Adriel, whilst the items of clothing you have, are high quality, they are more suited to women decades older than you. These top brands, are subliminally geared towards senior white women.High street chains with good quality clothing, would suit you better, as they are modern. Also, you could do with more accessorising when you wear outfits. A certain flair and abandonement is needed in your styling. You are fun, witty, kind and I hugely enjoy your channel, no matter the subject. Best Wishes.

My French husband is one of the few "glass half full" Frenchies I've ever met in my life, lol. He's extremely sociable, usually has a positive attitude, doesn't complain that much, I mean there are bouts of when he is tired and depressed because work isn't going the way he'd like and it's not interesting, but otherwise he's a happy-go-lucky guy, me, the Californian, is usually the grumpy pessimist, lol.

Another great & informative video! As someone who’s been through the highs & lows of footwear for most of my life I am always thrilled to hear new recommendations. Of the brands mentioned my personal faves for style & comfort are Birkenstock & Mephisto. Both brands are pretty iconic in women’s footwear. I actually bought my first pair of Birkenstocks just last year; their Arizona Big Buckle in black patent. I was seeing them everywhere and saw another influencer style them and decided I had to have them. Since then I’ve added several additional pairs from the brand. I’ve been a Mephisto brand customer for several years. However, as for sandals my favorite styles are their wedge heel platforms only.

Nice and informative video! My sandals of choice ? Rondini . Every summer I treat myself when we’re in St. Tropez. I just purchased my 13th pair two weeks ago. Custom made all Leather and as the sandals age, they mold them your feet and are incredibly comfortable. I’ve walked all Over the South of France, New York City, and wherever life leads me in them. Because my natural instep is ridiculously high, wedged shoes don’t work for me. However, in winter my Repetto ballet flats are a go-to!

Thanks for the tips. The Birks never go wrong. I've been wearing them since my university days in the mid-1970s. I had/have them in different styles and colors. I have the Arizona, but also have the Tokio in two colors as I like the back strap if I'm walking a lot. Another one of my go-to pairs of sandals are my Dries Van Noten padded leather sandals. They're the ones with two chunky horizontal stitched velcro straps across the feet and zigzag type soles. They're slide style sandals. I ordered mine around 4 years ago from 24S (Paris) when they went on sale. I could probably walk to the moon and back in them. LOL! I just saw a new pair on e-Bay for sale, but unfortunately not in my size. Mine are in black with yellow. Another really great shoe company is Finncomfort. I've been wearing various styles for more than 15 years. Love them. There are a lot of styles, but one has to really go through the styles as there are some old-looking styles mixed in, but those are probably for people who like walking in mountains/forests, etc. Hardcore shoes. The sandals that I have are more modern. I have the Gomera ones in red and a couple of other styles and colors, one being in a metallic bronze color bought some years ago. And for Finncomfort, their sneakers are the best; the Soho S style in nubuk with the white leather toes like the ones on their website in the almond/bianco color. I have that color and others in various colors, all in nubuk. I've traveled six continents wearing them and the footbeds can be replaced. I probably have 10 pairs of them, bought over a 15-plus-year period. But, when I first started buying them, the were less than $200. Now, they've really gone up in price on the U.S. market although they go on sale on various websites. Greetings from Los Angeles

I recently bought my first Birkenstock Mayari sandals. I do find them to be comfortable, and this design is a little more fashionable, in my opinion. They are much stiffer than the Vionic sandals I typically wear, but I'm getting used to them. I have to have arch support.

That business about lining drives me insane!! It's very common in the U.S. to see cotton dresses with a polyester lining, which just completely defeats the purpose of the natural fiber! You're right that it's probably because the cotton is cheap and too thin, but adding a polyester lining means the dress no longer breathes and becomes far less comfortable. I've also seen SILK dresses lined with polyester costing hundreds of dollars which is just mind blowing. If only everyone knew how badly they're getting scammed! 😭

I spent nearly 15 years in corporate finance, and it was soul sucking. I love the intellectual aspect of a majority of the work I did and met some amazing people. Unfortunately, the culture is broken, and I found myself existing and not thriving. As a woman of color, there are experiences that don't make sense and are clearly biased. It is Unfortunately the case for so many people. I stepped out on faith in 2019 and quit, relocated from NY to rural southeast on a 10-acre farm. I am still figuring it out, but my mental health and family are better for it. Thank you for sharing.
