We made sure 1 decoy was loaded, changed encounter distance to 10 km (instead of 25) then entered the scenario, immediately go to silent running, and deployed towed array. We wanted to be very sure we would catch the enemy subs.
We got a fishing trawler, and the Oscar, and it's above the layer. We slowed down, then sank below the layer and launched 2 torpedoes east, to be doglegged north.
We went back above the layer, hoping to guide the torpedoes in, but we were unable to reacquire the Oscar. Turns out she's way to the northeast. AND we also found the Victor III, both are below the layer now, audible due to the torpedoes spooking them.
Decided to send a torpedo after Victor III just to chase it away from the Oscar. The other torpedo was launched above the layer, and Oscar apparently did not hear it as it started to turn south, allowing the torpedo to cut the corner and catch up, and Oscar took a hit. But she executed an emergency blow and got to the surface.
I sent a torpedo after it, then decided I was being dumb, so I loaded a Harpoon anti-ship missile as well, and launched that against the Oscar, which sank her.
I tried to sink the Victor III, but after Victor III outran 3 torpedoes, I decided enough is enough and disengaged.
