Mixing Minds - Character Co-Creation Imaginal Practice

If you have someone you can meditate and feel safe with, give this a try! The idea is to blend aspects of yourself with the other person, while they do the same. So your body-image becomes theirs, your thoughts become theirs, your perspective becomes theirs and vice versa. We only did this for around 5 minutes, but already started to feel the effects. Imagine going longer and imagine going meta...

The 3 Main Reasons to Meditate

I knew this when a teenager. Not easy doing something that did not exist with people who had no idea that they had no idea. Asleep in an abyss. . In time the role of the observer was appreciated and much later the ineffable Witness was inferred and then glimpsed as what I and all else was.. I think Castaneda refers to this as well as the three Attentions which are personalised aspects of Awareness. Pure Awareness remains an ever present mystery. Some say it can be seen as an aspect of Consciousness, the primal substance which humans can have a non mechanical access to. Some say the reverse. What a great discovery awaits. Purification and release of the familiar conceptual reality must first be transversed in what is quite a journey into and through the timeless all the while whilst donning a mortal form. It is a never ending journey into the more and more subtle world of Glories that lie beyond words

Thanks for the great content. I had a first awakening shift last year, and since then I've had phases of consciousness expansion that lead again into contraction. The cycles can last a few days to a few weeks, where the notion of a self becomes a lot weaker, almost dispelled, and then grows stronger again. Can you make a video around this expansion and contraction situation please?

If my memory is correct, it has been shown that people who have very limited experience using vision (like newborns and the previously blind) can correctly associate the visual appearance of something with its physical shape - even though they don't have experience of touching that object before. It does seem that you're right that we phenomenologically feel things we see, in a way - like a prediction of what it would feel like to touch them.

What do you think about addiction/bad habits in relation to these understandings? Nisargadatta essentially smoked himself to death and would snap at people who questioned him about his habit, osho was on all sorts of legal and illegal shit, the shambhala/something or other rinpoche guy was a heavy drinker, Alan watts smoked and drank a lot, mooji eats like a horse(from what I hear from people who used to sit with him), and he, like many of these more unscrupulous gurus, from what I have heard from numerous sources, is a sex addict who has taken advantage of/sexually exploited many desperate seekers(which could almost be considered a form of the R. A. P. E. word, seeing as the kind of influence and position these fellers have over people).. I figure, if I was at one with life, had deep connection to peace and attuned to this life, transcended suffering and all that jazz, I'd be able to drop these fucking cigarettes like a hot potato, quit chugging so much damn gut rotting caffeine, and do something with my time other than staring at a fucking screen for hours a day, in an attempt to avoid feeling and experiencing the painful, boring and uncomfortable shit that comes up when I get still and sense my body and the silence that pervades it all. Do YOU have an opinion or any advice on the subject. I didn't really hear the video, so imma rewind. Thank you, if you, see, read and respond to this.

Awakening doesn't undo all vices. It's important to continue to do shadow work, process trauma and be open to feedback from all angles. Everyone has blind-spots.

Haha, now it seems I can't turn it off anymore :) I like it though! It's so clear when you pointed it out. Granted, I've noticed this before, but without this reminder I would not have been sensitive to it right now. Most of the sensations I have are in the face and a lot of them actually in my eyes. It's like when I watch a chair there is an impression of a chair printed on my eyes. It's kind of tiring to notice it. I'll start practicing it, the way you outlined. Thank you, Roger!

Do you think that there is some literally hardening in the fascia body tissues that mirrors the contraction of consciousness into a sense of selling?

another really obvious way to notice this is to bring an object like a pencil or even your finger slowly towards the point between your eyes but without it touching your body

I find that there's a unity between the frequency of the background noise in the visual field, auditory field and somatics, like they're all aspects of a whole. Feels like the constructive process of the phenomenological universe coming into being and disappearing.

Very nice! Eventually we can perceive everything as coming through one sense door (the God sense) and being of one taste, and choose to relate to reality at different levels of abstraction with varying degrees of complexity or simplicity.

Beautiful! That quote of Frank Herbert reminds me of Stephen Wolfram who talks about reality being computational irreducible. In order to compute what is going to happen, we have no other option than to let life unfold, because some things in life are so entangled that we can not know until reality knows, so to speak. Perhaps that is also the key that you are talking about? To know reality is to experience reality. If in some sense we try to objective reality or contrast it with anything else, we are trying to compute reality, which can not be done, because even reality does not know reality until it happens.

    • @pkoch

Indeed. Data is code, and code is data. Every time I see lightning strike, I always wonder "how the hell was that computed so fast?"
