I just love the way you two work together. Many funny moments. But the car is looking great.
Thanks so much!
You appear to be incredibly patient, incredibly tolerant, and you’re obviously in love. Because damn!!. Once again awesome abilities on display.
We’ve been peas and carrots since the day we met
Progress! You are both doing a fantastic job!
Thanks so much!
Was thinking about yall when I was at the Hearsefest up here. Hopefully, you two can make it next time! Great video, as always
We were pretty bummed about missing it. Next year for sure
You two have done one hell of job on this car..
Coming along nicely.....
Hey guys, looking good, lotta hard work especially in the heat, enjoyed the video...Ralph
Thanks 👍. Definitely waiting for cooler weather
If anybody asks about the green, tell them its a tribute to rhe arsenic green that killed so many garment workers and wallpaper installers back in the 1700s
I had to look that up. That is crazy
In 19th-century England people considered small doses of arsenic safe and used it for diverse products, from face powder to rat poison. The substance found its way into food, textiles, medicine, and other common goods, so its use in wallpaper was not considered unusual. Swedish chemist Carl Wilhelm Scheele invented the first arsenic green pigment in 1775.[ii] The brightness and stability of Scheele’s green-along with different variations such as emerald and Vienna green-made them instant successes. Chemists and paint makers introduced arsenic to other colors as well, such as canary yellow, to create vibrant new hues.
Despite its vivid and eye-catching nature, doctors eventually discovered that arsenical wallpaper could kill. The ink often flaked off the paper only to be inhaled by those nearby, while moisture, abrasion, or heat caused the release of toxic vapors. Increasing reports of mysterious illnesses and deaths of small children or even entire families gained the attention of the general public in the mid-19th century. It was not until the late 1860s that doctors connected those maladies with the presence of luminous green paper on the walls.[iii] Public awareness about the dangers Scheele’s green presented, especially for children, made people seek safer wallpaper options.

Thank you. It’s all her.
Nothing wrong with the Green paint, makes the interior pop 👍
This build reminds me of a dream build I've had since I was young !!! A '57 Cadillac Hearse with a Ice cooler shaped like a coffen and a blower out the hood !!! Love this build. !!!
Cooler yes. Blower no. Maybe twin turbos
Awsome came a long way and I'm rolling in the floor you two need to start a comedy show lol great content as always can't wait for the next one
Glad you enjoyed. Thank you
To hide those staples from showing on the door pillars, use some nail polish the same colour and paint them so they can’t be seen. Did it on my old coupe and nobody ever noticed it.
Hmm. Not a crazy idea
You two are awesome and the hearse is a beast! Very cool! Watching this thing come to life is so cool!
Hopefully the motor is good
@@Theoldironworkshop I'm sure you won't have any trouble with that motor!
Not wonder you don't ask for more help from her
isn't that the truth.
It’s in good fun
Lookin gooood! So beautiful!
Thank you!!
I think the car looks great. Im color blind and everything looks amazing. And I agree with the boss lady on leaving original turn signals.
She’s looking for some better ones
Only time you have to open it is when you here moning coming from the box.

@@Theoldironworkshop Did you show her this? LOL...
You two made me laugh alot.

My roommate has the personality of a dead person.
I am not kidding you

You guys are pure joy. It started out as I simply liked car shows but you guys are just awesome. Thank you.

Thanks a ton! That was a disaster of a trip. We had a ton of fun there
Turn signal fog light is a factory accessory. Keep the Faith
Maybe ill sneak them on
Appreciaten all the time and details y'all are putting into this old Hearst. Come a long way from when you drug it to your house and started on it. Lookin really good. Just can't stop watching y'all each week.
Thank you very much

Yes she a darn good time
gday team .. reckon that metallic green looks alright mixed with the interior colours on the door panels.
perhaps y’all could use one of your fog lights as a reverse light for Mabel .. just an idea.

