This video was really helpful. I've basically been following your advice since the infamous "high porosity" video. It's nice to see some science-based advice in the black hair community. I remember back in the day when I first went natural with the LOC method and I would leave greasemarks on everything my hair came in contact with. Gone are those days.
Ive been incorporating her tips a lot this year….oil pre poo, deep conditioning with heat, adding acv, keeping hair stretched and with light products to seal in moisture from DC and leave ins. Bringing my PH down….my hair is a lot more manageable, and i still have my curls!
All shampoos need a high(er) PH but they don’t need be higher than 5.5 to clarify silicones or anything else my current shampoo is PH 5.3 and clarifies perfectly 😊
Love your videos!!♥️ How long does it take for the hair to get heat trained? Because my hair is still pretty difficult to manage when wet/blowdrying and doesn’t get wavy or has movement, still has the same curl pattern and shrinkage( type 4c btw) please help a girl . Thanks Nadine
I'm not the poster but! Here is my routine. I use regular conditioner to detangle my hair in 4 sections. I shampoo each section 3 times with head and shoulders. I rinse and use a silicon deep conditioner w/o a plastic cap. I rinse completely! You have to rinse a whole lot you should have no produce in your hair before you add your heat protectant. I apply an oil based heat protectant, blow dry, and flat iron! I flat iron at 420. I use the unbrush for all of this. Best wishes!
I have used an amino acid system because in terms of heat training to reduce texture it can take a LONG time and a lot of heat it honestly is different for everyone some people can silk press 20 times and still have their curls/texture especially if you’re doing it in a safe way xx
U should make an ebook or a master class/mini course for people wanting to become straight naturals. I feel like this could be a good income stream for you. (also selfishly requesting this for myself. 😂)
Can you make a video about the Silkout smoothing system? It claims to repair all three bonds in the hair and offer curl reduction, restoration, and smoothing depending on application.

Am confused, what is Natural straight hair? Relaxed or?
@@deglowk3405 nope, no relaxers just straighten your natural hair x
