Is there an amazon link for the blow dry brush?
🎉🎉🎉
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Looks amazing!
They've discontinued the Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Leave in! Every time I like something...boom, it's gone.
I have been using cool water after deep conditioning to close cuticle on my high porosity hair works for me.
do your silk presses last longer due to the keratin treatment? if so, how long between wash days after your silk press? it looks so good!
Absolutely! I could never stretch for long periods in summer without it 😩 && I personally like to wash my scalp often so 2 -3 weeks max xx
Looking good!!! Please share with us what your weekly wash day will look like with the weave, and how you’ll deal with the scalp itch and your leave out 😊
Thank you! & I absolutely will ❤️
Yesssssssss…. I plan to sew in 9 months this year… I dye bundles and hair black as well … we’re definitely on the same hair camp!
Omg love this! We will really be in this together 🤣🫶🏾
@@naturalnadineeoh - Nadine , Questions….. - leave out, braid down pattern , if you used a net, how long you plan to keep it in , is it going to be back to back , how you going to moisturize etc …oh and I used adore the first time I dyed bundles , but my hairdresser told me it’s better to use Clairol permanent on bundles as the adore will wash out
Question for you….when ur hair becomes heat trained, or relaxed….why doesn’t the hair type change? Can’t wait to see how you take care of this! ❤
@@mrod87 I’m not sure you know😅 my natural texture is and will always be type 4 And thank you!❤️❤️
Adding to this: External modifications such as perms, heat application etc. have no effect on genetics. The hair that grows out of your scalp will remain true to your genetics. There are times when your genetics and age can alter hair types and characteristics such as colour, coarseness, fineness, thickness, density, straight or curliness etc. hope this helps answer your inquiry as well.
Happy new year guys!! I have missed yall!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Since I've been using a hair serum and a small dab on leave in conditioner, my hair has been so shiny and moisturize. I stretch my silk presses for about 3 weeks. The amount of length that I have retained is amazing.
@@aliahassan8076 it seems like 3 weeks is the best for length retention all the long hair girls do 3 weeks. I don't know how y'all go that long 😭 my scalp smells gross by day 7
I think the bristle brush snaps little hairs especially if we have fine hair
oh wow, how is your hair straight when it’s wet too ? I’m new here & after dealing with my hair today, it’s either go bald or straighten. 😭 I’m so tired.
@@tunes003 hey girl! keratin treatment although its only temporary makes my hair so much more manageable when it’s straight!xx
Do you have any recommendations for 4c leave out? I prefer sew ins w yaki hair. I want to relax my leave out but you said you advise against it
Wait why do you oil your ends if that doesn’t moisturize them (you said this in another video, in the comments). And your hair is dry when doing it?
@@litlikelika heyyy I always apply a leave in before oiling the leave in will hydrate my hair before adding the oil xx
@ thanks for answering. which leave in? I may have missed it
Tip to all of us: do a protein treatment with heat PRIOR to heat styling it helps prevent the heat damage. It’s the only way it works for me,
Very helpful, thank you! 🩷
Literally none of those tips have helped my hair to not revert. Is there maybe a different tool you can mention that you use? I’m kind of just giving up at this point.
Have you ever tried getting a wet wrap? Basically you wrap your hair all around your head in a wet state and sit under a hardcase hair dryer. Since your hair is very straight as you wash it now, I think you would get the same results minus the blowdrying.
Ohh now I’ve actually never tried that! That does sound like something that would actually work really well! Do you reckon it’s less heat than a round brush too?🤔 xx
I think so. Adding perhaps a cream heat protectant, perhaps a setting lotion add, then wrapping the hair with white wrapping paper for the hair and put a hairnet on to keep it together. I used to get it done all the time at the salon before I came out of my perm and went curly natural. Your hair looks great. 😍 ❤️
Do you have fine or medium strands ? Or coarse?
