Cammy your-hardworking..you’ll be fine.
Love your coverage. I understand most of what you are talking about and find it very interesting and entertaining/funny. Thank you. Happy New Year to both of you. You are both young, enjoy every minute of everyday and see and do what ever you are interested in and can do. Do it while you are young. From a young 83 year old widowed Grandma that is so glad I have done everything I did in life.
I found all the detail about buying the farm and the ensuring costs of running absolutely fascinating and mind blowing. I wish you and Lizzie all the best in this venture. Have you considered the possibility of using a small area for caravans? This is refered to as a Certified Site via "Camping and Caravan Club". Just 5 pitches, nicely spaced apart and all you need to provide is a water source, ie, one tap and a toilet waste point. An electrical pick up point would be also greatly beneficial. .......Just a thought.
Absolutely LOVE the Friday chats!! Not lying!! Love all the farming podcasts, but listening to you and Iona share yourselves and life!! And, you work SO hard and Lizzie... You absolutely have WORKED for everything. UA-cam, Sheep Game.. these ARE working, filming, posting.... Cut yourself some slack. We are ALL so happy to watch you succeed and grow! I wish you ALL the happiness, blessings, and prosperity. One day we'll be watching and Jock will be a teenager and we'll all have watched the kids grow!! Ps,.. please don't shoot a dog!!!
Did he say 65 pounds an acre for the beet lads and 57.50 for the dairy lads,,and it’s like 130 to 150 here in Ireland am i right,,?that’s a huge difference or wat am I missing??
On the wedding, you could do a 'surprise the bride', my son did all the graft with a group of family and did a re-proposal 6 weeks before, all at a family venue - it took 7 months to organise and spend was split along the way
Fill out the darn forms! Also if air BnB is slow on in the off season depending on the area you might be able provide longer term accommodation for insurance claims. I connected my god parents and it keeps the accommodation full in the office season.
Excellent podcast.
Try to discourage young boys from jumping off things, they could be damaging their hip joints, going forward to a life of arthritis.
I love friday chats ❤
Sounds like another agricultural bestseller from Scotland! When are you going to write your book and experiences. You are a phenomenal personality. Thank you for sharing you life! Take care👍🏻
Have a really good chat to your accountant, I reckon you’ll be able to smooth that tax out or wipe a chunk of it. Good luck,
Great podcast as always good luck to you and Lizzy with the new farm you both so deserve it iona your brilliant xxxxx
Cammy and Iona, I love listening and watching (lol) you both. Your honesty is very rare these days. 😊
Get what you mean about thinking that the socials are not graft but.... you've put so much effort into it to make it where it is today with the huge following you have. You have surrounded yourself with engaging people - Lizzie, Iona & all your guests - that makes this amazing. Not to mention the merch side. You're so driven Cammy it's great to see your efforts come to good. Some buzz! & that smile when you walkabout the farm....love it. Just dinae be daft & burn yersel oot & not enjoy it
Having even more apartments you can rent out on the farm - AND you promoting that on your sheep game channel will pay your mortgage every month - people would LOVE to come stay there and follow you for a day or two at all times of the year…👍🏻 You will have a steady income and maybe even help during lambing time - do NOT underestimate that part - you would probably be able to make more cash that way than “milking” 🤪
Sooooo when you get married - invite 200 people for a barn wedding - and tell them - ONLY gift wanted - BRING US A SHEEP in lamb….🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Lizzy gets a grand wedding and you guys get 200 sheep for the farm…👍🏻
Incredible episode guys! Absolutely love the chemistry and working relationship between you both it’s great, just works so well ❤ congrats on the farm and engagement again Cammy, you have hit the jackpot with lizzie , don’t fuck it up 💪😂😂 lots of love!
Cammy, Every time you think of a cost think of the triplets you will save in the massive shed and silage pit. Best of luck
Oh Cammy, just an amazing podcast. I've only been watching you for about a year and I'm so proud of how far you, Lizzie and your family have come in that time. It may be years in the making, but it just shows how hard work pays off. Dreams do come true. Wishing you all the very best of luck for the future in your new home/farm ❤
For American viewers that may recoil at all the talk of taxes in the UK or Canada, you may be missing what building a country with strong social programs cost. Just Universal Healthcare alone has its shared cost. But unlike you, Cammy and Lizzie don't have to buy private health insurance or just do without visits to a doctor, because they couldn't budget for emergencies. Living in a country where you have to pay directly out of pocket for doctors, treatments and medicine is a huge problem in a crisis. Accidents and disease are nearly impossible to predict. So without the support of insurance or great wealth, how can you ready yourself before they happen? The best way to understand Universal Healthcare in most countries that use it, is that it is a "mandatory" insurance policy, shared by everyone. Cost is "do-able" because the burden is shared by everyone through taxation. You can't be turned away due to pre-existing conditions, because it's viewed as a right of citizenship. I was stricken with kidney stones and gallstones that required a trip to an ER in December. Not once did I have to worry about what it would cost me for doctors, scans, surgery or prescriptions. The decision to choose the care needed or just live with it, wasn't required. There isn't any burden of medical debt haunting my future prospects.
