This is the best looking "original" watch San Martin have produced in my opinion. The color combo is perfect for a summer watch. It's pricey but you're getting a lot for the money.

It's less than a Seiko 5KX, and with the discount, the same price as a Q Timex GMT. Could be interesting.
Pricey??? This is dirt cheap for the materials used and labor. All the machine work required and hand case work done. I kept wondering how in the hell do they do it for this little amount of money?! And I watched a fantastic video from Medford knives and he explained what it costs to make everything from simple screws down to the blade in America. And he explained what the Chinese are doing to make those same parts and selling them for pennies. The Chinese government needs to keep over a billion people employed and fed. So they subsidize these Chinese companies and take massive losses when making these items. This is the result a product sold at super low prices thanks to the Chinese government subsidizing it all. If something changes in the Chinese economy kiss these well made watches at low prices gone!
Loss leaders. Their watch industry has diverted western funds and caused manufacturers to close down or move to china .Every dollar spent in the dollar stores harms the American economy,plain and simple.Factor in the fentanyl deaths and the cost of keeping the ones who survive alive and there’s a recipe for war disguised as a successful economic campaign
Very respectable for San Martin to try an original design, specially taking advantage of the flood of Seiko GMT movements. I absolutely hope that we will be seeing the start of high-quality, affordable original watches from China.

So, it's a $280 ($240 with discount) GMT watch with an original design, Seiko automatic mechanical movement with 41 hours power reserve, 316L stainless steel 39.5mm case with brushed and polished finishing, sapphire crystal, 24 clicks bidirectional bezel with ceramic bezel insert, color-matched date, applied hands and logo, Super-LumiNova BGW9 lume, signed screw down crown, solid end links, solid links bracelet, and milled clasps with six positions on-the-fly micro-adjustment. Is this an (almost) perfect watch, except for the lack of a display caseback?
The lume on the bezel and the jubilee bracelet are great design choices. Need to pick one of these up ASAP

Is the non-lume GMT hand an issue for anyone? I figured this is a key feature that should be usable at night as well as day.
It's beautifully finished and looks like it wears very slim.
The triangle at the tip of the GMT hand has lume. It lined up with the marker at 5 o’clock so that’s why you couldn’t see it properly in the video. But rest assured there is lume 😊

Very nice. I think you are the first person to show this watch in person. I am definitely interested in the 3 Hand Version. Your review of the SN0121G along with Steve at Escape Wheel Watch Review convinced me to pull the trigger on that one early. Which is good because it’s sold out everywhere. Thanks!

I really like the look. I hope they make a version with Arabic numerals. This way there would be an affordable alternative to a longines Zulu gmt

In your video you said it's a 24 click bezel, which would be a deal breaker for me but from the video it looks like a 48 click bezel and it does actually align with the half hour markers.
There are 12 markers and the bezel removes by half a marker, so 24 in total

Are the edges of this better finished than their other watches like sn0121? I have that but the case and the bracelet are super sharp compared to seiko, etc.
The case is better because of the way it’s designed. The bracelet also feels a little better, but the clasp is exactly the same, so you have the sharp edges unfortunately

I like the colorway, it is like one of those Farer watches, I think SM copied LOL, I don’t think SM has a team who is dedicated to develop a watch with originality in it, they get each idea from one of the known brand or micro brands, then mixed it up, they are a copycat company. I just bought their omega railmaster homage white dial.
I don’t think Farer came up with colours and I don’t think it’s fair to say that all SM does is copy others designs. This watch is an original design from them and I appreciate that. Do the colours ressemble some other watches in the market, sure it does but we can say the about all black, blue or white watches.
Looks like they used the 62mas case and bezel (minus insert) for this one?
No the case is very different from there 62mas. I think it’s the same case as their 1957 vintage model sn0113, but with a rotating bezel

Nope not a single hair was lost in the past 24h 😄
