Just sold my Wolfe Ridge 28C and pretty much out of the firewood business. Too bad I can't take the 1165V off your hands for the price of a box store splitter. Gotta have a splitter to process the wood that i have left, and do my own firewood once saleable inventory is gone.

Len thats a tough question, everyone is differ with their response time. Some people freeze up so it wouldn't matter foot or knee control. I wish you had an opportunity to try both to make a decision. Its like a golf club or fishing rod everyone likes a certain feel and the same is with foot or knee controls. Ok if Jill is looking at resplitting the vertical 1165V is the way to go. If you’re looking for a horizontal the 2265 is faster and a lighter machine and one of Split-Fires most populat splitters. The 3465 is a good choice if you’re looking at boiler wood product. Let me know if you have any other questions before placing an order. Safe and happy new years to you guys.👍TCT
@ not sure yet, Jill doesn’t care for the vertical splitter, but she has never tried one , we do have large blocks to break down and about 50/50 between them and bundle wood , her thought was the 3465 would do it all!
@@AlaskaWoodYard Yes the 3465 would definitely handle both the big blocks and by converting to the two way knife do resplitting. The nice thing about the Split-Fire is Jill can choose the table height that fits here when she orders it.Let me know if you have additional questions. 👍TCT

12/27/24..so Tony very glad you video these Sweedish 'Rifle' Co tree pusher/directional fall tools. Great looking equipment & very well engineered for multiple uses. Know that I went to that Colorado supply house & was u/a to find any mention of this company's tools! Hope this comment +your communication back to them will get result in their listing the this 1-man- directional Control manual crank device. Today's review on smaller #3 size tool was well received. But think that #6 size tool gives more power to push? Take care & be safe! 💪😊

$4,000 is affordable??
when you consider most vertical splitters currently are commercial at a cost of $13,000 the Split-Fire is definitely affordable. However if you’re using a box store splitter as baseline then they are more expensive but they don’t make vertical splitters. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
@TonysCoolTools my $700 splitter tilts up to split vertically, it's just not waist level. Creators need to quit gaslighting on affordability, your average individual cannot afford a $4000 splitter. Most creators have these tools given to them! Get real, it's cool but not $4000 cool

@ you too Tony. It’s summer in Australia and quite warm so log splitting for firewood is not high on the list of priorities. I’m cutting the grass on my farm when I’m able to over the Christmas break.
I had a friend splitting wood for me a few years back with my little HF 5 ton. I told him to always keep a hand on the wood. That didn't happen and he ended up in the hospital with stitches in his face.

Hey Russ you're right in that Split-Fire make an affordable splitter for the average Woodhound out there. Most woodhounds dream of owning a commercial log splitter unfortunately thats not realistic mainly due to cost. We are lucky there are so many great manufactures and brands that offer many choices. Great to see one of the what I consider to be a top you tuber for wood showing the split fire splitters. I think they are great. Was going to get the 1165 v but thought that the 2265 will be more stable in the areas I need to put the splitter. Thanks for putting out this video and the ones you already did on the 1165. Really enjoying your videos.... whenever you have the extra help take the four-way and put it on and bust those big rounds down and pass them over to the person that's running the vertical machine and you can crank out some pretty good volume.. does away with them having to wrestle the big rounds.. that's what I'm doing with my 4413 and 1165 V.. they really make some pretty clean cuts without all the shred that some volume machines create.. Marco at splitfire has a couple videos on his UA-cam page of machines that are over 20 years old and still busting logs. . thanks for that log claw video also.. it is a big time back saver... have a Merry Christmas

Dollars to donuts they come out with a vertical in the near future with the capabilities of the 2265/3255...at a price point that will put the vertical market on it's head.

Great splitter Tony. I can sense a comparison video with Chris and his Ultra in the future. Maybe you could be his Old Best Friend and promote back to the Best Friend category again? lol. The Split Force definitely is a nice looking machine, the 4 way and log lift and to,top it off the 8” and other lift height options make it a full stick of gum and a freash bottle of water rated machine. Great video Tony. I’ve had box store splitters for 40 years but bought a Split-Fire 2265 with log lift last year. Commercial quality at a semi reasonable price. I love the bi directional splitting, no need to pull the wood back to the splitter. Super fast, I run it on half throttle most of the time. Easy to move around too. I’ve split 36 inch logs on it. Buy the 2265 and you won’t regret it. High quality products.

I got the excavator mount splitter this year at bunyon. It’s built very heavy. Hopefully I can get to camp soon to get a video of it. Peace

I see the advantages with a split grapple but are there disadvantages with such a large opening between the 2 clamping heads? I need a grapple but undecided which way to go.
Since there are several styles of grapples you need to decide what grapple is right for you. What woek will you be doing mostly, logging, cleaning brush, clearing weedy areas? I have not found a down side for the space between the grapples. Actually it's an advantage in that if I want to push over a tree I center it in the middle of the grapple and use the strongest part of the grapple which is the back to push with. Tony. I currently have 27 ton champion box store splitter that I have setup on a table and utilize it as a vertical splitter. I split allot of large diameter white, read oak and Hickory. Do you think if I sold the champion unit I could split everything the champion could do with the 1165?
Just a reminder the maximum diameter of round would be 20” on the 1165V. . You would have to noodle large rounds so they fit under the wedge. However due to the 3.5 second cycle time you will gain a lot of time back using the 1165V . Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT

Great Video Tony! Thats a {block heater} and the front bucket bar is called a {cutting edge}. I have the 2,019 DK4210SE it i not easy to get at the oil\filter or the cap remove to refill with new oil. Then I have to use a long skinny funnel to new the oil real slow dip stick the same thing very hard to read and get at. If disconnected the bucket and backed out of it would be much easier but that to isn't an easy task. And the {2} grease fitting on the front privet are hard to find and hard to get any grease in them. Other then that i love my KIOTI and well buy again.

Lee Valley Tools sells a chainsaw vice that works well & comes with a ratchet strap to secure it. I have two. I drilled a couple of holes through them.
