@nobby-green Evening, just tried this several times and despite clicking install now on restarting the rc still shows v1.13.9(1055-dpad) can you confirm your rc went to v1.13.10 or simply suggested it was after selecting install now. I managed to get the rc to .1600 via assistant 2 before hand but no option to add fly via that route. Cheers!
@@ImJensenKing I had to reset my controller to factory reset to get it to update to 1.13.10👍 I tried 3 times before and it wouldn’t update. Since the restart and update the controller seems a lot faster and smoother👍
Looks like since releasing this video the RC firmware update is now not available. This has happened in the past and probably another firmware will be released by DJI. I do know some have already been successful in downloading 👍
That was going to be my next question, i updated my Mini 3 Pro today and the RC didn't update and was going to ask why. I will wait until it becomes available.
Forum updates by DJI bots state the mini3pro fw 0800 has been pulled. If they pulled 0800 there must be an issue & there is no update when replacement fw will be issued, now I have a drone on 0800 but an rc still at 1400. There has been no comment on why rc fw 1600 didn’t remain available…. Another chaotic release from DJI. Think @nobby-green needs to dig deeper as he has both fw installed.

@@TripleU-E really 🤔 it’s the biggest update for months. Aircraft and RC firmware updates. Most have been stuck on 1.13.4 for ages and some even from 1.13.1. Now the latest fly app 1.13.9. Over a gig in size. If you consider that click bait then good luck. 😁
I'm just learning about the DJI mini 3 as I just got it a week ago. Could you answer me a question please? There is a slot for the the micro SD card in the drone and also in the controller. I can see videos I have taken while the drone is on but with it shut off theres no videos on the controller. What is the purpose of having two SD cards? Thanks. Great video by the way.

@@kerrylittle3900 yes there is. If you swipe down twice it will reveal a black menu screen. On there you will see a button to screen record. They should be saved on the sd card. There are quite a few mini 3 pro videos on my channel 👍

Some have problems with over heating, but ive not had any to be honest. I think it depends on internet speeds and how quick it updates. Ive heard of some that put fans on to keep it cool.
Not sure if it's a UK thing but the most recent update to my DJI mini 3 pro gives my ActiveShots / Spotlight / and POI under the tracking modes and under ActiveShots specifically gives me a manual and parallel modes
@@nobby-green Ok. Thanks. I also noticed that I cannot turn on subject tracking pre flight as I could before. The option is greyed out. It appears that you can only activate subject scanning once you're in active flight. Not really a fan of this considering I prefer to change/edit all my setting prior to take off, unless I'm maybe updating my home point.
@@sarge502jeep subject tracking as always been like that. You have to be in flight to enable it. Once it’s enabled it will stay like it when you take off again 👍

Hi Nobby, I'm in Australia and have been trying to update from v1.13.1 to the latest Fly App 1.13.9 version on the DJI RC , but without success. Attempted various methods but still get pop up saying Fly App is up to date.🤔 Any ideas?? Kaz, Sydney
One of my drones is a 2018 Fimi X8. Only downwards sensor and it have waypoints. Even with no comms between controller and drone, it still continues to each waypoint.
I just updated my M3P and RC. But mine is different you yours. App version 1.13.1 (yours shows 1.13.9) aircraft firmware is the same 01.00.800, RC firmware 01.03.1400 (yours shows 01.03.1600), but my flysafe data is 01.00.01.34 (yours shows 01.00.01.33)
Wish I hadn't updated!! I've been here before. Updated the a/c firmware yesterday and today discovered something interesting but more annoying. I have a Battery Plus (3850mAH or 3.850AH Capacity) that I sometimes use when I am flying in the A2 SubCat. Now when I insert the battery, I can power up but unable to start the motors. Warning sign pops up ' Not DJI Battery' This didn't occur previously and indeed have flown with it many times. I purchased the Battery Plus quite some time ago from the US. I've just looked and confirmed there is no DJI Manufacturer reference, although the 'Made in China' stamp is present. Oh well, I guess DJI don't always reveal all the details in their firmware updates and I'm not surprised.
@nobby-green The A/C, RC and Fly App have latest versions. Tapping on the Non DJI Battery banner on the screen provides you with: "Non DJI Battery detected. Unable to fly. Code: 1610004F". This is the DJI code for non DJI Battery. I guess if my battery was a genuine DJI battery, it would be okay. I think DJI got wind of people using non DJI Battery projects and closed this down.
Hey Nobby, just another thing. I believe that there are many hoops to jump through regarding the 4G dongle for the Air 3 etc... Ofcom regulations... But I'm sure you are aware by now.

