and chain I’m going to run.
It will run a 16” but it’d be a bit slow. They run a 14” decent though
@@timberandtools I’ll probably just use the 14” I already have. I did get to try one with a 16” or 18” panther but the chain was pretty dull with aggressive rakers and it was in very hard oak so I couldn’t really tell how it did. We’re working on a 20” .325 full skip chisel for our 355T, mostly to keep in the tractor for occasional use.
@@PurpleNovember oh definitely!!!!! 355 will pull it easy. It is a very small and handy saw to keep with you the little 2511! They use a common bar mount same as all small echos I believe
@@timberandtools I’d like to have 3/8” on it but I ended up with the bar for free and a loop of chain for around seven bucks. I actually can’t stand .325, it just annoys the hell out of me for some reason. 😝 I think it’s just the smaller cutting teeth are harder to sharpen and how quickly they dull compared to 3/8.
@@PurpleNovember so funny you say that about .325 I feel the exact same way about it 🤣 I just don’t like it!!!!
Czy jest jakaś różnica? Szybciej tnie?
It’s just different, cuts are similar time but 1/4” is way smoother and has small quarter tip nose on bar for easier pruning
@@timberandtools zastanawiałem się czy warto zmieniać. Tnę głównie gałęzie na opał do 10 cm.
@@oscaradrenalina1 yes if you do any pruning work it is very much so worth changing
