Cammy, don't forget I spotted you on the plane on the way back and had a wee fan girl moment as I was waiting to get to my seat. You were a sweetheart ❤️
Cammy, love your hat! Glad you are doing well after your surgery…the soreness will ease, but still do not overdo things or you will be reminded you had surgery very quickly. Iona sounds like your poor dad has had a terrible week. Prayers for him and Cammy to heal quickly and fully.
I just Love you both! No matter what the subject, you make it interesting to listen to. I'm gladyou had fun in America, I bet the people in the bar enjoyed all of you guys and your accents!🥰
Cammy glad you made it to the Great Lakes. Lake Superior is the deepest of the Great Lakes. I live in southern Ontario and three of the Great Lakes are close by for fun beach days: Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and Lake Huron. We prefer to swim Lake Erie because it is the shallowest and the water is warmest. Lake Huron has beautiful scenery and long sandy beaches. Corn hole is popular here too.
glad your surgey, Cammy, is done and you’ve got good meds in your recovery. Luv the banter with you, Iona! Nice hat, Cammy, Next some cowboy boots!🦌💌❤️🐑👍
It was so kind how you described the family you stayed with. A lot of that is what my childhood/family is like. Dad has 16 siblings, I was home schooled, lots of big trucks everywhere (Dad & brother are truck drivers) we pray like that before every meal, we play corn hole (and lawn darts...which now can't be sold because it was crazy dangerous 😂) and lots of home grown food. Oh yeah...and six feet of snow. I am Canadian after all. Just above the North Dakota & Minnesota border. 🇨🇦
NFL games are slow because of commercial breaks. All about the $$$ You have to watch a high-school game. That's real football! Great show, guys. Loved listening to your take on my America. It was a blast!
Cammy, I’m glad the Chicago Bears beat the Rams! It was so great meeting you in person. Such a fun, kind person! Hope to see you again. My daughter said she’d go with me to Scotland. 😊
Sounds like it was a great trip to Michigan. Well except for the lost luggage. Fingers crossed it is found soon. Totally agree about American (and Canadian) football. You want exciting sports, then you should go to a Hockey game. Fast pace. Lots of hits. I love hockey.
Cammy, I'm with you. I love the feeling when they knock you out, just feeling it coming and surrounding you. I used to like football until I went to England and discovered rugby!! Wow!!! Love it!
I'm loving listening to you talk about the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I live there just next to the Keweenaw Bay. Which is part of Lake Superior. Professional Hockey was born in the UP ❤
Glad you enjoyed your trip to the US. It is fun to hear your take on things. I'm american and I completely agree with you about football, so boring. If I ever go to a game I don't watch much, but get caught up in everything else going on. And that's college and HS, never been to an NFL game. No interest.
🇨🇦 the best thing for a hernia patient is to get moving . My husband had a hernia surgery at the Shouldice hospital and they have treadmills there to encourage the patients to walk as much as possible. Of course strenuous exercise is frowned on. We took a few days off of dairy farming and went hiking. Be careful you don’t overdo on those heavy meds .
Glad you had a great experience in America. Great news your op went well. Do take it as easy as possible Cammy... I know you won't 😅 another good podcast/catch-up. 👏🤠😊
Entertaining as usual you both, Cammy hope your on the mend, would be great to see the ram / tup sale at Lanark, it sounds like we switched countries last week, no wonder the roads were quiet...lol
I live in Ohio very close to the Michigan border. Very excited to hear that you visited the Great Lakes area! It was interesting to hear your impression of the area!
Cammy, glad you are not rushing your recovery. Heal well. Agree American Football, not fun unless you have a team to back or are really into it. Baseball is fun if you're at the field. Glad you had a great time here in the US. Love the hat and the stories of your trip. Hope your cases show up soon, that's horrible. Iona! Yikes that's a crazy long time to wait. Did NHS forget you were waiting? Thanks for the fun catch up.
Great show! Funny listening to you about the differences....here in Innisfail,Alberta Canada prices of fuel(gas) go between $139.4 and $149.4 per litre..usually before a long weekend (thursday night) the prices will go up. That Dodge was probably a Dually...but I drive an 8 cylinder Toyota 4Runner 2007...maybe the newer vehicles are lower of cylinder? Dodge's are always noisy...
Even in the US it can take 4-6 months to get a specialist appointment and we have high deductible insurance plans that have high premiums and then you pay the full cost until you reach the deductible. Deductibles are often 3,000-6,000 a year. And any testing requires approval.
Hi Cammy. Enjoyed your comments on your USA visit. Glad you had great hospitality. I grew up in Chicago but not a sports person. But I agree basketball is a much faster game. Too bad you didn’t have the opportunity to see a game. The Bulls being one of the best clubs. I am such an urban person. If I was younger (I am 84!!) I would find a farm or ranch to live and work on. Reason I enjoy your FBF and your sheep 🐑 videos 😂. I live vicariously 😁. Take care of your health😢. Harriet from Eugene, Oregan 👳🏻♀️🇺🇸
Neurology appt very important! Also it's important to have the care team connection. Drug matching and less side effects. Good luck with your diagnosis and progress of procedures.
I love watching you two. It was great fun to hear about your trip to Michigan and the NFL game. I completely agree with you about football games being s l o w. Baseball too!
Cammy! You look like my neighbor here in Texas now. In church on Sunday mornings, you can look under the pews and see all the men's hats parked down there 'til the end of the service. Hey, I have a Scots question: "Coo" is "cow", but is there a Scots word for "bull" or are they just all "coos"?
First trip over to US had the same football experience - used to UK fast-paced sport and was ssoooo disappointed with their game! You were right - cricket is more exciting. 🤣

