Hiya! Love alllll the videos - I am a recent straight natural after having curls for 7+ years! Your videos are fab - Can we get a Gym hair routine video? And an updated night routine ? Keep up the great work xx
😩 finally putting in effort for my hair it’s always been long but I only washed it every month or two and I didn’t condition good. Thankfully it’s healthier now after a proper routine!
Im Watching all your curly videos and your advice is top tier. I love to flat iron at the beginning of each season. Will be implementing your tips accordingly! Thank you corazon 😘
Please can you do a video on how much and how you apply the silicone mix, how you actually wear your hair thru the day and how you wear it at nighttime?
Do you lather twice when you shampoo? Also, I'm with you on the clarifying thing. At one point I went crazy with it and even chelating 😮 and my hair was horrible! I never clarified back in the day and my hair and scalp were just fine.
Yes twice sometimes 3 times! && Yeahh I gave up on them even though I use a lot of silicones I find my shampoo lathered twice does the job! I’d rather double cleanse than use a harsh shampoo xx
May we get a video about gelatin and it's research for curls and follicle? I learned that it may nourish follicle and whatnot, but curious to know the deep info about this. :)
Hi Nadine, thanks for your tips! So I’m starting out as a heat trained natural now. My only thing is I love the sauna and want to be able to go there like once a week. I wonder if I would have to start from scratch after visiting the sauna or does it get to a point where you are heat trained enough that you can simply put the hair in a bun at night? Sorry for the long winded question
Hey girl my gym has a sauna too I go in 1/2 times a week! I find because the sauna is DRY heat it’s fine just tie your hair up and wear a sweat band and make sure you dry your hair quickly after. I don’t use the steam room unless im washing my hair within a week or so because it’s wet heat && yes most nights I don’t do a traditional wrap I just either bun or tie my hair up I haven’t found my favourite way of sleeping at night yet xxx
Thanks for the video and the tips. Just wondering if you ever use a wide tooth comb in the mornings too, your hair? Also I love the tangle teaser but I only use it in the shower when I'm detangling my hair because I go between wash and goes and silk presses during the year.
How do you maintain it in summertime when it's humid outside? How often do you straighten it? I'm thinking of becoming a straight hair natural like my sister that has waist length hair as a straight hair natural. Your hair is beautiful.
Love your videos! Curious, do you experience a lot of shedding after a few weeks because of the roots texture over that time? If so, what do you do to deal with it?
But how do you know the silicone are being washed out proper if you don't use a clarifying shampoo? I wanna try heat styling more, but like you, I don't trust oil heat protectants at all. But I've been sold the idea that silicone don't wash out easy at all, and my main shampoo right now is(unbeknownst to me at the time of purchase) sulfate free. So now I'm worried the silicones won't come out if I use them for my blow outs😅
Hey girl! In short it’s a common misconception that you need sulfate to wash out silicones I go into more detail in this video ua-cam.com/video/Da-EIss-Vec/v-deo.htmlsi=6kdAjSkPDZXguXJH But to summarise shampoos contain other surfactants that can break down silicones effectively sulfates are more effective at removing oils than silicones hence why they’re common in dish soaps and other soaps. Silicones also break down themselves over time. As long as you are using a shampoo (not a co wash or cleansing conditioner) and lather well it will effectively remove silicones xx
@@Btsalien07 yes but would also depend on what the root cause is, sometimes an excessively flaky scalp is actually caused by too much oils/dead skin build up, so would highly depend xx
@ right now it’s just the weather It’s pretty dry climate where I live in winter time so by the time I double cleanse and all my scalp is very bare😂, and in general I have dry skin it’s always been like that, I just wanted to know how to oil and avoid it getting stiff after like 2-3 days
@@Btsalien07 ohh okay girl then oil away! It’s cold out here so absolutely makes sense your scalp needs that extra TLC in winter especially if your skin is naturally dry aswell xx
Hi. Do you ever have issues with little pieces breaking off the ends when you comb or brush your hair? I have struggled with this forever. I’ve tried regular trims, moisture, protein, oil, 18 different brushes… Just wondering if you encounter this at all.
Hey , yes on occasion but nothing ever been too drastically noticeable for me 😩 do your ends get thin really quickly ? (Less than 6 months after a trim?)
I had that same problem! I realized that I had protein overload. I stopped using every product that has protein. I now use the Shea moisture manuka honey (main focus is hydrating the hair) I am trying to find a balance between the two
Hey girl no sulfate I believe and yes I pre poo wil oil but I don’t go crazy just a few drops to coat the hair and I use Jojoba which is very light and easy to wash out xx
Well is there anyway you could switch up styles in between maybe blowout one week and straight hair the next? I think fortnightly is okay but weekly is a lot of heat imo (not impossible tho)!xxx
Hey, is there a heat protectant that can be used after blow drying and before straightening, that also doesn’t contain water? The only ones I know are the oil based ones like that bonding oil. Which heat protectants are silicone based?
Based on the pics you presented and the time frame you also mentioned, your hair has grown more than 6 inches in much less than a year. There's no way my hair can grow THAT fast.
how do you currently wear your hair? I also thought I had a slow growth rate (6 inches a year roughly retaining 3/4 when curly) it’s only now I wear my hair straight I’m visibly seeing the growth as well as retaining more length I realise my hair actually grows quite a lot😂 x
@@naturalnadinee I roller set it and usually keep it in a bun. It's not stick straight so yes, I can't see the true length. It's kind of growing this time, despite living in a very dry climate. Just, it looks like yours grew 9 or 10 inches in a year!
@@KevvaPMcK ohh okay! && oh definitely not 9/10 inches My hair would be waist length if that was the case😂 but I would say I’ve realised my hair grows quite quickly likely genetically but being straight has helped me to retain more x
my issue with my scalp is after about 5 days it smells bad because of working out. Thank you for all the great information!!
Could you show us a week in your hair please? Thank you ❤️

Hey girl xx Not as much! But they are also a good option for more gentle detangling than styling brushes xxx
Loving the hair videos 🥰
Could watch you all day!
What is your hair goal if I may ask?
Thank you girl! && I don’t really have one tbh I’ve been kinda vibesing I’m definitely focusing more on length retention tho xx
