  • IBC’s are one of the most versatile storage and carry devices on your property. Regardless of whether you have a tractor or not you can find many uses for them. They can be used as a carry-all for tools, firewood, building materials or anything else you can think of. You can even make a man-lift from the IBC. The best part is if you buy them right, they don’t lose their value when you go to sell them.

Your load of totes looks almost like your own personal "Wild Mouse". I used one for a manlift bucket, replaced that deep fiberglass bucket that"s so hard to get in and out of. Now I got enuf room to stretch out and fix roofs. As for handling fw, I'd rather spend the money on concrete, with a sturdy push wall. - Bion, I recognized Burt's barn sev long seconds before I recognized Cjris!!

We use totes but I’m out. I wish Bert was closer 😂 We get more wood in a smaller footprint using totes. We also use them for ugly splits that also double as 8ft dividers to hold up our stacked firewood. Take care Tony👊🏻

Though a bit pricy, when you buy a couple at a time it’s not to bad.
Without a doubt they are extreamily useful in the woodyard.
I love the idea of using them as a wall to help stack the stacked splits.

I really like the R14 tires. I ordered my Kioti with industrial tires but during Covid Kioti was only shipping tractors with R14. I almost refused taking the tractor but my dealer assured me I’d like them and if not they would exchange the tires. It’s been 4 years and I am extremely happy. They are awesome in the snow and I haven’t needed to use chains on my tires.
I did make a video where I talk about the tires.

      Shingles dry out over time.
Roof Max has a large number of dealers that check to see whether your roof is good enough to be sprayed. They will make any needed repairs and apply the product to soften the shingles.
There is a debarking disc from Canada that fits on a large angle grinder. It has adjustable, sharpenable, replaceable blades. I saw it on channel. Sawing with Sandy. and it looks really good. The chips go flying. It is around $600.
There are many videos showing freehand chainsaw milling. No jig.
      1. Elevate and stabilize the log.
      2. Stretch the string.
      3. Shallow initial cut.
      4. Many passes, cutting down a little at a time.
      5. Do all the boards at the same time so the log is stable as long as possible.
Running a Stilh saw at full RPMs with no load will damage it. A small saw is best.
You could do a short log, medium diameter, to show people what you are talking about and refer us to the other videos for more instruction. It would be fun. Wouldn't that be fun?
Freehand chainsaw milling could be part of your war preparation theme series. You are a smart person. You can tell us what tools we need and how to keep going when the supply chains are disrupted. Energy is critical. You and many of your listeners are in the energy business.

Chris nearly hurt himself lifting that huge log out of the hole so he could finish cutting it into 16 inch pieces. It may have been 3 feet long or longer and it may have been 3 feet in diameter or more. He could have used the freehand chainsaw milling technique to cut out sections to reduce the weight. If he had a meat hook on a chain to the towing vehicle, he could have flipped the log whole.
Ripping chain is 10 degrees and cross-cut chain is 30 degrees but you can use a crosscut chain to rip anyway.
Some of those old fashioned giant chisels might be useful. One is called a "slick" I think.
There is an electric circular saw with a 10 or 12 inch blade. You hold it with your hands like the smaller 7" version. Tick Creek Ranch has one. It is used for timber framing.
The homesteaders movement is accelerating. Joel Salatin writes books about it. He says that people who know how to build things, grow things and fix things will be in demand. He said he has had three different billionaires asking him what to do.
