    Hi Tony: I’ve been using Norwoods tree pusher. It’s been a great tool for directional felling. In the past, I’ve roped a lot of trees that now I use the tree pusher on. The extra accessories with this pusher are a plus for sure.

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools  7 місяців тому

      Richard that’s how I started out as well. I purchased the Norwood Timber Tool (which by the way they no longer sell) and was using it for about 6 years and contacted Reipal since there pusher looked identical and found out Reipal private labels the Norwood pusher. Regardless which pusher you have they work awesome!

    I've been looking at the Tauler jack kit as something of a replacement for the hi-lift jack I keep around the shop - mainly because it's a DIY welding project that looked fun, and I need to practice my welding. That said, I really like the looks of these tools. I really like having multiple functions stacked into the design.

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools  7 місяців тому +2

      I’m sure woodhounds have come up with different designs using a Jack of some sort. The RH Pusher is probably the best design unit I’ve seen for directional felling as well as multi functional to do other tasks.
      Good luck with your welding project and send me a picture when your finished.

    For those of us that don't have a splitter log lift or a tractor, I was wandering if you think it would be feasible for the Reipal to be converted to a tripod design and lifting tongs?

    If you only had 1 option, would you buy the III or VI? Love the weight and versatility of the III, but concerned it might be “underpowered” at times. Believe the III could handle 90% of the trees on my property though. Really enjoy your videos and appreciate your guidance.

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools  7 місяців тому

      I’ve used the 1, 3 and 6. The 6 is a beast and will handle those big trees even the ones out west.
      But as you pointed out the 3 will do 90% of the trees I would be cutting.
      I used the 1 for over 6 years and was extreamily happy with it as well.
      If I have a really big tree I typically have a rope and winch to help bring tree over in direction I want it to come.
      Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Super cool. Super expensive too…eek. Seems like a ton of money for what it is. Price puts it out of range for a lot of people. Very cool though.

    • @alanross3435
      @alanross3435 7 місяців тому +1

      Very true about the price. I just got the pusher III for my one man diy at home operation because I have 4 Doug Fir trees 🌲 that have died, 120’+ and over 30” at the stump that need to be dropped, the 700 plus dollars was a lot less then having a tree service come in!
      I dropped the first one on the money! It is as good as Tony says. I did my research and decided it was the way to go. When the weather gets better I’ll drop the other 3. We burn about 7 cords a year, so plenty of good wood to split. Plus I now have a great tool that will last me the rest of my life!👍🏻

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools  7 місяців тому +2

      Well I have to say quality, well built tools are expensive.
      But like the old saying you get what you pay for.
      Your right this tool may not be for everyone but I wanted to show what’s out there and how useful and handy the RH Pusher is.

      @@TonysCoolTools I really liked the tool…so much so that I spent an hour looking into these and the cheap ones Tractor Supply sells work once and seem pretty sketchy, borderline dangerous. Would love to get one, but $800-1200 is a big pill to swallow.

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools  7 місяців тому +1

      @@mmaiorano3 I saw the same reviews about the Poor quality ones from China. I would contact Viking Mountain Tool Works (contact info listed in discription) and check out the RH Pusher 1 or II. They are less expensive but still work great.👍TCT

  • @JeffGeorgalas
    @JeffGeorgalas 7 місяців тому +2

    Not trying to be a smart-butt Tony, just want to clarify. OSHA or other government agencies don't "endorse" anybody or anything. If they did, it would then become political, which they (or definitely us) don't want. Something either meets OSHA requirements, or it doesn't, which is how I think it should be, hopefully you agree.
