Thank you! I thought I was going to have to take it to Lexus or a mechanic. It does not describe this in the manual, unless I missed it. You saved me worry, time, and money!
Thanks! You gave details that others don't (hold button for three seconds). What you said at the end taught me the importance to have all tires set & pressurized at the proper amounts just *_before_* doing this reset. Cheers!
Helpful video, thanks. One comment, be sure to check the pressure in the spare tire, it's part of the car's tire pressure warning system. Once I added air to the spare tire, the warning light went away.

My TPMS came on after i had a flat where the tire deflated rather quickly, maybe 30 seconds or so and I am not sure if that damaged the TPMS since I am not able to reset it using your method. It is a constant blinking rather than 3 times. Any idea if the procedure is different on my car or if the sensor is damaged? I have a 2009 ES350.
I’ve inflated all tires to 32psi and the spare to 60psi. When I start the car the tire pressure light blinks for exactly one minute then turns solid. Holding the reset for any amount of time does not fix this. Any ideas? 2010 rx 350
One (or more) of your old TPMS sensors need new batteries. Do it with your next new tires. Or don't bother and just top off your tires every 3-6 months at a gas station that has an auto-sensor pump.
I read that is not a reset button/ that’s why it says “set” that’s how to set the tire pressure whenever you get your tires worked on- Lexus website states that it the light stays on - there is some problem and the system (with no problems) should reset itself, so that’s the “set” button, but should not be used for “reset” - I might have interpreted wrong, but that’s the Lexus site- not me

If it blinks for one minute and then becomes solid, there is an issue with the tpms. Perhaps one of the sensors is dead. They have batteries inside which die after a while.
No secret. It's put there so people don't fuck with it. It's set from the factory and shouldn't be changed unless a different pressure that's different from stock is wanted.
Thank you! 48 seconds to answer a question, unlike the 11:27 seconds I wasted watching someone who has no mechanical ability what so ever.
Lol I like to get to the point.

😂

Sweet, you just saved me $25 at the shop. I saw the reset too in my 2018 Lexus ES 350., thanks
Thank you. I never knew. Unfortunately it didn’t work for me, so I must have a bad sensor.

This sets the TMPS pressure light to turn on at 5 PSI below your current tyre pressure.
Best video on UA-cam! Thanks a ton!
Thank you !
Does the car need to be in accessory mode or?
Finally I found this button. Thanks a lot

What are you trying to do
You are correct, I read that also. It makes sense to me. I feel it would say reset instead of set.
True, this video is false information.
Crystal is correct. The button is set a threshold for the tire pressure to trigger the alarm.
Going to try this later, hopefully it works for my car too, Thanks
Do I turn the car to 'ON' and then press the tpms button?
THANKS :) short & sweet ( very helpfull )

Beware, if the pressure is wrong on any of the tires...including the spare, you have incorrectly calibrated the system.
Yes that is correct you must use this feature only when the pressure is at the proper psi.
What is the "right" tire pressure? Isn't that largely a matter of preference?

So how do I know my tire pressure is 33 or 32 whatever, I am just new driver can anyone teach me pls
Look on the drivers door jam (the area between the drivers seat and the outside of the car when the door is open) it will tell you there.
@@XJLuxury thank you 😅
My button seems unresponsive. Maybe have to check the spare tire pressure?
Yes check it
Keep pushing ..it leaned on mine an hour and half before it worked
I think this only works within a certain limit of pressure.
Possibly
Any idea the pressure? I have 38psi throughout which hasn't fixed it. I imagine that's too high. 35psi might be it?
Is this with the engine in or off?
On
hmm i set all my pressure at 32 psi and after pressing it, it blinked 3 times and stayed on.. what do i do next? light is still on.

This button is not for reset. It just changes the psi boundary for the warning to be triggered.