Question. Here in the US spreading human waste has been found to contain PFAS or forever chemicals. A lot of land here in Maine USA has been banned for agriculture due to past spreading of same sludge.
Spend £20k on a wedding and invite people that will give £200 as presents should cover the wedding cost ❤❤❤
You should be proud as it’s hard graft that’s for you in the position to buy a farm You are a super family

£150 a night is cheap for holiday accommodation Nearly charge that for a B&B for a couple

You will have paid back in 25 years £1.5m for the farm,, hope sheep prices keep up and you are lucky especially as you all work so hard I’ll be watching for the next 25 years if I am still alive getting impressed with you work and life God bless you all ❤❤❤
I enjoy the catchups, you two have great rapport, and I enjoy hearing the 'behind the scenes' stuff, like the UK taxes and regulations, etc. And a bonus, I got a good part of my desk sorted and cleaned off while listening to you. Thanks for keeping me company, and I wish you all the best in 2025.
Wow that’s some mortgage £60k a year
I love a friday podcast . Its always so light hearted even when your talking the tough stuff. Iona is always smiling and when you watch someone smile you naturally smile too😊 xxx
I thought i had seen mark before. I raced with him at knockhill in the pre injection 600 class.. cracking racing.
Cammy, not nice to say about Iona, she's waiting for the right man🥰
Cammy, another selling point for your rental is that it is on a working farm. I have holidayed in the UK for years and always look for a working farm to stay on. One of the farmers used to take the kids out in the buggy when he was doing the rounds, they loved it.
For the water cammy, it might be worth getting rain capture for the farm. In Texas we pay for water for everything and a rain barrel can make a big difference, and yall have much more rain to capture.
In ireland I have an underground concrete tank built to collect the rain water ,, 1st time it got close to been empty was last year in over 32 years It used for washing , toilets, water for sheep ,, washing clothes etc so it cost nothing
Oh dear. Your jingle sounds like Pete's 6.36 jingle. 😂
Cammy get a bore hole well to feed the sheds with water it will save you money in the long run
Congratulations Cammy & Lizzie, what an achievement! You should be so proud, what an amazing community to have built. Another great episode from Cammy & Iona, so glad to see the jingle is back at the end of the podcast too! 😂
happy new year to you all.......great podcast....as always and special congrats to cammy and lizzie on the acquisition of your first farm!!!!!!!!!
I love these chats so interesting
Cammy just remember as you say Lizzie is amazing and you couldn't do it all without her, so DON'T work yourself into the ground and miss out on making memories with your family. Those kids want to be bringing their kids to Gran and Grandpa's farm and make memories with them. So you need to be around for them for many many years ❤
Absolutely love your Friday chats as you and Iona are a great team. You and Lizzie are also an amazing team who have worked so hard to finally achieve your goal and get your farm. I have absolutely no doubt that all that hard work will continue to make your farm work and all your dreams come true.
Congratulations on the farm Cammy and Lizzy. Such a big accomplishment. Congratulations as well on your engagement. A big round of applause for Iona for all the work she has done as well. This was another fun and informative podcast. 😊 Happy New Year!
This is mad as I was actually going to ask what had happened to the podcast intro jingle and there it was right at the end of this episode! Mind readers I tell ye 🙂
Brilliant Cammy great podcast thank you. All the best to you and Lizzy for your future. Iona you did great asking all the right questions, when you could get a word in 😂😂🥰🏴
Cammy, I'm a big fan of the channel and what you do. I do disagree with the statement that getting married changes nothing and might be a clue as to why it didn't work out first time. Marriage does and should change everything. Good luck with everything, I'll continue to follow with interest.
Good insight into the mind of a man with purpose. 💪🏽 Good luck Cammy!
Delscone said the same thing. Flu has been really bad. Pete's lost his voice currently.
You built the social media following…it’s hard work of a different nature than farming perhaps but work just the same. I understand your feelings about sweat equity but you definitely have put 💯 percent into your successes. Being humble is a good personality trait but we are all proud for you.
Cammy please don’t keep your gun in your car with your little children. They are so precious and accidents happen so quickly.
He's a cop. He'll know the system