I’d say fine to medium! Definitely not coarse!😩
What are your thoughts on bond builder treatments like k18 , living proof bond complex , epres , redken, not your mother , dove bond strength, garnier filler line ? Could you do a video on the research of what’s best or what to use together
Hey girl! I love bond builders! I have a video on these here How to use OLAPLEX & Bond builders as a straight hair natural! | Natural nadine ua-cam.com/video/0fJeAHyff_Q/v-deo.html
My thin hair hold no moisture at all after a week , It's so dry I must to re apply moisture or it will break off . So what do i add that will add moisture without changing the press on my hair ?And moving south didn't help . Now I have to keep my natural hair in a protective style because of the humidity . After 1 hour I look like Fredrick Douglass.... And was told I had Low porosity by the water test ......
Keratin treatment changed the game on my hair journey. So glad I found you
Happy for you!🥹 & thank you 🤍
Is there a video showing how to use the products that you’ve recommended?
I knew my hair was high porosity. Thank you for confirming this, what a relief. 😅
What if you have low porosity hair
Omg this is it!!! You cracked the code for real!! Jumping on this asap!!
Girl do it!! I love it here🤣❤️
I cant even find the conditioner
Can we get a week in your natural hair ? X
I will definitely be filming one in the new year!🥹x
If my scalp is dry can I apply the oil directly or would my hair need to be hydrated before applying the oil ? I’m a curly natural wanting to switch to straight natural for length retention. It’s to my understanding that you don’t put oil on dry hair it will seal in dryness. So you hydrate with water then use oil on top. How can I do this with straight hair ?
Hey girl perfect timing I just made a video on how to moisturise straight hair! How to moisturise your silk press on Type 4 straight natural hair | Natural Nadine ua-cam.com/video/Yp4cPyDq5UI/v-deo.html With regards to scalp it really depends on why your scalp is dry, if it’s just weather related then absolutely oil your scalp but also try to adress the root cause of the dryness could be your shampoo or genetics etc!
I do weekly silk presses because after 7 days my hair and scalp need that H2O , shampoo, and a deep conditioner
@@NaomiIsles I love this! Think I’m ready to switch to weekly silk presses too tbh because it doesn’t even take that long either!xx
@@naturalnadineedefo a game changer!!
I've been thinking about doing this, but I get lazy about frequent wash days. 😩
I use a leave in on my ends when I have a silk press too
It makes so much sense x
Can you do a keratin treatment if you have relaxed hair?
I've been doing the leave-in/oil combo on my braidouts and it hasn't been reverting the ends, so I've curious about trying it on just a regular blowout as well.
Should definitely work!
I found that I no longer need to moisturize my hair anymore with washing every 7-10 days by 10 days its dry dry so i just wash my hair every 7 days and its super soft moist and no longer gets dry or break off. I do apply a lightweight serum to my ends during the week for protection.
This is literally the life hack! More wash days but also do you silk pressing every week? That’s why I like to prolong my wash days to minimise the heat😩 might have to give in be a weekly wash babe again it makes so much sense xxx
@naturalnadinee yes girl I silk press weekly lol sometimes I do a soft press which is simply turning down the heat and it's more of a fluffy silk press if that makes sense. I have no damage. For soft press I just do 370 degrees and for my normal press 390-410 my hair is too thick to just leave in a blown out state and it gets tangly. I went back to being a straight natural same time you did just for reference lol
Washing my hair every week, religiously, has saved my hair!!!
Yep!! I literally do the same wash every 7-10days and my hair is never dry any more. I silk press basically every week, I will spend a week here or there with just a blow out, but that's just if I'm too lazy to flat iron, I normally be sticking to my press routine!! Glad to see other women doing weekly washes and presses, because some people look at me like I'm crazy 😂
@jaybeey7239 girl right! no shade but I think it's gross to go weeks without cleaning your scalp it has a smell and most of the time they can't smell it themselves. Washing and pressing your hair weekly is not an issue a dirty scalp is
Hello Nadine! Stretched hair is the best hair! Almost 3 years Natural myself, I did a Rosemary Challenge? (currently in Effect) almost a year come January of 2025... 🙌 Praise God whom ALL BLESSINGS Flow... (I see LENGTH now) p s. Keep up the good work Ma' Dukes aka Latasha is watching?
