I flew my drone at night to capture timelapse of a severe storm front rolling in, and when the storm got close there were sudden wind gusts of 40 - 50mph winds and I nearly lost my Mini 4 Pro during its RTH at 400ft. I was prepared to manually land the drone in a nearby parking lot and go drive to get it, but somehow I fought agains the winds by pushing the drone up and down at different angles until I got it back with just 10% battery to spare. Not to mention it started pouring down rain right where I got it back. This thing is a beast! But very close call for sure. I have a video of the storm on my channel.

I never turn controller off until flight is ended, although I activate return to home I like to take back control for the last few feet of the flight to ensure a safe landing especially if I have my landing mat on a rough terrain as often home point is slightly out

Thanks as always for this. I updated my RC2 Sunday and noticed my Air 3 wasn’t acting right. I just reupdated as you suggested and now it seems right as rain. So once again thank you Nobby

Hi Nobby, I did the update yesterday and sure enough it knocked back to 1.13.9 I then tried multiple times to reload 1.13.10 but it kept failing. I ended up sat with the drone and RC2 about 8 inches away from the WiFi router and it finally took it. Battery life is so much better now👍🏼

Hi Nobby, mini 4 pro blocked batteries plus JMI3 from other manufacturer :( Strange, but in the mini 3 and mini 3 pro the batteries plus JMI3 are not locked. There is no information that the weight of the drone may be higher and inconsistent with the regulations. I remember strange messages in Mini 4 pro and this last one! The latest update for m3, m3p and m4p drones, RC N1 and RC N2 and DJI Fly 1.13.10 is installed. Battery tests were conducted on a Samsung Tab9 tablet running Android.

when I google "Android file transfer mac" the proper link doesn't appear.

That was weird, that it reverted you to the older app version. Do you think that could have been on purpose? We talked about it last night on the live show and someone else in the chat reported that the same thing happened to them. Thanks for sharing.

Nobby here is something you may want to look into ...many other youtubers (and you know who they are) have multiple DJI drones, more than you own , looking after all those batteries for optimal performance ......DJI recommends keeping the batteries when dormant at a charge of 40 - 65 %...i wonder if they actually do this.

Not bizarre at all. Consider the first update as an OS update which has 13.9 embedded, they did not bother to update this entire OS firmware image with a new app version as the system is capable of updating the app separately. After the firmware update, mine shortly afterwards prompted me for the 13.10 update without me doing anything.

mines has updated but still has 1.13.9 and says its up to date!

Just did the update, and when it was done downloading, it didn't let me click the install-button. After a restart of the remote it did let me install. Mine also didn't downgrade to 1.13.9, mine was still on .10 after upgrading.

These updates are getting a bit much now, we want to be out filming not just having to do test flights.😁 I'm still impressed with the quality of the video. The colours and detail look absolutely great, don't they. Not too worried about the countdown and the voice don't match, it's probably a language thing. probably perfect in Chinese. After i update my extra batts. not working anymore , non DJI battery error. is it possble it could be fix next update??

I just watched a video of yours saying you had to send the drone back to DJI because of condensation, I'm guessing the silica gel and filter wasn't a solution or did the replacement DJI sent you still have a condensation issue.

still not as big of an issue as dji disabling the cloud sync stuff for my logs.

Tried this and still 13.9 even trying through profile settings, and says up to date.??

Thank you for doing this test. I actually contacted DJI support to ask if possible and was emphatically told no. I was literally going to try this exact test myself but saw your video first. Keep up the good work.

Hi Nobby , this is David near Llangollen North Wales , God bless you for making this look so easy , I must with one of these I am an absolute beginner with these ever so complicated looking small little drones. Where would ou try this out first , like in some big field somwhere ? I would shoot the pontcysylte aquaduct right close to me ,ha ha ! but I think first a safe plan! Thank you I am a new subsciber because I like you ,and the first clear video ive seen on waypoints for the dji 4 pro Blessings David 🙂

How easy do you find it flying from inside your car? It must be a struggle seeing the drone when it’s up high or far away especially with that hedge right next to where you’d parked. If you fly using just the controller screen then that’s technically FPV so you’d need a spotter 👍

HIi, the same happened to me too yesterday! Some days ago i updated the dji fly app to 1.13.10 and, yesterday, as soon as i updated to the latest RC2 firmware i notice that the fly app was 1.13.9 so i had to install again the latest djy fly app version.

I tried 2 times and after the second time it states there is an update but it has red dot left of the text and it says updte but it will not even start after the first time. It reverted back to 1.13.9 and left 1.13.10 so I gave up. There may be fix one day so I do not care. It is too hot to fly anyway. Too many updates but yet it flies just fine. They are confused I assume. Thanks Anyway, Ray in FL

Thank you for the video, to answer your question i made a flight last week with firmware 01.00.0800 on my mini 3 pro with a plus battery without issues.

I have tried for the longest time to configure my Rode wireless Go with my DJI Mini 3 Pro. You sir, are the first I have seen with clear evidence that it can and does work. I also own a set of Rode wireless Go II mic set as well. I bought Rode mics because at the time, they were compatible with the Mevo camera system I use at church to pair with my Android phone. Wireless mics are rather expensive, and a retired disabled individual like me can't throw money around for a DJI mic set. Anyhow I didn't have a SC7 (3.5mm TRS to TRRS) Patch Cable like you used, but I did have a Saramonic SR-C2001 (USB-C connector on one end, and a male 3.5mm TRS plug on the other end) This worked like a charm thanks to your help. You give me the confidence that Rode can and will pair with DJI. Once the weather cools off in my neck of the woods I plan to use my wireless go II mic set and set one mic up with a waterfall, and the other mic in my pocket.

I just updated. And after both updates I saw that my max altitude went from max 500m to max 65000+m. Yes 65km.

Yes. The update took about 20 minutes, and when I checked, it said I was back to 1.13.09, and when I updated back to 1.13.10, It only took a couple of seconds to update 😮😊

i updated it before you made your main point 😢 and indeed it dropped it back down tp 13.9 (it was 13.10) but now it will not show another update 🤬 so im now stuck on 13.9 🙄 and yes ive tried the profile and settings to update it as well but nothing 😡............😫

However Your report indicates that DJI development guys have to upgrade their standards as other drone updates can be expected to suffer from the same ilness. The weather forecast told about rain and the drones were left at home. Now the sun is shaining.... Cheers.
