My wife just purchased this same model and year from hergood friend. I TOLD HER that her "friend" hadn't disclosed REMOTELY ALL OF THE ISSUES WITH THE CAR. She got a great price. But the total cost of repairing repairing just the most serious issues is more than the blue book value value of the vehicle. That is just the facts.

I'll have to give this a go tomorrow. The rain sensor was always terrible but I had my windscreen replaced and the idiots broke the mechanism. So doesn't detect and doesn't do intermittent. I'll try just disconnecting it.

This worked on my brand new 2024 Civic Touring. Thanks a lot for the video man. Wouldnt have occurred to me to try it. Highly disliked the rain sensing wipers. Take too long to wipe or even worse I like to use the INT mode when there is fog that constantly fogs up the windshield. Would not swipe as it wasnt detecting rain and would have to manually swipe every time 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 INT mode is so Much better, guaranteed wipe every 3/6/8/12 seconds.

My problem is 3 passenger windows won't even work with the switches, I tried the switches and they won't even go down. It's hard to believe all 3 switches are bad. Not sure?

Really picking out very minor issues. I know what you mean about using the screen to change settings, it could be easier. But overall I love my XJL. It’s a pleasure to be in. What a huge amount of car for little outlay. I have a 2011 3.0l diesel and acceleration is amazing for a boat on wheels. We can all find fault with personal preferences, but buy one with full service history and enjoy. 😊

An all purpose degreaser (we use Red Power) with a microfiber towel works far better and DOES NOT affect the white decals at all (totally safe). If your buttons are super sticky, use an alcohol prep pad to break up the initial residue, then proceed with the degreaser. Have done countless cars using this method and it's absolutely perfection every time!!
