How do they compare to CWC and MWC military watches. Can’t afford either so looking for a good alternative. Anyone gives me a honest rundown I would be grateful as I’m suspicious of Far Eastern products!!!!

Must have a lemon. Bezel action is awful. Can barely turn it. Not much satisfaction from the manufacturer. Won't be returning to this brand.

I noticed the Tudor pelagos FXD bezels are different between the black and blue models. Some section have 3 hash marks, while some have 4, but all of them had the 4 hash marks at bith side of the "0" at the 12 o clock.

Ixdao with logo has incredible quality and offered with Swiss movement too if this gets close to this I’ll be buying but need to get rid of the name first

They need to change company name and use of two indexes at 12 o'clock instead of a logo. Also removing the date display would make the dial more symmetrical. Better mechanism like miyota 9 Series then PT5000

Owning one now and I have to say it even got better: Drilled Lugs now and great straps: Their green canvas leather strap is excellent, their green NATO is super. Very happy with both watch and accessories. And we talk about a 45 USD watch!

I have often wondered why these Ali watch brands do not hire a professional marketing specialist firm to assist them with selecting a good brand name. It is obvious that some of them are directed mainly at the western world purchasers but the names can be ridiculous. They need to consult better when selecting brand names and maybe even logos. It shouldnt be that hard.

Is it really waterproof? Any tests?

Whilst the finishing is superb and the colour combo of the second and GMT hands is a good contrast what is really underwhelming is the size of the hour and minute hands. They just need to be slightly bigger. On the BOR bracelet or a leather strap it fits great but on the single pass San Martin nylon strap it sits too high on wrist due to the case back sitting lower than the slim case design with drilled lugs. Although it’s a slim case height overall anyone with a smaller than 7 inch wrist will find that it doesn’t look great. Avoid aftermarket Nato and single pass straps. Best on the BOR bracelet by far. Overall great value for money but it’s not perfect. Broader hands would definitely improve it.

Really good watch. Keeps great time. Lume is really nice and last well. I had bought with the stainless steel bracelet but it was very poor. Spring bar pops out of clasp, falling off my wrist. I replaced with a steeldive 22mm black resin strap with its awesome buckle. Seems to match the over size watch head. My finishing seems fine along the side , nothing bad really. More industrial and less fussy,which I like. Cheers

They tried a written name on the dial. Geuss what? No one likes it. I like the logo and have all 3 logos they tried. Your whinging about the new clasp and people moaned about the old one for months. Some people are never happy I guess.

I bought the San Martin “Burgundy” and I have to say that watching your review before buying it helped me appreciate the watch better, I had an idea of what I was getting and didn’t have high expectations. I guess that we do appreciate your honesty and critical viewpoints. Having said this, yes, I would buy this WatchDives just from the looks. I’d live with the non-rotating bezel. Also: I hope you make that video that will tell your story behind that Hruodland you’re wearing.

Thanks for being brave enough to make Homage watch reviews. I have the addiction of buying and collecting watches; unlike some watch collectors I don’t like buying and selling watches after I get them, if I don’t like them there is always a Veteran friend who won’t mind getting a free watch, so I give them away. We all know Swiss, German and bigger brand names offer a better quality but that reflects in the price as well. If I was to buy Brand name watches I would be broke by now. So thanks for helping me make an educated decision and keep more of the Ali Express watches I buy.

The fact that this watch is $250 to $289, and you admit that it has flaws, undermines your "BEST" designation. Is the watch better finished than San Martin, Cronos, or Baltany? Although this watch is a homage to a rare GP model, the design is rather MEH. There are plenty of impressive clomage watches at this price point, with finishing that rivals Swiss watches costing ten to twenty times more, so lauding this new model with superlatives is suspicious.

Looks great, guess I will just wait for them to make a pink gold and/or titanium colour + gold case variations since I don't need yet another edc beater homage from another Chinese brand. 😅

A great quality mild double-dome sapphire crystal like the ones Baltany offered on their Type-B chrono fliger would have made me a buyer of this watch, but.....

Solid review, bud. though I'm not sure why you are pronouncint it with a "d" in the name...Bed-timer. the double "t" shouldn't be separated out....I've been going with Bet-im-er because I'm really not sure of the right way to pronounce it...but it at least sounds OK that way...lol and as nother has mentioned, Half-links are in the works
