Hi Tony! I’ve been having the same issue with UA-cam. It’s just killing a very small channel like mine. I can’t grow if they keep doing this. I’m close to throwing in the towel. As for the cant hook, what an incredibly important tool. Having my own sawmill and logging my logs, you just couldn’t get along without it. I didn’t know there were so many versions of it. Thanks for sharing!
Brian I know it’s frustrating and I’ve thrown in the towel a few times myself in the last two years but kept coming back.
Give it a little more time.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Hey Brian , don’t throw in the towel , your channel is great and it will grow . I’ve had the same problem for over a year . It will come .
@@inthebackyardwithdel438 Del I appreciate the words of encouragement for a fellow Woodhound.👍TCT
Hey Tony, I’m sorry it’s taken me me so long to get back to you but I did receive the “tick tools” that you sent me. Over the last 3 weeks I found at least 5 ticks attached to me including one inside my belly button. They work great to remove them! Thanks again Tony!
I have a peavy but I call it a “log roller”, I don’t use it very often as I try to stay away from large logs that I can’t lift up to the Ultra once it’s bucked.
Joe I’m glad you received the tic twister. This year is bad, I’ve had several tic’s on me as well.
Stay safe and I hope you feel better in the future .👍TCT
Hey Tony I have not had any issues with notifications from your channel. Also the wooden handled Cant hook would be my pick of the lot. Guess because I'm partial to the antique Cant hooks that can still be found at farm auctions. Have a great day! -Everett
I’ll tell you the wooden handle on my first cant hook is a beast.
I too am always looking for antique cant or peavey at garage sales or auctions.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
i've had the original Peavey with the woodhandle for 20+ years without trouble.
Tom if you have a Peavey branded tool it definitely is a well built tool for sure.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
I've had the same one for years too.
Great video Tony. Hope you don’t mind but in my next video I gave a shoutout to your channel. These and many of the other tools you show make it safer to work in the woodyard. Since my next video is about ways to be safer, I thought people could check out your channel to see specifics on some of the tools I mentioned.
Thanks, I do my best to show as many back saving and tools that help you work safer and quicker.
Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍TCT
got me a logrite xtreme 60 inch cant hook last week .
i am not a logger , i'm new to firewood .
i get 3 footish trunks/logs from a local arbor delivered to our home .
the xtreme makes it a LOT easier moving them on my old back and replaced knee and hip .
my 25 ton county line splitter with two tables , fiskars hookaroon and C400 along with the xtreme is a significant invest since last winter .
but i can heat our home (with our C150 boiler) for about $300 worth of wood for the entire winter .... along with some sweat and pain from me .
we were spending $400 - $500 on propane EACH MONTH !!!
thanks tony . i resubbed ;)
Wow it looks like your Arsenal for firewood is Awesome!!!!
Though you’re saving money cutting your own wood you forgot to mention the exercise you’re getting as well.
That Logrite can’t hook is unbelievable for sure.
Safe cutting and splitting. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
@@TonysCoolTools yeah , exercise . move it or loose it !!!!! that's so true !
but .... i can only do a few hours , then i have to give my back a few days .
like dirty harry said " a mans got to know his limitations" .
Hello there old almost good new/old friend! Nice tools ya got there! Hey I also just noticed almost 10k subs and way past 1,000,000 views...good work old best!
Well former besty you have a big part of my UA-cam success even though you are shorter and not as good looking!

Man the can’t hook sure is a handy tool! Sucks sometimes when the bark is loose hard to grip the log. Great video Tony👍👍
Jeremiah as you know the cant or peavey are indispensable tools when working with logs like we do.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
They should be called CAN hooks
😊
Job well done on another fine video,
Thanks for taking the time and effort to teach others.
Best wishes for continued success.

You and Chris turned me on to the Woodchuck log jack and I’m extremely happy with it. Thanks guys.
You’re right the Woodchuck multi tool is a handy tool in the woodyard.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
I didn't even know these tools exited until 2 weeks ago. After watching Chris and your vid's, I got the Woodchuck Timber Pro cant hook and hookaroon, the Fiskar XA22 hookaroon, and 2 Fiskar 12" (LT6) log tongs.
I've been struggling and hurting my back for 15 years trying to keep the trees under control on my moms acreage. These tools (along with the new CountyLine 25t log splitter I just got from TSC) are gonna be an absolute game changer!
Looks like you have an arsenal of firewood tools that is going to make your life easier and save your back.

You’re getting close to 10k subscribers Tony! Nice. 👍🏻

Hey Tony , I love my Log Ox. I like the new upgraded pins but I wish the handle was just a little longer . 👍🏻🇺🇸
Del I’m sure Austin from LogOx will be reading these comments. They are an awesome company and great to deal with.

Thanks Tony.
I have 2 of the 2 piece ones from Fleet Farm only they are Black. I made a Bar to fit them side by side so I can raise the entire Log off the Ground. I had to weld the handles together because they kept coming loose. And the slot the foot is mounted to ripped out on one trying to lift a too large a Log AHAHAHAHA
Big beefy Me over works My tools.....
Ha ha, always modifying and re-engineering tools.
All that works is they work when you need them.

I think I have a cant hook/ peavy addiction. I have 18 antique cant hooks and 7 peaveys . Most I acquired at flea markets and tractor shows in northern Wisconsin. Half of them I turned new handles out of hickory or hops horn beam. Three of my favorites are the peavy from Maine, a original CCC from Wisconsin and a original Oshkosh brand. There is something special in using a logging tool over a hundred years old and thinking of all the work it has done. Also I have 4 two person log tongs. Tony do you have any antique logging tools?
Ha ha Alfred, it definitely sounds like you have a cant/peavy addiction.
There is a 12 step program for that😂😂😂
Wisconsin flea markets and garage sales are definitely a good place to find them.

Hi Tony great review,I love both my new log ox and my log rite pick.
Ted love the fact both tools are made in the USA and are extremely HD and functional tools in the Woodyard.
Thanks for watching and commenting. TCT
I bought the cheap version of this tool from Amazon. The slots for assembly of the tool did not fit and had to be shimmed with small washers. After taking it out of the shed 8 or 10 times and using it maybe 50 times, the steel is cracking. I repaired the joint temporarily with epoxy until it breaks and then I will buy one of these.
I’ve been there and have done the same. I try to uy the best quality tools I can afford so it last a long time. like the old saying buy once cry once.

After asking viewers to resubscribe I got over 1500 people to resubscribe in a couple days which put me over 10k.
