This is a short 6 mins video on how to un-do tight lower back from sitting and re-align posture. Sometimes bad posture is caused by tight spine, especially in the lower back. This is caused by incorrect sitting position where the spine is leaned forward, with forward neck and head. People who work in the office often end up in this position and at the end of the day, tightness will accumulate in the lower back. There are a few moves that help to release the lower back. These are mainly movements that curl the spine, scoop the belly in and giving more space to the spine.

      Hi Mr/ Ma’am, if you disagree with the points made in this video you can either 1) voice your point of contention 2) double check with a certified physical therapist or physiotherapist 3) provide facts. Everything that I shared in my videos are taught to real clients at the pilates studio with actual results of improvement. I have no issues about further explaining sitz bones in relation to sitting. I’m open for discussion, based on facts please, thank you.

    I guess, but mostly genetics. "Bad posture" is not cause by laziness or by you sitting wrong. Even good posture will cause pain after a long time. You need to exercise and move. But if you still have pain, go see a doctor. Stop watching youtube

      Agree on the point about exercise and movement. Most bad posture cases are not genetics though. But of course it also depends on how you define “ bad”. I’m referring to majority of cases I have observed and found- It is caused by sedentary lifestyle and, incorrect movement patterns that result in imbalances in the spine.

      the two biggest root causes are poor spinal motion and weak core. instead of trying to align the shoulders, we need the spine to be mobilised so that it is not inhibiting the shoulders in its position, instead it allow the shoulders to roll back to its aligned position with the spine. this should happen before shoulder work takes place. and core is absolutely key here because weak core can never hold a posture upright. I have never seen a person with weak core but good posture. It is always strong core, good posture. think ballerinas.
