Good for you Cammie!! Way to keep on her and keeping the authorities updated. A real life angel, watching out for all! You are an amazing person, thank you for all you do!!
Another great podcast. Regarding literary analysis, I felt as you did until I had to do a critical review essay. While doing research I came across an interview where the author I was assigned noted that it was through critical reviews that he gained insight on his character development in some of his stories. He had negative feelings about reviews generally, but in the end, he felt that some reviewers present a perspective that he's not privy to...sort of like the lady that hasn't a clue about the louse on her bonnet. I noticed down south some folks 'cut the lights on' and 'cut the lights off' and they 'make' groceries. Where I'm from we turn the lights on and off and shop for groceries...lol. Gotta love it! My nephew was killed by an impaired driver. My brother and his family did not survive the emotional fallout of that tragedy. If only someone had had the courage you displayed. Glad you made the call. Good for you, and of course good for your neighbors & the community. Thank you, Iona and Cammy, for these Friday Catchups!
Thanks! MERRY CHRISTMAS CAMMY & IONA & TEAM FED BY FARMERS, FROM SIDNEY, BC🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦, Dorothy Leslie, Hugs to Lizzy, Jock, Angus & wee Bonnie, Happy New Year, too
Thanks Cammy and Iona for all your hard work throughout the year bringing us fantastic podcasts. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. RIP Heather and condolences to her family and friends.
French martini is: 3 parts pineapple juice, 2 parts vodka, 1 part Chambord. What makes this martini ``French'' is the use of Chambord, a French raspberry liqueur produced in the Loire Valley in central France. Sounds lovely! Cheers!
Still game quotes are my daily life 😂😂 I drive everyone mad, every time someone says they did something I instantly HAVE to say in fergies voice “naw ye didnae” 😂😂😂
Brilliant, what a catch great catch up. We Irish would 'Draw a bath ' with draw meaning ' carry ' water to the bath . Or we would ' draw' lambs to the market, as in take them on the trailer and then ' draw' them ,meaning pick them out into ' their ' lots .So to carry and travel. Merry Christmas team.
I really enjoy watching and listening to you both on these Friday sessions as well as all the podcasts with your guests, so, many grateful thanks to you, Iona and the lady we never see but occasionally hear - Ashley. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. Dan
I just got my sheep crystalyx extra high energy. They have been hoeing into it. It's warm here in NZ now. 25 degrees. So it's a bit melty. Sheep love it because they can bite into it. 😂
My husband always says he'll draw me a bath, and I use the phrase outwith. The funny thing is we're from a small farming community in the middle of the prairies, Saskatchewan lol
I totally agree Xmas is more a harder time of year than happy , lost both Mum and Dad now, virtually saw them every day of my life on family farm never be the same again 😢
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Cammy, I am glad you made that call on that person. We also choose beef at Christmas and New Years. Turkey at Easter and Canadian Thanksgiving. I am sorry for your loss of a dear friend. You all are so amazing. Stay well, stay safe, and most importantly, thanks for sharing.
Cammy & Iona, if you like listening to Scots, listen to Len Pennie, (I think that's how you spell it), reciting one of her poems "I'm not having children" it's fantastic.
I agree about Moana. The first was better. More comedy. This one is more serious. And concepts most kids wouldn't get. My daughter was so excited for it. She was crossing off the days on her calendar until the release date. But I think she enjoyed it.
Christmas greetings Iona and Cammie from Nova Scotia. I hope you enjoy your holiday season with family and friends and have a healthy, happy and prosperous 2025!!🎉🎉🎉
My grandma would either dislike or like this episode regarding spelling and grammar. You would have to no my grandmother to understand. Merry Christmas and thank you for a grate yeer.
Cammy thank you for putting me on Still Game. Found the complete series on UA-cam. Never heard of it here in Australia. It is funny, but the occasional bit is a bit cringe.
Similarities we share Cammy sometimes freaks me out in terms of what floats our boat but let me let you into a well kept secret. When a female tells you there not interested in getting an over priced meal served to them in the month with some decent clobber on, guess what, there telling lies. Had a near miss myself and realised what an absolute fool I was and moved straight in for the ring without a second thought and will propose at Christmas. See the bit where they say they’d rather spend it on a piece of ground instead of a wedding, yip you guessed it, lies. All I’m saying is keep an eye on the ( boring) your only in your thirties! P.s Turkey for old times sake if nothing else. Personally I love it.
I called the cops on a car driving badly once, in the states that doesn't do any good really. Turned out it was an old lady who was just too old to drive safely, bad eyes or something. But he followed her home so maybe it helped keep her from killing someone. Hard to say.
I'm like you Csmmy don't like Xmas since my parents passed, miss them so much its not the same and I don't overspend on gifts. Buy what I think is necessary and more to.the point what I can afford. Hope the boys have a lovely day with their toys and books etc . My grandson is 14.now son the fun element isn't the same but we still.have a nice dinner and bits and bobs. Merry Xmas Cammy and Iona Hope you're not eating Daddy's wee bullocks dear Iona?????
I don't trust autocorrect on my phone!! Those paragraphs first and last letter you can read it,, those are easy! Draw a bath, I believe in Irish, means to carry water. It would have been beneficial if, while updating police, you would have videoed the actually driving. Then, you give a statement and email the video, you aren't needed in court! I have a suggestion for a podcast; The Hoof GP, again but, with the other Graeme, too! Then, play your game "Is It Scots or Slang?" Ask HGP, he should understand, it's from one of his clips!! Iona will have fun with him!😅 Also, I'm in the USA, because of one of my brothers not liking ham or roast beef, we have turkey Easter, brothers birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas!! My daughter's the same! Well, time to extend my wishes...MERRY CHRISTMAS CAMMY AND IONA 🎅🎄 and HAPPY NEW YEAR, TOO 🎉🎊🍾
I got asked for a giggot chop i had no idea what it was I had to google it Winston and Peggy in the butchers came up i now know what a giggot chop is and have seen every episode of Still Game. hard to pick the best for me. Winson and Stevie springs to mind
Blame Charles Dickens for turkeys at christmas, up until then goose was the bird of choice. Scrooge bought the big prize turkey. Then the people started buying them and became popular.
Yes time changes and what was once sometimes viewed as humour becomes viewed as cruel or intolerant. And there were many racial and cultural stereotypes, made with malicious intent. What has changed so much, is now we live in a time where far to much cruelty and intolerance has seen a resurgence as some folk claim "free speech" has room for "hate speech". I don't know a single person of colour today, who won't laugh out loud while watching Blazing Saddles. Because they know it was made in a time where great strides were being made in social justice and tolerance. Plus equal fun is poked at every group by Mel Brooks. No one is spared. But Blazing Saddles and TV shows like it could never be made today. We've become too polarized.
Totally agree. I guess my line of thinking was that there is no way for police to respond to every instance of someone being on a phone and also no way to prove it. However when you report a drink driver police can breathalyse and easily deal with it. The phone thing is a difficult one.

