Loved your video, have watched several of yours so far. I currently have a 2016 XJL-R and absolutely love it, so it is nice to hear someone else who is a Jag fan! Your credibility went way up with me when you were discussing the audio system and gave a comparison to the S Class Burmester High End system. Not many are familiar with it. I had a 2014 S Class with that system and it was heaven on wheels to listen to, not much can compare to that system. I miss the system more than the car itself! I was a little disappointed to find that the Meridian Reference system was not available on the XJR, so I have the standard Meridian 825W system, which is still a nice system. I'm sure your B&W 1,200W system is awesome. Another disappointment was that massaging seats were also not available on the XJR. Not sure the story behind either of those. I sacrificed those perks to get the power of the "R", which is my true love with this car, but the beauty of the XJ is undeniable, and your point about it being relatively rare is also a huge plus. It is definitely a head turner. Thanks, and keep up the cool videos, I love comparing notes with someone who can relate, and hearing info I hadn't heard before (i.e. the "bridge" and the cat claw tail lights)! Thx DJ
Thank you for your comment I enjoyed reading it. I find it extremely surprising that the highest end model R spec does not allow you to get the top of the line equipment. Just because you want that extra power doesn’t mean you should have to sacrifice luxury. I’m glad I could educate you on something about our car :) keep an eye out for more videos soon!
@@XJLuxury Looking forward to them! I have the original 2016 XJ Sales Brochure, its a cool 96 page pdf with quite a bit of detail. Most content would be the same as 2011. I'm happy to send to you if you like, just let me know. Thx, DJ
I completely agree with you. I have a 2015 XJL and it really is the best car I ever owned. Mines is in dark blue with the ten interior. With the factory chrome rims it’s the portfolio model. It is amazing that how much attention it draws people really admire it when I’m driving I get so many thumbs up.And compliments. It still looks brand new. It only has 30,000 miles on it and I just love it.
Finally a man who appreciates a Jaaaaaaaag(8As for V8 engine). It's so refreshing to come across a Jag appreciation video in a place littered with Jag haters. Kudos!
@@kylemann4160Definitely. Spend time on the owner’s forums to see how to maintain inexpensively. The key is proactive maintenance and replacement of key parts so you don’t have major and expensive damage.
That’s a beautiful car, and it’s still an amazing work of art to look at today. That ageless timepiece looks better than over 80% of the newer cars on the road.
Just picked up a 2019 XJL V8 Supercharged “Collection” Edition. It is mint in Yulong White with Mineral/Ivory interior. They only made 300 final editions, and it’s pretty well loaded with all the options.
XJL is really a great car. I have the 2016 model, and it is still absolutely stunning and I love it so much. It is also a future classic worth collecting.
Ever since I saw M being chauffeured in an XJ at the beginning of Skyfall (007) I have been wanting one and I hope I can pull off this deal I’m gonna be working on to get in one.
What's the difference between an XJL supercharged and xj super sport ? State Farm tells me I have the " xj super" but I've always been told it was just an XJL supercharged
“Nearly everything Jaguar offers is standard on both; the only major options are different wheels; rear-seat entertainment; a heated windshield; and adaptive cruise control, a $2300 upgrade on the Supercharged that is included on the Supersport. The flagship also adds little bits of garnish throughout the interior, and as if the XJ’s leather-and-wood trappings weren’t enough, the Supersport goes whole cow and adds a leather headliner. Otherwise, it appears to be exactly like the lesser car.”
@@XJLuxury 🥰🥰🥰 such a pity that they stopped the production, I hoped for a 5.0 Supercharged hybrid 😅😂 (i live in Spain, so won't arrive, just 3.0d turbocharged)
Hi there, am trying to make a decision and I'd like your take on it as it will determine alot, being someone who owns the xj, would you advise me to buy the 2012 version V6 supercharged? I'd like your honest take.
I missed that part man you are right but I do love them. It’s a great feature and I should’ve showed off the fact that you can pull the tables back to reveal the penholder.
Bro I have a question I just got the same car last week how do u check the tire pressure, like you know how the newer vehicles have it to where it shows all.4 tires on the dash board with the psi tire pressure beside it? I can't find it on my jaguar for the life of me
Hey man you’re not going crazy unfortunately on these early model XJ’s you cannot check how much pressure is in each tire. The system will monitor and tell you which tire is low but it will not tell you how much psi is in each tire and it will not let you see that on the screen unfortunately. I believe in my video where I mention of things and I dislike about this car I mentioned that there was no reason for them not to have an option since the whole dashboard is a screen. I believe you were able to check that in the newer ones.
@@moneycntbuyskill4095 I was going to let u know , there is no way to see it individually . When it’s low the green light on the tire that will light up . Similar to if a door is ajar on the rpm gauge
Nice car / good vid. But why does it have a large panel gap on the bonnet “hood” where it meets the grille... Is the alignment out or has it been hit? Mine doesn’t have such a noticeable gap.
Thank you, yes this car was in an accident. I purchased it from the auction and fixed it up. The gap needs to be corrected by being bent back into place.
Litterally Such a Gorgeous Cat. The pearl white sets it off. Even at a 2011. The redesign of the XJL still looks as if its a 2023. Im glad ford finally got it right this time with there Jaguar's. Yes, I will agree The W222‘s interior is one of the best ever made but the w223 is the biggest joke interior I’ve seen in my life for an S class. It doesn’t come anywhere near the new 7 series and it completely destroyed my respect for the S class
