If nothing else, I love that Alice pushed you to play through your games. That right there means more to me than anything. Now you're getting to experience the full story instead of bite-sized pieces of a lot of games. I also played Spider-Man this year and I think it would be asked here for me but I haven't played Miles Morales and I'm not sure what I'll get around to it. I know it doesn't hit quite as hard. I'll likely play sea of stars at some point because that's the only way Scott's going to play the DLC co-op with us 😂 Girl, I'm down to do another game. Swap title for 2025. Put your thinking cap on and let's make a plan to play a game the other recommends ❤

For me Sea of Stars was my game of the year for 2024 - Sort of a cross between Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG combat with the combos. Well done on the games completed though got me beat lol.

Excellent price on that WiiU bundle. I remember Heavenly Sword was supposed to be that next "big thing" for the PS3 but then, yeah, sort of fizzled out. Aw, shame on missing out on the guides; I love collecting game guides. There was an interesting auction held live at RetroFest but with it mostly being resellers selling to other resellers, everything started off OUT of our price range.

I did 10-20 years ago and made a killing from it. I bought 4 Atari's with 300 games and a Sega Genesis with 220 games for $17 in 2002. I cleaned and refurbished them and sold 2 Atari's (repaired 3 with one donor) and all game doubles for both systems for $305 with a profit of $150 taking off the cleaning supplies and time put in.

I wish we had auctions around me. I think there are a few in the next state over but I’m curious to know if games and toys would pop up.

The laser lens on the GameCube is easy to replace and I use to do them quite a bit back when my brother and dad owned a game store, however trying to find the part is a bit harder now days. eBay might be your best bet for a reasonable price.

The Xbox elite going for that much isn't a steal but that's a pretty decent deal for $60. I'm a big sports game collector so if you do end up bundling let me know on here as I don't have Facebook as I may be interested

Definitely heard of them before and heard of people hunting for games at the auctions but more times then not with systems they are known to have issues . Like the ps2 , I’m sure it’s just a misaligned laser that can be fixed with the right temperament but I lack that . I can see auctions where guide lots would go higher then game and or system lots cause guides can be in better shape thru time. Interesting topic and definitely an interesting video, nicely done.

I wanted to get into Life Is Strange series but I didn’t know where to. I did watch the trailers and a review or two. Then I gave up trying 😞.

Donkey Konga has got to be one of the wildest games with a weird--and working(!) peripheral. Oh yeah, Zelda Four Swords is so, SO much fun with a group; definitely hope you gather a crew to go through it together. Solo is fine, but as a group is where it's at and $60 is a steal IMO. Ha ha, decision based games are great for us to play (me, Lady Laci and her sister) but it drives us all nuts not know what the "other" choice could lead to. That Firewall set looks like a good find all complete; seems like a unique piece and likely to be pretty fun. Laci loved the VR on PS4 when we first got it and put loads of time into it.

Minecraft Dungeons is so fun! The gameplay actually does get really hardcore, it's one if the toughest games I've played if you're going solo. Even two player can be rough. Lately I've been playing Skate 2 for an upcoming video, and Slitterhead! Slitterhead is gonna be underrated as heck.

I played through almost all of beyond two souls and really enjoyed it. It's got some surprising horror elements to it which kinda turned me off but it's a great game. I bought a buddy of mine here on UA-cam the donkey Konga controller and games a while back for him to review on his channel. Yea the Zelda game is meant for co-op, not sure how far you can make it playing solo but it's definitely a cool pick up

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Sam. Solid video idea. You are not the only feels that way about RE4. I didn’t care for the controls either. Maybe one day I will give it a go again but for now I am on your side with this one. The video game industry definitely has changed a lot and not for the better in most cases. While storys seem to be better overall and games are much more inclusive for people to play…it’s hard to feel like it hasn’t lost its soul.

I know lots of people and friends who love Resident Evil 4, however I am not one of them. Xcom is certainly one of those games that you either love or hate, moreover it seems to fall into the same category as Fallout1, 2 and the wasteland series with them being RTS games. I think you're onto something with games that just aren't good or games that may not be everyone's cup of tea. I don't think I ever played the original Detective Pikachu but I did buy the return of Detective Pikachu and it belongs in the same field of games as the professor layton series, which are fun puzzle games but if you go into them expecting anymore, they become dull.

How dare you bash RE 4!!! 😊 I’m thankful that they fixed the controls in games like RE 4 and Silent Hill 2 , and released them on modern consoles so they can be enjoyed.

Ha ha--I like the flipped idea here. Next year, I'm hoping for a video about games that are NOT yet ready to leave the kiddie table. lol Woooo--that RE4 one is gonna kick up some fires isn't it? (I've yet to play any iteration of it, so...) Ha ha--that "thank you for missing retro games" lol I think it's healthy and fun to talk about things we don't like because it's a great way to sift through what works for us. Knowing what isn't our cup of tea is an excellent start to figuring out what we DO like which ultimately streamlines great gaming experiences.

When I was 11, I lost my father. Zelda Ocarina of Time came out the same year and was my escape from grief. I didn't understand that was what was happening when I played it, but in retrospect, that's the reason that game will forever be my favorite. It allowed me to remove myself from what I was going through. Games have the ability to provide emotional support and allow us to lower stress. Music from games also have this effect. Stickerbrush symphony from Donkey Kong Country 2 is a frequent play when I'm anxious or overwhelmed with life. Sorry you are going through tough times, and I hope you get through it quickly. Solid topic.

Wow! This was an amazing video so deep and touching. I don't know what you're going through but you always know you can talk to me day or night! We've been having a rough time at the moment as well with the strike and the uncertainty of everything going forward with our employer and our finances, but playing games certainly helps take our mind off the heaviness. It's a nice escape and I love that you made a video all about it!

I think very few things have helped me during terrible times like games have. Losing friends, I went to Persona. Losing a relationship, I went to Catherine. Losing family, I went to Fire Emblem. Struggling with myself, I went to Skate. There are just so many examples. Everyone has an escapism thing they like, and mine will always be video games. I hope that by making videos and just sharing the things I like to real people in my life, that they feel they can escape in video games as well.
