That was cool man! The voice isolation is a really nice feature. Our software (Wondershare Filmora) doesn’t have that. Boooo!!!!! Kristi said she felt bad for you having to hold the drone to gain satellites. Hahahaha.
Hey Kevin. You can use third party software for the voice isolation. There is some free versions out there. I’m glad Kristi was sympathetic to my need of a truck 🛻 haha 😛 keep safe both of you 👍
Even better option not getting the annoying telemetry in footage is to rtmp live stream. Then picking up sounds from phone microphone added towards youtube live stream recording. From there u're able to download and edit the content.
I dont understand why a noise cancelling mic isnt built in, wonder if mini 5 pro will have it. Edit: ahhhh this wasn't what I thought it was, I thought it was going to be audio recording from the drone itself.
Hey bob welcome to the channel. Yes the mini 4 pro does have precision landing. After take off raise to 7m and hover for a few seconds. The drone will try to map the terrain and look for it when landing 👍
Great , informative clip Nobby, first one I have seen from your channel and convinced me to subscribe, to help with the recently purchased Mini3 Pro. Question, the x2 black pieces coming out of the RC? maybe covered in one of your other videos, just curious to them.
Informative once again. I just enjoy watching my own flights back on the big 4K telly at home with just music added in editing (not fussed about subscribers or any intention of monetisation) , it is nice to have subscribers that enjoy my flights though, I ain't as professional as you.... And I struggle to make a good curry 😂... Any chance of some Air 3 vids Nobby, SLAINTE 🍻
@@nobby-green I've had my air 3 two days now... Occusync 4 is incredibly good.. Just done a few getting the feel of it flights and playing with camera settings. I replied on your Facebook just now... Hurry with the curry😋
Yes, no audio is a major problem for drones. The propeller noise is the main cause of this. The only way i can think to get audio from the drones actual location, would be to suspend a microphone from the drone to the mic using a string. The practically of this is quite sizeable. You would want the mike close to the ground, but it would have to vary with the drone altitude. This would require so type of reel to change it's height. That would be a major undertaking for DJI. Another possibility is a telescoping microphone they use in football games. But that requires a big audio dish, which is again impractical for a drone. So i guess how to actually to this is the million dollar question. If i record a tennis match with my drone, it's easy to capture the audio from your phones screen recording. But good video.
Still unclear on how you created the sound file from the DJI Mic? I have seen tutorials using the screen record method and I can't segregate the audio to sync it with the video from the drone. I'm only using DJI Lightcut or Cap Cut for my editing program. Thanks.
The DJI mic records a standalone wav file to its internal memory. You then extract it by plugging into your computer. It should see it as a drive. Hope that helps 👍
Why use an external recorder when you can plug a mic (e.g DJI mic receiver) into the RC and record the screen which includes the drone video and the mic audio? This makes syncing the low res RC recording to the 4K drone video easy.
Yes you can do it that way as I’ve shown in my videos previously. This way you only have two steps to worry about in adding audio to the 4K footage. Thanks 🙏
@@nobby-green Adding another device (external recorder) complicates the process but that’s just my opinion. I think using the RC with the mic plugged into it simplifies audio capture and adds another sync option - the RC screen capture means you can use the video AND audio to do this. I’ve done this with my GoPros plugged into the intercom in the Cessna 172 for a long time. Anyway, I appreciate your channel and expertise. Well done.
I’ve subscribed I’ve got the mini pro 3 use it for metal detecting videos not yet put any up as learning I’ll be in touch for help if ok regards shaune in Kent 👍
Call me stupid but........sorry I dont understand how recording sound to your mobile phone gets transferred to the micro SD card in your drone. Do i need to connect the phone to the drone with software or amI just incredibly thick?
@nobby-green That now makes sense. Even to my own fevered psyche. I suppose you can sync any audio using an editing suite. Record at the time of flight or narrate over the flight after the event? Edited to add: my major issue with this is that I hate the sound of my own voice 😊
When drones first came out, the first thing we did was remove prop noise for the GoPro captured videos. Why do you want prop wash noise? I don’t understand. It’s as if we gone full circle. LOL!!!
Confused still sorry, so where was audio recorded on? You didn’t show any other device, also didn’t show taking audio file from wherever to put on pc to sync with footage, was footage no sound then? and audios was recorded on a phone? Can you give more details of what you actually did, sorry to be a little daft 😅
Looks to me like you didn’t watch the video properly. I clearly stated a few times how the audio was recorded on the DJI mic. In post you retrieve it from the mic and add to footage as shown in the video. 👍
@@PhilHaddonin the description he mentions using a separate recording device. Seems pretty clear to me and I’m definitely not a rocket scientist. Hahaha. If you recorded audio to the physical drone all you’d hear is a bunch of noise that sounds like a swarm of bees. Lol.

Would be pretty impossible to record actual drone footage audio. You would just be recording the prop noise. 👍

Not with noise cancelling set to tune out the frequency of blade noise and a muffler for the wind noise.
