there is no need to cheat with the camera...you can use the conditions tab and steer the torp with the numpad ...use 8 and 5 to control torp depth.

24:00 those are torp DDs. Their guns are for aa. And they probably are sub hunters, having missile torps loaded only. Its a sub game after all lol, they where not expecting an american missile DD.

I hate how this mod doesn’t let you disable the promotion and prestige system to actually play good Soviet boats. It seems politically biased against socialism tbh and not very informed on the atrocities of imperial Russia and the West’s demonization of the Soviet Union early on. I’ve also sank a Modern NATO Cargo ship when give the degeneracy combat patrol mission only to fail the mission. Note this was the only convoy that showed up the whole time!

These games are for people who have a vivid imagination for sure! We also like silent hunter 3 and SH5 TWoS Not to mention sub command and dangerous waters... I dislike the as a dish style of Cold Waters tho. Btw I'm running SH5 twos on windows 11, lil tweekig need but if you need help just reply here. All my games are Steam versions, sub command and fleet command are also wining fine after weeks. Easy to do btw

I played this campaign recently... went down to 700ft depth and ahead full straight to the drop off point. Didn't get detected until the last minute, when I surfaced to release the seals. I will try it again without surfacing.

How do u manually fire your guns, cause when i click on the gun icon, it only switches from hold fire to fire at will and automatically aims gun on the seoected contact but only when in range

I just installed the Steam version on my windows 11 machine, works great, just finished the training missions as refreshers and ready to take on the real missions and campaign.

Is this the Steam version?

My biggest tip is look out for when you unlock the CRE-P robots. I'm not sure if there are better combat bots, but I just unlocked the CRE-P last night and having the ability to set a couple of them around with patrol points has made sure my lower subsections are free of nests. They are expensive, taking 3 Circuits (refined Gold) to craft each one, and once they're built they do continuously consume one robot station as they will return to the station to repair, reload, and refuel if any of their stuff gets low. Just be careful as they can still be destroyed, and they're especially vulnerable while charging because they won't shoot back.

You can add anti air missiles in the text file for the surface ships configuration in the game file.

I had some success by sinking all the escorts then picking the cargo ships off with Harpoons at the end. Not sure it was quite the right plan but it was fun.

I really enjoy Cold Waters, but I truly hope they fix the physics in this game as well as other things. I'm aware that most of the games creators are working on the new Sea Power, but hopefully we get a more realistic update on weapon impact. Warships have watertight bulkheads, so being hit with one torpedo front, centre or rare end will not sink the ship. Nor would one or two Harpoon hits. I think the new Sea Power is sorting this problem, but we'll see. 👍

The manual that came with this was thick and had a LOT of information in it. It was wild.

I loved that game/simulation as a kid. While it fell short in detail and realism compared to the Falcon series initiated by Spectrum Holobyte, it was still a blast to play. What modern developers have done with that series is amazing despite it being a very niche market.

This is the first time I have watched one of your videos. I noticed that your screen view of the game is a bit different than mine. My sub controls are on top of the sub monitor area located at the lower of the screen. And the torpedo control to the right of that is smaller. I just started playing this game about three weeks ago.

Someone must really have it in for the Rep. Guard - two FAE runs in a row... guess they owe someone some money real bad 😅 I actually thought that the mission text must have glitched out last mission when it talked about taking photos of them instead of destroying them; seeing it happen again, I guess there must actually be an error in the mission details within the game itself, like the designers accidentially tagged the wrong mission with that blurb...I wonder if you can pull the opposite blurb/objective combination at some point 🤔

So many good memories of this game :) Spent a lot of times playing this as a kid, along with F19. I don't think i ever managed to complete a single mission, just took of and shot things up :P but it was fun
