Best Telescopes For Viewing Planets in 2022 Part-2
Sounds like Kamala Harris
She says two lenses of similar focal length, not focal ratio, changing the aperture changes the focal ratio, telescopes are fixed Theres no speed of a telscope ie f4 is just a meaningless ratio without any other information. Aperture defines resolution, and light gathering focal length defines field of view. Changing the aperture on a camera dosent change the field of view just depth of field which telescopes don't have. You can only compare camera lenses to telescopes when wide open.
Grazie prendo Miroless
7/2024: Good Day from the Future: The problem with the LX200 and I assume all the LX series is that you still must manually/automatically in combination, align the telescope on 2 stars that the database will offer you. Where I live now, I don't have much "clear overhead view" of the sky. I did when I lived in Arizona though. So, I can't really get a precise Alignment. What do you do if you want to do Solar Observation? Daytime? How do you "align the telescope? I'm presently on my 2nd 10 inch Meade LX200. This one is a GPS with Enhanced Optical elements. I give up. Spell check won't change the mispells. So live with them. The LX Series of Telescopes, otherwise are superb in every way. My current one is 14 years old and works fine. The micro focus adjustment needed to be replaced. If you want a High End "reasonably-priced" telescope, these are an excellent choice IMO. Thanks & Best Regards
What’s cool about these SLT is that if you want to change it into a different type without changing or paying for another telescope, you can each of those types of telescope pieces either reflector or refractor or even Maksutav cassegrain typeshave a rail system both on the viewing piece of whatever type and on the computerized AZ mount, meaning that you can swap them we don’t need to pay for another SLT telescope at a very expensive price
Maks are sharper and have better contrast than SCT's due to their smaller central obstruction.
what about 150slt??
Nice and simple explanation, thanks. I have a NexStar 127SLT which is a MAK. I want to do astrophotography, but as I suspected, and you confirmed, this OTA is unsuitable. You can take shorter videos of planets and stack them but that is just as easily done using an SCT.
I'm glad you found this video helpful 🤗🤗
In the good old days, all Celestron SCT models used two fork tines-single tine models didn't exist. Having said that, the Evolution Edge HD looks like a brilliant compromise between stability and weight. The CPC Deluxe Edge HD series is also a beauty. Only wish it had an 8-hour inbuilt rechargeable power source similar to the Evolution Thank you for the presentation :-)
Ive had issues with the one star align, any advice?
What issue?
Hey bro i can see jupiter from telescope as secondary mirror if i focus it shows like dot is this was bec its not collimated I collimated it now i try agian
Fatal error starting from 3:37, which rotates around the DEC axis instead of RA. Otherwise, this is a very good explanatory animation
What telescope is thay, ive gotten pics like those too
Nope The -sun spots - are The constellation You can see though the light sun
When you look at the zenith is there a problem with the diagonal and the eyepiece blocking on the mount ? Thanks
Can I easily find a celestial object (that is not in the included database of 40,000 objects) by using the right ascension and declination coordinates?
Nit a real review
I thought it was the typically long focal ratio of the Mak that made it photographically ‘slow’’-not the fact that it has a thick meniscus type corrector. BTW, it’s pronounced Cass-eee-grain rather than Cass-AY-grain.
What len to use ??
As a complete newbie. Excellent video.

SkyView is a terrible app because you can’t even see Neptune or Uranus And can’t see many MANY MANY Things
recorded off your phone?
Hi Pls can someone tell me the difference between powerseeker as Astromaster Lt looking at getting a beginner reflector 76AZ Cheers in advance for any advice given
You can even see a few of Jupiter’s moons
That sure looks 93,000,000,000 miles away to me. Lol. 🤭
Do you not believe it's that far away???
No i dont believe that it is 8 minutes away at the speed of light.
@@jerrykinworthy9225 do you not know how fast light is?
@@jerrykinworthy9225also, do you have to concept of how big the sun is, or is ittge size of a lightbulb to you?
