we all need Rose in our lives 🙂...lille is a very nice city yes....
We all need Rose!!
Beautiful video
👏
Loved this video! I hope this video goes far and wide because I’ve never heard such a “on the streets” information for tourists. It was such a pleasure listening to you both. Would enjoy more of this.❤
So glad you enjoyed & that you found the information helpful.
This was great, Adriel! Rose was a wonderful guest and apparently an excellent concierge as well. I don’t plan to join the big event, but if I were to attend I’d definitely get in touch with your friend Rose to assist with my itinerary.😊
Rose is the best. She also does stand up comedy. She’s so funny.
@@adrielfelise That’s awesome! I was actually thinking during the video she seemed to have a good vibe & energy.☺️
This was very helpful! I will be going to Paris just after the Olympics (arriving on 8/13) so I am staying for about 1 week. Our plan is to walk around as much as the heat will allow and really try to take in Paris in bits. I hope that we can find some fun but still peaceful moments during our visit.
Oh have a great trip. I’m sure you will find some fun. It will just likely be hot. So keep the water bottles handy.
I won't be there for the Olympics, but I learned so much about places to go when I do come again. Great info! I am so glad I found Adriel, I have subscribed to her channel. I am going to be going to school there soon and have purged my wardrobe due to your helpful videos, Adriel😊. Does Rose have a service that helps new expats coming to live find places to live ?
Keep the great videos coming, Adriel👏🏾
I’ll ask her, she would be great at that
This was an AWESOME and Timely video concept. All the insider tips matter a lot to a lost tourist. Thanks Adriel for this info and your guest who can offer planning & booking assistance. 💖💖💖
The problem is all the info just isn’t in one central place so thought it would be a helpful video for anyone coming.
I was there last month and yes, google maps had us going in circles. We took Bolt when necessary. The price was very reasonable. We just downloaded the app and was able to pay through the app.
Google maps is a nightmare especially if you end up in Odeon; geez, you will find yourself walking 10 minutes in the wrong direction. I’ve actually never used bolt because nearly every time I take a taxi, I’m later than I would’ve been if I walked.
Excellent information on the upcoming Olympics!
Glad you enjoyed.
A very informative vlog as it covers a lot of ground designed to make life easier for visitors during an exceptional period when it seems that the number of tourists is not yet visible in terms of accommodation bookings, incoming flights (?), etc. from what I understand from other French channels
Little corrections: Jardin d'Acclimatation ( not 'de Acclimatation') and Soupe à l'oignon (not 'de l'oignon').
This was an awesome video. Many thanks to you and Rose.
You’re welcome.
Great info. Not just for the Olympics but in general. Thank you both!
Je vous en prie!!
Won't be there but thanks for the info. Very informative, good tips. Merci 😆
There is NOT free seating on the upper level of the Seine for opening ceremonies. Please share your source. That was promised originally, t
But plans changed in February or March.
Good info, thanks. im staying at an Airport hotel and going to Versailles, can I still use the RER?
Yes you should, depending upon the airport
I've also heard that Airbnb has been proving to be very unreliable with cancellations right before people arrive in Paris. Not sure how Vrbo is doing but a last minute cancellation will definitely be more of a problem this year.
Yes, there are a lot of news reports starting to trickle out on Airbnb. At this point, it's almost hard to keep up with the information. A couple weeks ago they were saying that hotels had very low occupation rates because they marked up the price so high that people decided to choose other options. I wonder if the Airbnb cancellations have to do with that; the city of paris cracking down on Airbnbs to increase hotel occupation rates. In the past, I've found VRBO to be much more reliable than Airbnb due to the fact they actually vet the hosts. Our Airbnb in Barcelona cancelled the day before too.
What you need to know is everything is going to be even more expensive than it already is, I still can't believe they are making those athletes swim in that nasty Seine water. I have a feeling Musée d'Orsay will be unbearable. It's already unbearable on an average day. Careful it's: Il n'y a pas de quoi. Thank goodness we will be away during this hot mess! Will be avoiding Paris all June through August.😅McDonald's not considered fast food?! In province it is considered fast food. Great video!!
I don’t think the Seine will be clean enough. Every time it rains, the sewage runoff pollutes it again so they just can’t keep it clean.
I have a navigo easy pass I bought July 2023. I had 2 unused tickets in it. Using my iPhone I loaded it a few days ago with additional 10 tickets. I know they will raise the price during Olympics, but can I still use my navigo easy for tickets I purchased prior to the price increase?
Yes. It will still work; they are encouraging people to buy the tickets in advance so they aren’t hit by the price increase. They also made it so you can put your navigo easy in your Apple wallet so you can store it all on your phone.
@@adrielfelise Thank you for the information. I am staying in the Marais near Bastille. I hope I don’t need a pass or QR code.
Well, now they're saying we don't need QR codes but, frankly, I don't think they know. We're all just going to figure this out together.
@@adrielfelise I heard they are limiting number of people to watch near the Seine during the opening ceremonies to 300K due to security concern. About 200K for locals by invitation only and 100K for paying foreigners. If that is the case, will there be parks or venues with big TV screens where those without tickets can watch and enjoy the celebration?
Does Rose have contact information? I am planning to be in Paris for my birthday.
Yes. It’s linked in the description.
I read you need to have either opening ceremony tickets or a "pass jeux" to enter anywhere along the river though? And the pass isn't for everyone.
The information is changing on a near daily basis at this point. They said that the pass was only needed the week before the games but not during the games but then yesterday I was watching the news and there’s total chaos near the river. So I think just I’ll walk down and find out later today.
@@adrielfelisethat would be great if you could update us. I know that the days leading up and during opening ceremony is when that pass will be required. And the qualifications for that pass is if you live there or have business to be there. I think it’s their way to control security but also be able to sell those expensive opening ceremony tickets…
So I walked down and you can cross but just at certain places. To actual enter behind the barriers, you need a pass.
But again they said that the pass is only needed the week before, which makes no sense.
People are going crazy with the pickpockets. If you live in places like New York City it's the same. It's nothing new.
