Work is being done in order to get her back in action by the beginning of July. Plus Steve Turner's Austerity 'Whiston' is coming from the foxfield for at least a short visit, so at one stage we will have 3 or possibly 4 steamable locos at ruddington for the first time in a while

Nice vid mate, i'm not normaly one to speak up, but 2 corrections to your text.. 1: 828 is a mixed traffic loco (hence the livery) not a goods engine, to be fair a common mistake. 2: The Herculean effort was thanks almost entirely to Strathspey Railway staff with some assistance from SVR staff. Cheers

@granskare No, she probably would have been on the North Eastern and Great Central or Midland, the GWR only went as far north as Chester in the West, and didn't go further east than London

@Rainhill1829 Every railway which operates during winter months has steam heated carriages. We're not cruel to our passengers!

@xboxboy8466 That's not a Black 5, it's a Riddles 5. Difference is larger driving wheels and cylinders, different regulator and cab layout, and different valve gear on this one

I live 2 mins from there and went on the footplate of that train. Black 5 I think
