High five for excellent taste in drow, face preset, and body type! Barb was tempting but I liked the extra bit of backstory Durge has with pally and I wanted to play homage to the default Durge race/class so I went draconic bloodline with white dragon ancestry. That said, though, maybe I could put 1 level in barb. That would have been a cool choice to reveal Orin as an imposter. They really could have done a lot more with this Orin subplot, like having her kidnap the love interest, for one.

Yeah, best voice hands down! Makes me wish Durge/Tav was fully voiced.

I tried it it and can confirm even if you let wyll die at the emerald gate this scene doesn't occur. It skips right to astarions bite scene

Based on the datamined dialogue, every companion has a reaction to the scene. The issue here is it's not triggering for some reason. I did this video a while back so it may be possible it's been fixed by now. It is a pretty fringe case, though, since in most playthroughs you'd likely have more than one companion at this point and he and Gale seem low priority when it comes to speaking up during this scene.

@@SkyAlbaharu Yup, definitely seems like it. I don't know the exact priorities, but I do know Astarion always speaks up during this scene even when he's not in the party.

Would have been awesome to have them both as actual companions.

It's been a while since I did it, so I'll have to go and see. I do know it never worked when Wyll was around. Something about Mizora turning up that bugs it out.

Does she not react even if she's the only one in your party when it happens? I noticed Shadowheart and Astarion take priority during this, so if you had them in your party, they'll likely speak instead of Karlach. If she's not reacting when she's your only party member, you could try to get rid of Wyll instead of recruiting him. If she does react, then it's definitely him bugging her out.

@@ElderSnowball I just remembered that it may not actually matter who's in your party because Astarion seems to chime in regardless. It's probably why I only had each specific companion recruited when I made the video. However, I have heard Karlach speak up even with Astarion butting in, so it's still possible that Wyll is messing that up for you.

Pally :) It's more RP-driven than anything. Draconic bloodline sorc (white dragon) as an homage to the default durge, and then oathbreaker for most of the game until reclaiming Oath of the Ancients oath.

With an epilogue showing karlach and tav passed out cuddling on a couch in their home with a little one playing on the floor

can you imagine a dlc that adds a BUNCH of new races to the game as well as a post-absolute campaign?? oh my god that would be amazing. it doesn’t have to be as massive as the main campaign mind you. AND MAYBE it’s different if you romanced somebody, like if you romanced gale you do a campaign taking place in waterdeep, or avernus if you romanced karlach. the possibilities with astarion too holy shit. you could have an entire campaign dedicated to helping him find a way to walk in the sun again. and then maybe after the campaign is when you unlock the new races permanently?? even with new playthroughs??

@@w0lfdogI doubt it would happen, on account of how time consuming and difficult it would be, but maaan it would be cool.

Mods. There are mods for both the half devil and half angel races with wings.

@@davidwagner3710 In this video, I sent him away so the Mizora scene wouldn't trigger since that messes with the Karlach scenes. I imagine killing him would probably have the same result.

It really confuses me because I try so hard to trigger all these scenes myself and experiment with the dialogue but it makes it hard when half of them aren't even accessible. I have 150 hours in and I'm still in the beginning basically.

@@nickkiser8958 I haven't tested it with the latest patch, but if you have Wyll in your party, then you're not likely to get these conversations.
