So thats why in 2019 the novel quality have became mid, that every goverment counterpart on every novel became the good guy, while everyone that hated them is a terrorist, the last straw that broke the camel was reading a chinnese novel that I've already forgot and it also got banned and deleted on my app, but the quality was good no Face slapping, oe other chinnese strope , MC was lowkey strong not a comedic way, and MC only have 1 fiance the ending was kinda garbage because at the climax of the conflict there is no information on who or what is the biggest enemy that the sect that he belong to is facing plus all the other sect including his have to battle it out to face the greatest threat because blah.. blah... Reason .... Blah .....blah.... Only one sect must be standing at the end......then blah .....blah.... Timeskip face the greatest threat..... Blah.... Blah reason... MC face the greatest foe blah blah.....time skip for 1000years...... Mc cameback super strong then end...... Tf was that ending i thought. Then after that i really thought that that was the end but no thers more, after that it became a comedic novel no heavy atmosphere, a serene kind of writing but a comedic face slapping, suprise pikachu face its like reading a diffferent kind of novel but same character with different mindset, including the most intelegent FMC.

I don't even understand why he's so popular, I've read Soul Land just until the infinite stairs before dropping it and I can honestly say that it has one of my most hated characters in all of fiction in it (that selfish fat ginger kid) but Zhang Wei seems to absolutely love that character since all the narcissistic things that he does have zero negative consequences for him and in fact get only rewarded. World building was also all over the place with apparently super important new stuff just being randomly thrown in out of the blue and then being treated as if it was always there. From what I've read the dude is mid at best and him having such a huge ego is laughable.

RI and Lotm has to be peak chinese fiction if not just fiction as a whole, they both are just such good stpries with characters that actually make sence for what they are supposed to be, as well as lotm doesnt allow the generic : « oh i found op artefact, im now op » it puts setbacks for advantages, a equal and perfect power system that has infinite possibilities, while RI dwelves in the laws of the world and our own morals, i have read both books and even started lotm 2 not too long ago, and i fell in love with both stories

Spoilersss I usually hate open endings but I loved this open ending purely because it addresses one of the main themes of how characters are restricted to what the words of the story makes them do, so the fact that it's open ended allows the characters of orv to truly be free from the boundary of words like how 1863 Yjh was no longer a character at the end of one of the arcs. Plus in a sense it establishes that us the readers are like the Oldest Dream,and HSY's goal for Dokja fragments to read this story and imagine a good ending of Dokja reviving, but if it was written in words something like "Dokja opened his eyes" it kind of limits to what the author imagined/wrote not the readers.

Guidelines turned into censor that protects china's image causing the country to massively ban any media that china didn't seem fit (gore, sexual orientation, political views, anything goes…)

Do you know what I think whenever I see one of these videos about who is more evil or how evil is this or that character? that no matter how many bad things they have done or actions with or without justification they give as an example, there will always be something more grotesque and terrifying that has happened in real life

I like the character and world building chapters even more than the action... In fact the action scenes wouldn't have much impact if we hadn't got to spend time with the characters just interacting and building the world. It's the special connections between them that gives the story it's Heart.

This is one of the reasons why i dont read on webnovel anymore-- too much censorship. Not only on novel contents that does not align with the chinese government propaganda or simply have different views on the matter, but also comments and reviews are being strickly monitored and censored too much even though those comments are true. Those comments/review paint a bit of a negative picture of the novel, yes, but that doesnt warrant censorship or being banned, which is worse. There are pros and cons in every novel, yet they only want to see the pros while erasing the cons. It is like banning a scout for saying Shaq is bad at free throws in his scouting report. How can we judge if we would eventually like a novel when everything we see in the reviews are all pros? If that is how things are done, then there is no way we can know how good the novel actually is without reading it. This things not only help the readers decide whether they should read the novel or not, but they also give the authors insights on how the readers see their novels and what their strenghts and weaknesses are.

I love the novel so much! I hope this doesn't disappoint.