Awww love this for you & thank you for sharing! HEAVY on God knowing and nurturing every strand on this head!❤️❤️
I’ve been wearing my natural curly and in braids.. decided to go straight natural to retain😢 length.. currently following a routine. Current length. Neck length. It really should be shorter. I’ll keep trimming until I get there 😂♥️
Hahaha I hear you girl my hair could deffo be shorter but trimming as I go is deffo the way! Wishing you all the best on your journey xx
Well said 👏
Thank you!🥹❤️
is our natural sebum not enough i wonder? my hair gets really greasy so i tried not oiling my ends and it seemed fine!
It’s absolutely optional, not everyone’s hair gets greasy enough all depends on your sebum production & also a little hydration from leave in is always good on top of oiling/sebum coverage xxx
@@naturalnadinee thank you for answering!
I just started being a straight hair natural so I still have some single strand knots, I use camielle rose almond custard or redken acidic curl leave with …. Grease otherwise it sounds like pop lock and drop it
@@fashionaddict9294 pop lock and drop it🤣🤣🤣 that’s so funny but yes try keep it moisturised as possible to avoid the breakage xx
Cyndoll Cyndoll Cyndoll watch her
Yes, my daughter tells me that my hair is stringy because I apply oils. How often do you wash? Also what is your opinion on setting lotions / foams / mousse instead of leave in conditioner
Yeahh it gets like that sonetimes😩 if I was going somewhere nice I would 100% dry shampoo beforehand, it helps to absorb the oils and make my hair flowy again or just do a wash day, I’m at once every week 1/2 now that I only blow out but if I was silk pressing I would push it much longer 3 weeks. && I like to use mousses etc when styling but never as an alternative to leave ins xx
@@naturalnadineeok , I’ve started roller setting at night instead of wrapping to get a bounce in the hair .. still trial and error
@@CharlotteMasonTT ooo do you use flexi rods or actual rollers? I’ve tried pin curls before but I’m so bad at them😩🤣
@@naturalnadineerollers, ( 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 dia) it takes getting accustomed to to sleep in. The flexi rods I have are small diameter, also my perm rods, I see people on UA-cam get nice ringlets from those , but I still have to practice the smaller diameters .
Watch cyndoll sis wash your hair weekly
I am relaxed and also heat trained I’ve been following your tips and from other creators. The biggest change I’ve noticed is when I started to use oil serums for only my hair (not the scalp). For the scalp I use Mielle rosemary oil and this combination is chefs kiss for me. I only use these products 1/2 a week. Also I only use redken and Amika bond repair line. Big changer….i almost big chopped my hair and I’m glad I did not do it. Also I have a steamer now and my hair is doing so well. Also: speak or meditate with your hair. Give it some Love through words ❤
Aww thank you! & that is so nice about speaking to your hair with love it’s so true!🤍🤍
I just got the Amika Bond repair. I hope it helps me retain length
@@VirgosGroove3 you Will notice a difference immad
Shame I’m just finding this. If you go to a salon for Olaplex treatment, no2, how often should you be getting it? It’s a lot more powerful than 3.
The nose, the hair … successful transformation !! That advice on keratin and using high end products is golden . Thank you
Girl thank you! I love it here 🥹🥹
Daaaaaaang Nadine, your hair is traveling!! So beautiful.
Thank you🥹🤍
When I get my smoothing treatment done at the salon (which usually lasts about 3 months), I noticed my hair looks healthier and grows. I will start getting that and doing my own hair at home with the system in my hair.
Smoothing the hair been a game changer for me too!x
My silk press can last for 2 months without washing in between and without putting heat on my hair.
I have a question. First off; love your videos. Sometimes I can get overwhelmed with the different products that I should be using. I generally used olapex . I just need to know if this order of products for wash day makes sense Bond builder (olaplex) Hydrating shampoo Hydrating conditioner Deep conditioner Silicon mix to seal everything in. Is that overkill?
Thank you for sharing! You are so beautiful and you have such a beautiful spirit and expression. Jesus loves you!
Aww thank you so much girll he loves you too! & I LOVE JESUS!❤️
