Glad holly the cafe boat is still going strong ( they looked really busy), they havent posted in a while hopefully they will be back in spring

I was trying to find the video where Martin was puzzled by people thinking he was Australian. I having lived in the USA for 12 years often get accused (I mean asked) if I am Australian. For Martin I Understand it because a London accent to Americans is very similar. Historically most of the people who got deported there were from London. So there is reason why the accents sound similar to foreigners ❤️ but seriously I am from Yorkshire and I don’t sound Australian at all lol.

Wow the scenery is incredible and yes you have an amazing community where you are. I’m from down south but have relatives in Nottingham and find everyone up north very kind and friendly when we visit. Looking forward to watching more of your episodes as I’ve only just found your channel. I follow a few narrow boat channels including Holly the Cafe boat so it was lovely to see them safe and well as they haven’t posted for a while. Those cinnamon buns Jo makes always look incredible! It’s Saturday morning and I’m trying to watch the rest of this gorgeous video that I’ve not managed to enjoy yet. We like to watch it in bed on a night but with my new job Julie… I’m Mentally Shattered. when I lie in bed my eyes just refuse to stay open. Love seeing Jo and Vic. If I were in the area I would eat as many of Jo's confections as possible! Funny to see people sitting outside in the sun after there was just snow not long before. That was an interesting area where you walked and I loved the heron. Don't get to see them still or close up very often. The statue of the unknown lady was interesting and I love "before" photos and that carved doorway! ❤

Hi guys, beautiful. The snow covered landscape looked magical. It's crazy your there with snow and ice, and we are here in SA 39-40 degrees. I cracked an egg open and put it in a frying pan, put a glass lid on it and put it out in the sun. Half an hour latter the egg was cooked, that's how hot it is on a 40 degree day. 🥵 Thank goodness for air conditioning, the only problem is you just got to hope you don't have to go out for anything.😂😂How amazing seeing the water ice over, in that way I suppose your in the the same situation, hopping you won't have to go out for anything in the cold.🥶 But I know what weather I would rather be in, Give me the cold any day. Stay safe guys.👍🏻👍🏻❤❤

I used to get headaches with my migraine but just get the zigzags now and not feeling great for a. Couple of days.i just go to bed. And have water or tea. Plain biscuits or toast. And that usually works.take care.

The only reference I can find to wood carvings on Middlewood Way is this: Nelson Pit Ranger Ed Pilkington has carved seven animals that are placed at intervals along the Middlewood Way. Each carving has an association with a local junior school ... I can't find out if this lady is one of his carvings though. Barry

That was interesting. What a lovely group of friends you have to relax and have fun with. I am letting my imagination run away with me and think there could be some urban myth attached to the carved lady. Steady on Julie, you had a lye-in and the boat's steamed up, 🫢🙈🙈, it's a bit good up north innit 👍, this vlog seemed to encapsulate everything about wanting a boat, the freedom of travel, the community both on and off the canal, if you don't like it then you can move, and if you are organised then being frozen in is not a problem, I think you made this journey at a great time as I can see the macc getting busy this year with the closure of the Bridgwater canal, stay safe, Nige.

Love canal snow. We had it for the first time earlier this year and loved it.

The boaters aren't silly are they. Congregate on this beautiful canal with the wonderful scenery. I loved the filming in the snow especially when the sun came out, totally awe inspiring. It is incredible how the canal froze over and it was wide there. Grief that must have been cold. Filming as always has been super, catching all the nuances of the atmosphere and weather. The Fuel boat, hard work but lovely people earning a crust and not easy! That word you were looking for to describe the togetherness of winter boaters is, camaraderie, where these involved all pull together and in unity! BTW, Julie, your WOW is getting worse not better, just saying!

SNOW!! we have 35° plus here and no rain in S.A. whereas it's flooding in North Queenland!! Q - where did the Canadian Goose come from ( first 5 mins) migration maybe? And before I forget where does the water come from (water point) Julie never enough WOW😂😊 - the scenery is several WOW's - picture postcards.
