Hey, when I click update. There’s no status bar to show how much it has been downloaded. I am confused how much time will it take to download or is it even downloading?

Thanks for the vid Nobby - I update my controllers/drones more than I fly them these days but I always think it best to at least have the newest update installed as despite the vague spiel from DJI they must have reasons for it?
@@alsstuff indeed they do. Behind the scenes folks have issues that not everyone has hence fixing issues and app quality. From time to time we go through a spate of updates. It’s always been the same👍

@@DJISupportGlobal no problem updating the fly app. Speaking for the community I think when an app update is available they often expect new features. The problem is that the latest version of the fly app is not available on the App Store so users of the RCN2 can’t get it 👍

@@nobby-green Extra tracking and restrictions. Backdoor to US Data servers in compliance with new legislation. I'm in rural Mexico. Now tells me I'm in a restricted zone and to fly with caution.

Hi Nobby~ Whats new about the update of the 1.13.10? and what functions equipped with the RC2 has improved or problem solved? I don't understand your presentation~ The DJI Fly app released the updates rapidly recently, but I don't got what happened to it~ sorry for I'm a Chinese guy, maybe my English listening ability not so good at all~ thx for help!
@@johnnyyu68927 DJI very rarely tell you why they update the fly app hence nothing in the release notes. But what we don’t see is others having problems with their equipment and these updates can fix their issues. Hope that helps
@@nobby-green Hi Nobby~ Thx for reply~ As your presentation and other youtuber's did, they just fly the drone (majority is Mini 4P) hundred meters away, and then pressed the RTH button which to call the drone flying back to the homepoint, I just don't know why you or other youtubers do the same thing in presentation for? to testing the signal strength? And someone said the previous version 1.13.9 limited the drone using third party's batteries, so the patched version 1.13.10 comes out to filled the bug, these things makes me a lot of confused about the DJI Fly App updates released rapidly, thx for help~
@@johnnyyu68927 the main reason for hitting the RTH is to actually test the functionality of it. It’s something I very rarely use when out flying 👍
Hello Nobby, agreed 1.13.10 nothing exciting...Q: can a way point mission be created that has parameters without latitude and longitude for say launch then rise to 20 ft/ 7m for precision landing, saved then be retrieved and executed from a different location...a template in other words ??? Safe flying
@@rickkenyon8486 I don’t think so no. It registers the gps location when recording the waypoints. Be a nice idea tho 👍

Thank you! I actually get a "Not enough free space available" error message, when I want to download the update. No photos, no video on the internal card, the external is 120GB, but obviously not used for system updates - for whatever reason. Now I need to delete caches, which is not good. I wonder what will happen...
@@RobertWildling sometimes you have to do that if the internal storage is full 👍
@@nobby-green I guess so... But deleting the cache is actually against DJI's advise, so they work against their principles. They should reduce the size of the download package, which gets bigger and bigger with every update! Or they should implement a way to use the external card for the download process. But I have a feeling that this is going to be a bigger problem in the near future... But I am sure once it will be one, you will provide a video on that topic. And maybe even a solution! :-)
@@RobertWildling no issue in deleting cache in my eyes. It’s only back up files. They do take up space. Have DJI told you not to?
@@nobby-green No, but a text saying so pops up, when you try to delete caches. Can't remember the wording, but it is something along "These files help DJI to support you..."

Update 1.13.10 will allow you to unlock batteries from other manufacturers. Does anyone have a battery from a different manufacturer? Please specify what manufacturer the positive batteries are not blocked. The JMI3 model battery is still blocked :(

When I power on my RC 2 I have no updates pending, 1.13.9 is still showing as the latest update?
@@geoffreywareing8858 make sure you’re connected to WiFi and you check under profile settings and about as I showed in the video 👍

Just Tried again, this time with my air 3 on ... worked fine. I didn't think I needed the aircraft on for a FLY APP update ... WRONG😂
I my case helped clear cache option under settings in rc2 controller. After clear cache message with update was shown

@@huseyingunsuz8279 I had a similar issue with my mini 3 pro and the problem was a hairline micro crack on the opposite face of the gimbal's arm causing a loop with the gimbal stabilization. I solved it myself with super glue. It's just one of the possible causes, of course. Good luck.
