Hi guys beautiful as always those volunteer lock attendants are nice chaps. I loved the boat when I'm 64 as after many years of playing music in bands, duos and three pieces and joking about it, it has finally happened to me on my last birthday. My lovely wife made me a when I'm 64 cake and all my cards for some reason had the song lyrics on them. It's funny when you are young you think 64 is the end but it's not really, for all of us who are 18 year olds trapped in older body's it's time to leave our working lives behind and go have some fun and try not to look in the mirror as you pass the bathroom.👴🏻😂😂 Stay safe guys.👍🏻👍🏻

The calm peaceful sunny times always makes me sleepy in the Arizona heat but this vlog with dramatic skies, wind, rain, problem lock gates and muddy tow paths, brought back real life on the canal. Hi guys what beautiful autumn leaves with the sun shining through. It must be wonderful pulling up at the end of the day tying off and your house is right there. Yes the use it or lose it mentality is a worry a bit like the old railway lines that people are running steam trains on. Lets hope people never get sick of boating on the canals. Hi guys Oh My Goodness I had visions of Martin up to his waist pulling the boat with a rope like Humphrey Bogart in the Africa queen. I hope those people who were leaving the locks open on the other end watch this video and get the message. If America had canals, life on a narrow boat would be a nightmare because of constant harassment by law enforcement. City, county, and state police as well as DNR and Coast Guard would stop and board your vessel looking for violations. This would repeat every time you passed from one jurisdiction to another. America is a fallen state and a police state.

Hi guys beautiful scenery as always even in the rain. I'm a new b so I have a lot of your vids to catch up on YAY.😆 When I was a kid and after we had been in Aus for several years we realised it actually gets rather cold and rainy here in the winter. I remember my dad saying, Come to sunny Australia they said it's always sunny. It can get very cold here in winter and very hot in summer mid to high 40s even on Christmas day. That's another thing I have always wanted to do come to England and have a white Christmas. My wife and I are also big fans of Doc Martin and we would love to visit Cornwall Port Isaac such a beautiful place. Oh well one day you never know. Loved the episode catch you on the next one stay safe and Julie no more attempted bungie jumps off the boat .😂😂🤣🤣

Nice video. Only been on Llangollen a couple of years ago. We will probably go with some friends this summer and they haven't been on a narrowboat holiday before, so I thought I should find a nice route. I was told that going from Gailey Wharf up to Market Drayton would be a beautiful one and not that many locks either. It will be for 7 days, so it's probably long enough I guess. Would you that sounds like a great route to show them how great it is to be on a narrowboat holiday?

Lovely cruise, Did catch that slip but chose to dismiss it because I know you have a leather harness for your lock paddle wrench(spanner?) btw is that one of those from cruising crafts? he make good gear. We all enjoy the way you an martin carry on. part of what makes you number one on the watch list!

I started watching at your 2024 videos so I went to the beginning. You both look happy and improved your health as you went along. Like you eat healthier or something. And de-stressed. Maybe its vitamin D from the sun. You look younger in 2024. I am glad its been good for you. 😊

I’m guessing that building on the wrong side was storage. So they could load and unload and not interfere with the horses or spook them.

The wind just has to be so miserable. Fighting to keep control is no doubt exhausting and this time of year the wind can be very cold. It should get better as you make your way to Crick though. I'm curious about that flag. Is it St. George? ❤

Wow what wonderful scenery along the canals. Very good handling of the boat to stay in the middle with the strong wind, very similar to how planes come in to land with a side wind side slipping to stay strait. At my age I might try and get a hold of one of those windless things as depending on what I eat it can get a bit windy some nights.🤣🤣 Lovely video guys stay safe catch you on the next one.👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Julie and Martin it can't be easy trying to cruise in the wind take it easy thanks for the Merlin bird app I will definitely install that one I also have an app called the flight trader 24 it tells you what planes are going over in the sky don't know if you'll be interested in that one or not love your vlogs as usual x😊

A wind in the willows on board Rhapsody. I had a nostalgic moment this morning remembering a time many years ago of a teacher reading Toad of toad Hall. When the wind blows over here we have hurricanes with dust storms, other states get tornadoes. My wife can steer the boat quite well problem is the dog gets so confused,stressed and screams when I do the locks she has given up driving though locks

The former hovercraft terminal at Pegwell Bay became a breaker’s yard after Hoverlloyd and Seaspeed merged to form Hoverspeed.