Cool idea! Maybe
Yo Old Iron Workshop Hi again from the D Mi USA 😎😁 hey thanks for sharing another great video update on your progress with the Hearst Caddy, so far looking good 🤩👍💕🔥😁
Thanks 👍. Sorry we missed it
Coming along nicely, thanks for sharing the curse of hurst, what about blacking out the grill for now
Well all the patina will stay for now
👍
Man, this is looking so good. Mabel's definitely gonna turn some heads when she's turned loose. Thanks for showing the fowl ups and the fixes for each. Let's me know you younger guys can still think on the fly.
Just know it'll all be worth it. I know you know that. Sometimes it helps to be reminded.
Great job, to the both of you.
Who do you get to repair your sewing machines? Just wondering. My dad worked on them all his life.
Not the computer ones though.
Thank you. I’ve never had them serviced. Probably need to have the consew tuned. Probably not may of them guys around anymore
@@Theoldironworkshop Sad, that's probably true. Dad passed several years ago. Dad told me once, when I asked about working on them, not to get into sewing machine repair. He said there's no money in it.
When I was in my teens, to blow one out and oil it, was around ten bucks. Now it's over a hundred. I think dad missed the mark on that prediction. Anyway, I was just curious. Thanks for the reply.
I really enjoy watching your videos.
Love your truck too.
Those fog lights should be purple
You guys are doing a Wonderfull job with Mabel, hope to see her running real soon. 👍👍👍
I hope so too!
funny how she thinks "it's almost a driver" as soon as the few interior pieces she worked on are installed in the car...
I know. It’s like yes we have a few more days
She's looking good 😊! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you too!
bout time there is some bones in that beast
Yeah and not mice bones
use a hot air gun to shrink the vinyl where it is baggy
That is a good idea. I’m ordering one now ~Laura~
He was fire and she was gasoline!
Truth.
Glass really good and no nagging.
Yeah it’s definitely turning into something
Flame throwers for reverse would be wicked!!! I'm.backing up here!!!!
Bro. I’m with you
Thank you guys for yet another great video ....superb progress with all you've done this time...excellent teamwork .
Our pleasure! Thank you
like 10 !
Thanks for the visit
Since the beginning I've been totally awestruck at your abilities and creative solutions to your obstacles.
IMPRESSIVE!!
My favourite vids by far!
Thank you very much. Much period
Fantastic, its really coming together nicely... wife did an outstanding job on the Interior... God bless 🙌
Thanks 👍
Thanks for cool vid man. And always good to see Lauren. Satisfying to see Mabel coming together! You editing is very very good.
Appreciate it!
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. The hard work is paying off guys. I love the colors on the interior, the 50’s were a colorful time you vehicle was not built to be in the day, I remember because as a kid I never gave these vehicles a 2nd look ! Get what you can get done . Great job guys ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍 🧛⚰️🪦
Thanks 👍
I love your colour choice it looks great, I think they all go together good. Fantastic job considering your work area outside. ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
It's amazing how far it's come
Paint the rusted blinker metal green?
No!
Huh
@@Theoldironworkshop Huh…
If I were him I’d be trying to get this thing finished so I could send myself to an everlasting place of peace and quiet sorry brother but I don’t know how you do it
Bahaha trust me it’s not easy.
Good morning, the small finishing details take a lot of time, wear a lot, but soon everything will be finished...go ahead Mr. Anderson, open a cold beer, get inspired and we are with you !! congrats from Brazil !
Thank you, I will
It's a car now not just a hooptie looking good! I don't envy you the wiring I hate electrical 😢 the wife did a great job on the upholstery thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Looks great..love the camaraderie between the both of you..thanks for yet anouther fantastic episode
Our pleasure!
The burnout is real. Especially when you look at the infinite list of little piddly shit that needs done. But overall it's getting pretty damn close to being functional, and that's exciting to see.
It’s all the little small stuff that just kills you. Chasing down specific nuts and bolts and little fittings, etc. is just a giant pain in the ass.
"OMG I almost died"...classic.
Is getting there..day by day
😂
You guys remind me of my wife and I except I’m yelling at her because she doesn’t listen 😂😂
Yes, but I’m the one that doesn’t listen correctly
I can’t tell if your microphone is going out or my ears are. You kept going to just one ear. Hard to hear. Probably my problem
The car is looking good and after a year I understand getting burned out. But no way is she going to let you stop. So pull up the big boy panties and power thru
No, that would be me. I push the wrong button on my microphone set up, so it actually split the microphones from one ear to another. I thought I could actually bind the two but not with the current software of which I use. We’re pretty low tech around here
I am looking forward to the first drive on the hearse, incredible amount of work you folks put it into it, she will live again!.
Us too!
The choice of color for the interior is awesome it's coming out really nice. Your saving so much money on y'all doing it yourselves. To have someone else do it would charge thousand's of dollars.
Yeah, 15 to 20 grand
Like a perfect remake of The Honeymooners TV series .. Well done !!
Yes, our mantra is the honeymooners meet the Addams family
Coming along nicely I think the Green Cornish moldings look great Good work
Thanks 👍
I don't know how many times a project just burnt me right out. The struggle is real.
Truth
Excellent video, thank you so much.
You are welcome!
Amazing teamwork !! You guys are great together. Car is fantastic !
Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing, always interesting!
My pleasure!
You guys are killing it. I’m looking forward to more fun videos. Thanks.😊
Thank you, we can’t wait to get this thing on the road we can start doing some travel adventures
@@Theoldironworkshop I hope to see it at the Round-Up next year.
Greetings from Germany!👍👍👍 It looks great
Hello there! Thank you
Soon ur 50 cady hearse will be on the road. looking good.
Not soon enough
I like the way "it is what it is" explains everything. 😂
Sometimes that’s all you got
Would have been cool to do a coffin outline made from the brake lines on the 2 from the master to proportioning valve!! And the car is turning out awsome!! Cheers
I actually do have some coughing, cut outs on the frame rails
Nice ! Car should be Rad!!
couldnt you guys just send the whole grll yo the chromer? ...You guys are the best 🕵🏽🕵🏽🕵🏽🔥
@@asiatic777 you gonna pay $$$$$$
Maybe after I pull a home loan
You guys are too much! Nicely done.
Thank you
I wish my better half was as interested in working on the cars as yours is. Lol.
Yeah, Laura, it’s not afraid of much. And always a team player.
Love how you two work so good together. Such a great team. 😂
Thank you. She’s definitely the brains
Grandpa Munster would be proud.

Lost & found classics just did a video of a scrapyard in Oaklahoma that has a hearse like this for parts.
Do you happen to know the name of the yard?
D&H classics.
It's great when you work together
We agree!
You guys make an awesome team, the hearse is looking sweet.
Thank you
Language issues for me
100%.
Looking really good now!
Getting there
ya have to be able to operate the divider window so ya can throw the empties in the back
That’s when you drill a hole on the floor so you can just drop them out
@@Theoldironworkshop thats funny,,,here in michigan the floor pans rust out, used to pull the floormat up and drop our longneck bottles out goin down the freeway,,,they disinigrated,,,and we would laugh and open another
I remember my father doing that as a kid in Flint
Thank you both
You’re welcome
Less 50 more 40
I 100% agree definitely waiting to get into the 40 but that won’t happen until 1 November and then she’s coming in the shop and getting a full makeover

Lee, here is a link from Iron Trap Garage when Matt (Iron Trap Garage owner) visited Dan after buying some of Dan's late fathers Ford parts. You can get an idea of what Dan has, and it's not just late '50's Caddy parts but tons of other Caddy parts...
