When you meet Isobel, warn her that Marcus plans to kidnap her. After that, you should be able to access this dialogue if you pick either the, "Thank you," or, "Is there something else I should know?" options.
I've played 550+ hours of BG3 and I'm trying to make my runs different every time. But literally every day (!) I watch some videos and see something I've never seen before... What an amazing game!
@@godlymajins patch 5 notes only comment on her behavior when falling from the balcony and similar small stuff, patch 4 is not much different. Patch 3 opens dialogue for when you know Ketheric is her father. So which patch and notes are you referring to? Your comment is not particularly helpful without further clarification
It was pretty tricky to get. Had to basically flip flop from conventionally good and bad choices. Here's how I got it to work for me: 1. Raided the grove and got the lyre from Minthara. 2. Went through the Mountain Pass for the drider escort. 3. During the Harper ambush, turned on the drider and helped the Harpers. 4. At Last Light, played along with Marcus, including agreeing to help kidnap Isobel. 5. After meeting Isobel, told her that Marcus is planning to kidnap her. After that, the fight happens, and when you talk to Isobel, this dialogue is available if you pick either the, "Thank you," or, "Is there something else I should know?" options. Edit: typo
@@JingLan69well the raid is also nesscesary because otherwise you dont get the initial Marcus dialogue but Mol instead when Jaheira ensnares you. The reason this is super rare is because you gotta slaughter the grove and then decide; ya know what, I wanna be a good guy now. Most people only slaughter the grove on a full evil PT because who the hell prefers to do it otherwise?!
It's really weird since this conversation seems more in line with siding with the tieflings. I did experience a strange situation when testing mods, though. I used The Debug Book by Rukongai to instantly go to Act 2 and opted for the good route. However, it was Marcus who showed up to vouch for my durge. Not sure if it'll work, but it could mean that completely ignoring the tiefling kids may mean you'd have a chance to have this conversation on a good run. Again, though, I'm just guessing. It was a really funky save where the dragonborn bard turned up for my durge in Act 2, so it's very likely I'm wrong, haha.
Actually the woman in the picture is her not her mother. As ketheric said she died young. When Isobel said the woman was long dead, she wad talking about herself

The file name of the photograph is actually still related to Aylin (to Nightsong, anyway), but its name and description are about Ketheric and Melodia. Definitely hidden. I've had countless playthroughs and never got this naturally. To get this video, I had to do a new playthrough and rush to Act 2. That's why Shadowheart is the only there; she was the only companion I recruited, haha.

Act 2 is by far my favorite act, and Act 3 is my least favorite, haha. Something about it that just makes me stop playing once I get there. Maybe now it'll be more motivating to play with the epilogue, though.
@@justanotherignot Yeah, there's much going on aside lifting the Shadow curse. Several companions have an important moment in their story that decides their fate, like Shadowheart, Wyll or Gale for example. So you only ply act 1 and 2 and then start again?
@@MoonsongReverb Act 2 story is just so good, and that finale, if you do a good playthrough? Most games would end it there and people would be happy. As for starting over after Act 2, pretty much, yup. I've finished the game at least 2 times, so after that, I just didn't feel motivated to play Act 3 since there was just basically two endings back then. We have epilogues now, though, so I think I might actually complete more playthroughs for now on :)
@@justanotherignot Some epilogues are nice. But i didn't install the patch yet I learned my lesson with patch 4. I did it immediately and half of act 3 was bugged to hell So i'll wait a bit what people say and see if any game breaking bugs show up again. If It's playable, then i will dowmlaod patch 5^^

5 playthroughs in yet I never found this. I love Baldur's Gate, when you thought you seen everything a new playthrough keep telling me otherwise.

Thanks! It's the drow leather armor set that Minthara is wearing, one of the few pieces that look good on drows without needing to dye.
