I recently bought my first Birkenstock Mayari sandals. I do find them to be comfortable, and this design is a little more fashionable, in my opinion. They are much stiffer than the Vionic sandals I typically wear, but I'm getting used to them. I have to have arch support.
Nice and informative video! My sandals of choice ? Rondini . Every summer I treat myself when we’re in St. Tropez. I just purchased my 13th pair two weeks ago. Custom made all Leather and as the sandals age, they mold them your feet and are incredibly comfortable. I’ve walked all Over the South of France, New York City, and wherever life leads me in them. Because my natural instep is ridiculously high, wedged shoes don’t work for me. However, in winter my Repetto ballet flats are a go-to!
Ohh. Rondini - I don’t think I’ve heard of that but maybe I have. I’ll be back in the south later this summer so I’ll make sure to pick up a pair. I love shoes that mold to my feet!!
Hi Adriel! I have about 8 pair of Birkinstalks love them👍👍and 8 pair of Nike Air Max. Best shoes ever! Thx for the bunion mention👍yes have them after wearing heels for years when yr age. I also wear Nordstrom loafers in winter👍
Nordstrom has great loafers. I don’t think I’ve tried the Nike air max so I’ll go look at those. I’ve never liked an uncomfortable shoe even though I love high heels. I have a few “Kennedy center” shoes still but I maybe wear them once a year. You know, shoes that you wear in the taxi to the Kennedy center, walk to your seat, sit down and then walk back to the taxi and take them off the moment you get home. 😉
Another great & informative video! As someone who’s been through the highs & lows of footwear for most of my life I am always thrilled to hear new recommendations. Of the brands mentioned my personal faves for style & comfort are Birkenstock & Mephisto. Both brands are pretty iconic in women’s footwear. I actually bought my first pair of Birkenstocks just last year; their Arizona Big Buckle in black patent. I was seeing them everywhere and saw another influencer style them and decided I had to have them. Since then I’ve added several additional pairs from the brand. I’ve been a Mephisto brand customer for several years. However, as for sandals my favorite styles are their wedge heel platforms only.
I didn’t even learn of mephisto until I moved to France, but so glad that I did. Their wedges are super comfortable. And then I grabbed the Birkenstocks because everyone was wearing them when I arrived and I thought there must be a reason!
Yay! I was thinking about you when I decided to do this video. I wanted to share some suggestions that would be good for walking on while your foot healed.
@@adrielfelise ah thanks so MUCH, very sweet of you to remember...The main problem is some swelling (which is normal) & I was in Spain walking around a lot in the heat. Now that I am back in the "no summer of 2024" in Ireland 🇮🇪 the foot is a lot better. But I still like the footwear ideas for future reference as well as I am noticing fashion is adapting to the flatter heels look overall. I love shoes!

Arch support is key for me. Plus I need a lot of space due to the dreaded foot swelling I deal with in the summer.

Shoes are rather expensive but more important they are not very attractive.
Which brand of shoes are expensive and not attractive? Both Birks and Charleston Shoe Company are less than or right at $100.
Super expensive and not practical at all!
