Hi, just wondering why the other videos are not available in the playlist? Thank you :)
Hello, I didn’t understand how you divided drawing substitution into two line arts. ears did not have this in previous lessons.
Every time I find myself struggling with a rig I always come back to these vids and somehow you ALWAYS have the answers, thank you so much
Transform tool Stopped selecting layers and selects only the reference. I've been drawing for so long, and it's just that the tool itself decided to change. Please help!😢
Prob the reference layer is unlocked on the timeline
@@juhastv I forgot to block the drawing layer on the timeline, thank you!
Caso eu compre esse rig, eu posso usa-lo em projetos pessoais e para empresa também?
Thank you so much!! I'm making my second proper rig and your tutorials have helped so much!!
pless dont stop!!
Hi Juhas! Your videos are the best, I am eternally grateful for them. I understand the use of "colour override" for the mouth, in which the tongue can be behind or in front of the teeth. Why do you use "colour override" for the sole of the foot? Wouldn't it be the same to separate it using the "overlay" node?
More tutorials or courses thanks.
I'm assuming this works the same way for lineless artstyle? just ignore the lineart node?
It kind of does. The main difference is the way patches are built at joints when no lineart is present (if you remove lineart, patches will create thin cuts around shapes - visible in the render view).
i know this is harmony 17 but i've been struggiling on how to change the icon for the envelopecreate script because it's in the plugin resources folder instead of resources script folder. so basically it' doesn't show in my scripts manager (i'm on harmony 22)
Hmm, if the icon is named precisely like the function of the script minus the (), and is placed in the script-icons folder it should work. I named my icon EnvelopeCreator_showUI.png (case sensitive).
@@juhastv Okay thankyou! It worked, thanks for the fast reply!
Thank you for this amazing video!
Glad you liked it :)
1:00:14 Could you please let me know how you positioned the arm behind and in front of the body? I'm struggling on how to do it for my character
You can select the whole arm and change it’s Z value bringing it forward or moving it backwards
your tutorial is boring you did not show anything usefull just get to the point and rigg sumthing bruh
worst tutorial ever why you keep talking about random stuff in this program.. just do step by step man and everybody gonna learn faster we are just a begginers
After struggling for a day to get past the Ear patch part.I realized that the cutter node in XXPatch was inverted
1:00:35 is there a way to clone them without it mimicking the other eye?
thank you for your work, I bought it. It's great. Do you have the girl?
1 year later and I found this tutorial really useful! You did a perfect job of showing the process of creating a rig for characters. I hope you conintue uploading tutorials or courses. I have learnt so many things finishing this tutorial and i hope other will too! I never new your chanel before, but even the animation vlogs are also really interesting. They give a sense of how cool actually working in the industry could be. I am an animation student and i really really want to make it my career in the future. Anyways i want to say once again a big thanks!
Hello! Great videos and helped me a lot. However I have a problem at mirroring eyes. After I apply the static node, when I try to move the eye in the views, the deformers won't move when I use the animate tool, they will remain in the same position. So, if i try to move the second eye with animate tool, instead of moving, it will deform and ruin it. How can I fix this? What step did I do wrong? Because until i applied the static node and I had just the peg on the cloned eye, it moved correctly if i selected the peg to move.
what keyboard short cut did you use to switch between the master pegs while posing?
By default it should be B or Shift+B
Where you at brother.
Actually, I'll be back soon :D
Dude you are a legend for providing such an amazing detailed tutorial for beginners like me! Thank you very much kind sir!
I am a Blender native learning ToonBoom, and the way you are approaching using them in a combined workflow is inspiring. Also the video is very funny and extremely wholesome, 10/10.
Hi, Juhas, If I buy Blank Guy - Toon Boom Harmony Rig, will this compatible with Harmony 22 essentials version. Thank you.
Hi, sadly it will not. The rig was built using Harmony Premium and works only under the Premium version. In order for it to work fully you would need the Node View which Essentials doesn't have :(
@@juhastv Thank you
does anyone have the find and replace script he's using? I tried to find the older video he said he got it form but cant find it anywhere

@@juhastv thanks really appreciate the help!
You're the only one in youtube who has a complete tutorial on "How to create a rig" from scratch, most animators asume too much, they come up with a completely rigged character and they miss the point of teaching the first technical steps in order to create one. Well done and thank you.
You are a gem! This video is so helpful for me.
Hey a have a question. I Buy the model but the question es how to make animation With the model. Because have a lot a this. I need help
4:24 did he say out patch or auto patch? Because I can't find out patch anywhere on Toon Boom Harmony.
I have this for an assignment. I am so screwed.
Ha crazy I had a job a while back that used a d20 - built the entire thing as a 3D asset inside Harmony, with a drawover layer to get the right lines. Was pretty quick, and looked alright in the end!
Also, love your stuff man!
The video is pretty old now xD these days I would build the whole thing in blender up to the final render xD
@@juhastv not a dumb idea! I had thought to build the asset in Maya and throw a render node at it - but it worked pretty well in the end :) Used a single triangle, and whole bunch of precomping and peg transforms to get the final build - did my head in keeping all the trig right!
Course is really great. Node view is smaller and it's really hard to copy and learn.
Bruh I need that blender tutorial, that looks sick!!
In the making. It’s actually almost done. Editing this stuff is a nightmare xD
@@juhastv Lol I can believe it, can't wait to see it when it's done
Your tutorials are the best one on this topic ever. Even better than TB's website.
LVOED IT
thanks for your all videos ... all are very helpful ,,,thanks for your efforts again...god bless you :)
You are great!!

So smart
This is really excellent! Beyond the stuff related to animation and rigging I really enjoyed the cinematography. What is your background in coding and how do you apply it to your animation/rigging/scripting?
Glad you liked it :) There was a problem I wanted to solve, related to a d&d campaign of mine. While solving the issue I decided to turn the solution into a desktop app. I had no real experience coding apart from some basic js at work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ As for the use of code in animation -> mainly simple javascript tools to speed up the workflow. Repeatable tasks and clicks. It's also pretty useful for QC while rigging.
I like that video contain nature "part" - like remembering to walk outside
That’s genius with that patch staying behind the line art
Wooow! I absolutely loved it! Thanks for sharing your process! Incredible job!!
what are all the music tracks used? (link or titles pliz :})
Love this! Really intresting!
