Another great video. I really enjoy watching your work. I told my wife that she could make the headliner for my 61 Caddy and she said she couldn't. Then i showed her the video of your wonderful wife and after watching it she has decided she would give it a try. Thank you for teaching some of us that are trying to redo an old car that with just a little knowledge and some guts ,that we can do it and if we fail just dusted our selfs up and try again. Because no body does perfect work .
Lara is such a hoot. You are a very manly man and yet is clear you have a great deal of respect for her. My wife is a handful too but life is never boring. 44 years this August. Wouldn’t change a thing
Очень качественная работа,как будто эти панели пола изготовил цех штамповки на заводе в Детройте! Ваша жена Лора уникальна и неподражаема,каждый раз улучшается настроение когда вижу её в ваших видео.
I'm kinda' of a bookend for this car body. Assuming that it is a Miller-Meteor built hearse, I was a 10-year-old living in Piqua, Ohio about a city block from where these things were built and finished. I clearly recall playing in the M-M rail yard among the box and flatbed cars, some of which carried engine-chassis from Cadillac Motor Car Division up in Detroit. In the mid-sixties I went to work for Cadillac in Detroit and had a great 35-year career with that great car company.
Never had a clue how that sort of metal work got done. Thanks now I do.On my camper I have curtains ,they are on plastic coated spring type material flexible rod .Small metal eyes are screwed into each end ,you make it a little shorter than needed and the stretch in the spring allows it to hook over the small hooks attached to the van walls .This makes a really good fairly rigid rod.Really common in campers here in Australia .
So after going down the rabbit hole on recreational vehicle curtains ect. I found some pretty good ideas like your talking about. The problem is the curtains are pretty heavy, so don’t think it would work. At the same time I don’t necessarily want a rod flying at me it we get into an accident
Lee, I always appreciate your honesty and willingness to admit when things don't go as you planned as we have experienced more than we want to admit. Lee, I saw that you were putting the back panel for the floor where the access panel is. If your wife decided she wanted the name on the ride some where the access panel would be the ticket. Buff the panel and airbrush the name she has come up with to her liking.
I was looking on Barn Finds the other day and saw a 1960 Cadillac hearse that was almost in immaculate condition... Thought of you guys..Glad to see you doing the floors and interior.. Well I'll see you next week.. Take care and stay warm...lol..
Its Cool to see your progress with your lawn sale tools, and incredible Skill, I left Texas in 1986 to return home to Maine , and I miss alot just not the heat, great job
I actually almost bought a 1936 hearse. But passed on it as the entire inner structure was wood. Unfortunately totally rotted out and needed replacing. I didn’t want such a “big project”. Also passed on a 1965 for rust. I don’t think this was any better of an idea. I’m about 15K into this one so far and just about a year of work. Not bad for a “quick and easy” project.
Camper vans use stretch materials for the curtains to allow for curved windows, I'm sure stretch velvet could be used for your curtains. Love the progress
@@Theoldironworkshop yes. Worth looking on you tube or e bay ( campervan curtain fitting ) but it is two tracks with small runners attached to stretch material. Lower the curtain rod. Add a ruffle at the top of the curtain. That also solves the curved window situation at the rear, you won't have to extend the rod as much.

Just like any station wagon // There is plenty of room for something , but the staining you have to do to get it out . Did you ever think to make a track & trolley floor that can pull out // like it had in the first place to place & remove cargo ? Just think on how great it could be at a push of a button everything could slide out at arms reach and even become an extended table or a make shift out door sleeping / fishing platform .
I’m a sucker for bead rolling, hope you don’t carpet it all. It blends well with the rear roller panel, really ties the room together. And- Samantha Fish 🤘

Yeah, they’re pretty good size. I actually have not seen bees like that around here for quite a long time.
On our hearses there’s a flat piece of aluminum about 3/4 inches that screws into a spacer that goes into the holes on each corner.

what if a guy used a fake-bottom coffin to cover the pumpkin and stuff ?