I eat turkey year round. Full size for Thanksgiving and Christmas and baked breast with stuffing the rest of the year. I must say, the year I had prime rib for Christmas Eve stands out. My daughter is having Chinese food for our Christmas dinner this year while Christmas Eve at my house is turkey.
Why is the grammar so terrible on another certain farm? Me and I, and helping verbs? As an American, I expect people in the United Kingdom to speak the Queen’s English. 🤷🏼♀️
People using phones while driving cause fatalities too - interested to know why doesn't Cammy think this is as serious and would view someone reporting this as a snitch?
Absolutely they do. And I did say it was wrong, my main line of thought with that is that if everyone phoned the police when they saw someone on their phone then there would be no police to respond to the very immediate threat to life that I was phoning them about. 👍
@@FedByFarmersPodcast Having done a lot of miles on the motorway this week amd witnessed lots of really dangerous situations where people were on phones (and laptops 😮) while driving erratically at speed I did call the police on one and they were great followed and stopped. Merry Christmas and a happy new year, Cammy and lona. I love watching your podcasts. l laugh so much, and keep up the great work! 🇦🇺❤️
I've missed the Friday chats. Your other podcasts are so enlightening and I've learned a lot, but I love listening to the two of you catching up.
You guys have a peaceful holiday and enjoy those close to you! thanks for the Friday chat :)
Same for new year. No point in staying up til midnight.
I am dyslexic and it’s very stressful sometimes.
You could still do tinsel and baubles Cammy. Next year you should get the boys in on decorating a tree. That's half the fun.
Merry Christmas 🎄 Blessings of Christmas be with everyone the whole year
I totally agree Xmas is more a harder time of year than happy , lost both Mum and Dad now, virtually saw them every day of my life on family farm never be the same again 😢
Draw a bath isn't Scottish. The draw in this case is drawing water as in 'draw water from the well'.
Have a wonderful time at Christmas and the New Year.
Hi Tammy I sit up till maybe 1:00 listening to your podcast and I love every minute of it but I also watch a lot of other things 21:33

We are having turkey beef and gammon wishing U & family and Iona & family the best Xmas ever and all the best for the new year
luv the chat podcast, enjoy your staff day/night out .
Have to agree with David Jackson. Listening to you two is a joy Merry Christmas to you both and your families and best wishes for 2025 ♥️
Comparing beef and turkey is comparing apples and oranges.
Turkey dinner for Xmas is mandatory!!😂 The best part is the 4 days of leftovers! 😊

Still game is brilliant love the pod casts 😂
What is weird is that here in the USA ... at least Missouri... we too DRAW a bath.
Best comedy program is Friday catch up with Iona and Cammy and their SFB
Our family has Prime Rib and Yorkshire Pudding and other dishes for Christmas dinner and Trifle for dessert, we love it! Muncy Pennsylvania USA
I use draw a bath, herewith, in the US.
My great grandmother sometimes cooked Goose, but had to keep skimming off the fat during cooking, very good but very rich

Oh, I've recently watch black doves. I will say though, every time I hear Keira speak, I think of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Still laughting about the christmas tree
My mum always said draw a bath. Her mum was Welsh.

Rab C Nisbet will run it a close first Cammy😂😂😂
Out with it. Parents wanted. You to tell the truth. But,we have Scottish lineage
For info, I’ve been getting adverts for Zolvics before/during your videos.
Clever advertising from Elanco 😁
You can draw a pen of lambs (is that 5?)
Of course!!! Draw lambs! 😁👏🏻
When are you having FARMER PETE on your show
Water and water
Phone corrector sucks cause sometimes it is SO wrong Hate it
Best scots comedy was Scotch & Wry.
A classic!
It’s just fine to get out

The version I know, Scrooge shouts to a boy on the street, tosses him a silver coin and tells him to buy the biggest goose in all of of England!
