Every time I see a 4l60 transmission disassembled, it makes me sick just looking at it, it makes me dizzy. It would be great to have a video explaining how to put it together. Good luck, now you should be able to burn tires!! Happy New Year!!!

This episode reminds me of pulling the tranny out of a Porche 924 with floor jack and a skateboard. I was younger then. One of those cheap tin drip trays from the parts store will help keep the tranny fluid corralled.

I rebuilt a TH350 step by step watching a 3 hour UA-cam video on it. You could tell the guy was a pro. I used a big ratchet strap to hold it upright against my workbench and it was no sweat. I did have a buddy who let me borrow the reverse piston tool, but for anyone with a welder you can make anything you need. I was even able to figure out that my trans issue was the entire valve body was clogged with orange silicone. Somehow, it was able to get sucked into it before it was dry and starting blowing bubbles, just like bubblegum. As long as you keep a clean, dedicated area for all the parts, it’s no problem with patience. Love this car! Love the content man

4L60 is not that bad, just pay attention to your clutch pack clearances and put a lock retainer on the front seal. I guess I should watch a whole video before commenting, but I can't help myself. LOL I dig this old hearse.

Back in the early 90's my brother and I rebuilt a 1953 Cadillac hearst. We rebuilt the chassis and the inner fenders. Slapped in a 1970 472 cu.in. V-8, married it to a 1968 Dodge truck 4 speed transmission and placed a Ford 9inch rear end. Custom 2 pcs driveshaft and it took 3 years to get that far. 2 more years were involved with the body and interior. Another year for the chrome trim and bumpers. But when we got it done it was an instant hit with the locals. A dark forrest green, damn near black paint, black vynal top. The paint had 6 coats of clear over the paint and it looked awesome. Used it for funerals and car shows up until I sold it back in 2018. When it sold it eaned $49,000, and earned $14,000 in work orders. It was a labor of love that I will never do again.