I know what the claim is. Its about 100 times the diameter of Earth and a million Earths could fit inside it, and its shooting through space at 500,000 miles per hour while we orbit it at 66,600 miles per hour while we are hurtling though the universe at 1,500,000 mph or 2,000,000 mph, depending on your source. All while we are spinning at 1,000 mph and yet every star in the sky has been in the exact same place every sonce recorded history. Every since people started drawing constellation on cave walls ten thousand years ago. Which part is supposed to be so complicated to grasp?
Cheap, Chinese spherical telescopes with plastic lenses are simply a waste of money.
Thank you for this informative video .This will help me to buy the best camera.
how did you get that final image?
With my phone
@@TheAlienTechs You don't use a program or so? it looks good
I Do, It was a normal single click with my phone n then I removed noise n improved sharpness in PS, that's it.
on 2 x borlow
whats the right on the left corner its bright
4:06 - "Because of the thick corrector plates on the Mak, its light gathering is very slow. This is not ideal for astrophotography." -- I'm sorry, what does it mean? The corrector plate is a lens, so are you saying its thickness is so great it significantly reduces light flux? That I would find hard to believe. Also, not mentioned is that the secondary mirror, which obstructs part of the light is normally smaller in Maks than in SCT's. See 2:22 - compare Mirror 2 on the left and on the right.
127 is the most useless scope 130 is awesome but would be better with a Barlow lens
Good 👍🏿 👍🏿
Noice
What is the name of your telescope?
StarSense 114LT
The exact result can be achieved through samsung
not at all true
I have the same tellescope
Wooh
all i have is a celestron 8se. also nice !!
Thank you.
Neat!
Thank you
I have a nexstar 8 and 5. The best you can find at a reasonable price. I am happy with mine. Not looking for one better. The 6SE should be a very good telescope.
Yes, it is a good telescope. 🤗🤗
I found someone selling a 6se with a bunch of extra attachments etc. for only 1000€ instead of 2000€+ But unsure if it’s worth it vs an 8se I’m just a beginner but I once learned it’s better to buy something more pricey if the quality is much better, because even if you stop pursuing that hobby, if you decide to go back to it, you immediately have something of good quality which makes it much more enjoyable
What attachments?
@@TheAlienTechs 6 different eye pieces, 6 light filters and a planetary camera which costs 630€ new
If u r on a tight budget then it sounds like a deal...6SE is also a good telescope...U can sell 6SE in future to get a bigger one like 8SE or better. Check if everything is working, before u make a purchase.
@@TheAlienTechs I’ll take my time before i do a too hasty decision :D thank you for the advice! Do you happen to know tho, if telescopes get cheaper over time? Similar to computer parts? Because I wouldn’t mind waiting 1-2 years if that means that the 8se for example becomes 500€ cheaper in the meantime
No, usually good telescopes like 6SE or 8SE or better won't get cheaper just over few years. These telescopes do not need much upgrades and will last u for 8-10+ years with proper use. You might get them cheaper during some festival sales online. But don't expect too much of a price drop. 🤗🤗
Is there a big difference between the 6se and 8se? I have found someone who sells the 6se with a ton of equipment for only 1000€! and im unsure what to buy and how much to invest ^^
from what I understand, just the size - at 78% more aperture (ignoring the center piece that blocks light), it's a huge difference. If it's worth the extra $ is another story. I'll let others more experienced chime in for that. FWIW, I plan on getting the 6" since I'm very price-sensitive. YMMV.
@@AP-eq6fv ye figured =/ thank you, i ll consider it. Do you happen to know if Telescopes get cheaper over time? As in if its worth it waiting maybe 1-2 years and the ones we are looking at now might drop significantly in price?
"Cass Saay Grain" Look how they massacred my boy...
hahahaha, btw its difficult to pronounce for most not-tech people. 😅😅🤗
I have the 5SE and I wish I had bought the Evolution. The mount is great. U can set it up and start viewing without setting up the go to. Great Mount. I may save up and buy one.
this is great, thanks. Also, what's the music playing in the background? I've heard it before and love it. wish i could find it so i can listen to it on the background :)
"Eternal Garden" by Dan Henig in youtube library
Thank you for explaining everything to the detail. I just received my telescope and i can't wait to explore the planets and the moon.
Wonderful!
