Orin can TAKE MINTHARA? I guess its been such a hidden detail because previously going through the whole process of recruiting Minthara meant you were probably gonna have her in your party.
idk, having her bunk with Halsin the whole trip was unexpectedly funny. Plus, they seem to alternate between who wants to react/care about the latest party development.
It's also such a pleasant surprise to see how much Karlach and Minthara get along. Very glad for Patch 5 letting people recruit Minthara on a good playthrough.
Apparently someone datamined a convo where Halsin makes you choose between him and Minthara being in the party, so at some point the plan might have been you can recruit her from Moonrise but Halsin will leave, allowing you to stop shadow curse and get her on a good playthrough if you do it in the right order. Might be where they go in a future patch. Or else they will have to make a new camp spot, it's strange they live together lol.
@@bleepbloop101010101 I did not know we can remove the Shadow curse completely, wow :O I thought it goes away once we rescue the Nightsong, but in my playtroughs Halsin always stays behind because of it, so I guess I never hve him recruited further in the game. I have Jaheira, though

I actually kind of hope they either apply it or give Minthara and Halsin their own camping spots because it looks super weird. The only camp spot I know where they get their own spots is the one in the Lower City. I don't know about the room in the tavern since I never get that one.
@@Milena-ix5mq If you rescue Thaniel from the Shadowfell, reunite him with Oliver, free the Nightsong, and then kill Ketheric Thorm you will get a cutscene as you are leaving the shadowcursed lands of the curse lifting and life being restored to the area.
I think Karlach says a the same line for every character being kidnapped but with slightly variations since for my current play through Lae’zel was kidnapped and she said the same thing but replaced Minthara with Githyanki
She does, yes. Minthara's case is interesting since Karlach doesn't have anything to say when Minthara is recruited in Act 2, even though it was possible to have them both in the party pre-Patch 5 by ignoring the goblin/grove conflict.
Karlach when Halsin is kidnapped: My druid! Karlach when Gale is kidnapped: My wizard! Karlach when Lae'zel is kidnapped: My githyanki! Karlach when Minthara is kidnapped: MY MINTHARA!
if you do origin Karlach and romance Minthara there's a scene where Minthara basically says "hey I'm gonna go to hell and kick Zariel's ass for what was done to you, are you going to come with or make me do this alone?"
@@KoeniginLogia There is, yes, but the only way to get Minthara's one romance scene is to side with the goblins. It's just interesting since the other companions don't have a romance scene with Karlach (if you play as her) because her engine isn't upgraded enough yet, but with Minthara, that's not an issue. But, yeah, you can definitely side with the tieflings and then romance Minthara.
@@thefriendlyknight I used the mod because I wanted to romance Karlach with my durge, and that wouldn't be possible if you let the tieflings die. I'm not sure if the mod works in the current patch, but from what I read in the patch notes, it sounds like you can now recruit Minthara in a good playthrough if you knock her out instead of kill her. Haven't tried it myself, though.
Also, if you have Withers looking aftrer Karlach and Wyll's souls when the events at the grove go down (i.e. just let them die in combat prior), you can have him resurrect them after the "afterparty." If they weren't there to witness your part in what happened, what they don't know won't make them hate your guts. :P

If it does, though, you could just do the knock out method they added in Patch 5, but I think you have to do it when she's temporarily hostile.

Yup. And if you play as Karlach, you can romance Minthara no problem in Act 1. That means siding with the goblins, though.

Either ignore the grove and goblin conflict or use the Daughter of Lolth - Minthara - Good Recruitment mod by Rukongai from Nexus Mods.

You can now recruit her without mods after patch 5- just knock her out instead of killing