I just did an update, Sunday morning 21st of July at 11.00 CET, and my App version is now at 1.13.1, your's is at 1.13.9 - Aircraft Firmware is at 01.00.0800, same as yours, and my RC Firmware is at 01.03.1400, yours is at 01.03.1600. When I check for updates it says it's updated. Why am I not getting the latest APP version and RC Firmware? What do I do wrong anyone? Please help
@@OrjanB I don’t think you are doing anything wrong. Sometimes these updates get stuck. I had to reset my controller yesterday to get the 1.13.10 to update. 👍
@@nobby-green Thank you for replying so quickly 👍 I just did a factory reset on the controller, connected it to wifi again and logged into my Dji account. Then I checked for firmware updates both before and after powering up the mini 3 pro drone. Same result now, still at 1.13.1 and 01.03.1400. This is frustrating. Was it a factory reset on your controller you had to do?
@@OrjanB I had to do a factory reset to bring forward the 1.13.10 but not the original updates. Very odd 🤷♂️ unless their servers are struggling with this global internet issue?
@@nobby-green Now this is getting weirder. I just swapped the battery to a fresh one and then it found a firmware update. Happily I installed it and when I checked the versions again they had not changed at all. I rebooted everything and checked again, but was again told all firmwares are up to date. I just checked for updates here in Ireland, sadly just the aircraft updated to version 01.00.0800, RC firmware still on 01.03.1400 and fly app 1.13.1 lol What more can one do :)

Not that I need to justify to anyone around the thumbnail and title, the term Huge was used because this is the largest update for the mini 3 in months which at the time of recording brought an aircraft and Rc firmware along with the latest fly app. Just because it didn’t bring any new features doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. It potentially fixes issues that some have been having since the last update. Thanks for watching and it is your choice to sub or not 👍
@@composedlight6850 brings the aircraft, controller up to the latest firmwares and the latest fly app which have been out of date for months. It’s not always about new features.
Hello Nobby Green, They really keep after the older mini 3 pro for sure. I am having a nerve issue in my right side with that large painful nerve so I retired to rest good. Not sure If I ever return. Some psychiat nerve event. I got xrays and get to the va clinic tomorrow to see what happened. I see many people get that sometimes. It is my turn, LOL, pain is awful in morning time. So I have not flown except quick tests like you. Heat, storms and rain are as bad as you there too. When you look at the weather taking off is that looking west to the atlantic? I have only done little area flights to keep things running as I have a lot of drones. I am a pro drone baby sitter now, LOL. One new battery for the mavic 3 NEW will not activate or even charge so down to 2 now. I asked for a return and am waiting. I again just did the mavic 3 pro tonight so it is okay. Thanks for the update video as I like to see you doing it and again well done. All is well here except way too hot to fly at all. I put the pad out, start controller, put drone on, put it on pad, t/o immediately. They never overheat if you fly so all is well. With you good fortune mister. Ray C in Florida

The purpose of the SD card in the controller is to be able to record the screen recordings, and to download offline maps. Hope this helps.

After i update my extra batts. not working anymore , non DJI battery error. is it possble it could be fix next update??

I quit doing updates on any of my drones that are flying good. DJI never dies tell you what they are really updating anyway.

I feel the term huge firmware update is I little exaggerated und clickbaity *not subbed for that reason* otherwise keep up the good work

Not that I need to justify to anyone around the thumbnail and title, the term Huge was used because this is the largest update for the mini 3 in months which at the time of recording brought an aircraft and Rc firmware along with the latest fly app. Just because it didn’t bring any new features doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. It potentially fixes issues that some have been having since the last update. Thanks for watching and it is your choice to sub or not 👍

@@composedlight6850 brings the aircraft, controller up to the latest firmwares and the latest fly app which have been out of date for months. It’s not always about new features.

They really keep after the older mini 3 pro for sure.
I am having a nerve issue in my right side with that large painful nerve so I retired to rest good. Not sure If I ever return. Some psychiat nerve event.
I got xrays and get to the va clinic tomorrow to see what happened.
I see many people get that sometimes. It is my turn, LOL, pain is awful in morning time.
So I have not flown except quick tests like you.
Heat, storms and rain are as bad as you there too.
When you look at the weather taking off is that looking west to the atlantic?
I have only done little area flights to keep things running as I have a lot of drones.
I am a pro drone baby sitter now, LOL.
One new battery for the mavic 3 NEW will not activate or even charge so down to 2 now.
I asked for a return and am waiting.
I again just did the mavic 3 pro tonight so it is okay.

All is well here except way too hot to fly at all.
I put the pad out, start controller, put drone on, put it on pad, t/o immediately.
They never overheat if you fly so all is well.