I'm originally from the Netherlands and there private healthcare is not a thing since 20 something years. Every adult pays the same and you can take out extra insurance. But you always have 'own risk' of €375 or something minimum.
Cammie, to sort you out on the beers 🍺 in the United States, lite, means the number of calories. Like the Coors, Miller, Budweiser etc the big name beer brands have the regular and the lite. Their beer does go down real easy because there isn’t the same amount of alcohol in it that the beer brands in Canada have. The big Canadian beer brands, similar to the USA brands, have the “lite” meaning fewer calories. There is zero alcohol beer in Canada, probably in the States too.
I heard about someone who had an AirTag in their luggage, they found the bag in a storage unit and told the airline where it was…the airline made no effort even then to retrieve their bag. They can’t be bothered it seems.

American here regarding our football. With 4 quarters and a 15 minute halftime the game should be just over an hour and as you have seen its not lol. I don't watch alot of professional footbal but i do love college football. To me, the college games are more exciting.
YES thank you for hitting the point about genetics. There’s so many breeds we just don’t have here. Or they’re so spread out it’s nearly impossible to get any of the genetics that ARE available. It’s opening up now thank goodness. Lot of talk and action about bringing over embryos

Know what you mean about being knocked out . Last time I said hurry up and give me the injection I need some decent sleep. Perhaps I should say I'd had an open wound compound fracture of my leg for 4 days waiting for them to decide what to do with it.
Lite beer is less filling, less carbs, American beer is like water, cider is not my thing at all. Canadian beer is great! Yes gas is cheap in the states, Canada went to the metric system in the late 60s early 70s, just to rip the people off is all. No good reason to switch
you won't hear back about Angus nose anytime soon without pushing for an answer as it is "non urgent" -I have not heard you or Lizzie talk about the nose effecting his breathing - my son got his front teeth smashed out playing hockey inside at intermediate school (no mouth guard, this Momma was not happy). He has had the teeth cemented back on by the dentist but has to wait till he is 21yrs to get the teeth caped - it is all about his jaw finishing growing so the capped teeth look right in his mouth - I believe if the Dr's fix Angus's nose he will be in his late teens before they do that for the same reason
I agree with you about NFL…much better to watch college sports. Pro players in America are way over paid too. Not my thing at all! Now college basketball is great! Fast moving lots of action. More fun all around.
£85/mo for insurance? FMTT Cammy… one person, me, $640 per month. I have not been to a doctor in years and I think my last physical was probably a day after never. Medical care in the US is freaking stupid.
Hey From the US, did you have a hard time understanding those U-pers????? They can have an accent for sure. A long time ago there was a movie “Escanaba in da moonlight” it is truly terrible but very funny.
Cammy, I’m suprised you didn’t copy that Kiwi sheep scanner guy and put an Apple tag in your case! Hope you get your equipment back soon. Del - your Royal Welsh golf buggy driver!! 😂
Here's the trouble with having the "pay for play" option in social healthcare systems. The wealthy can always jump the line. We have the same problem in Canada. By "wealthy" I include those who can afford to buy insurance too, not just the Lamborghini set. Just because you earn more money than someone else, doesn't make you a more deserving human being. How many people are forced to wait for treatment, because someone with more cash at hand uses the resources ahead of them?
Your private Healthcare looks like its very inexpensive. I have my insurance in the US and it is costing over $600 a month and that is only for medical. I also have to pay for my medications which is about another $300 a month. It's absolutely crazy here unless you want to gamble that your health will be great and nothing will happen to to you. Haha!!

You must must not rush it, if you rip your hernia they won't be able to keep doing a repair
£85/mo for insurance? FMTT Cammy… one person, me, $640 per month. I have not been to a doctor in years and I think my last physical was probably a day after never. Medical care in the US is freaking stupid.
Oh no Iona, Cammy's done it now! You'll have every Tom, Dick and Harry after you😱
Hey From the US, did you have a hard time understanding those U-pers????? They can have an accent for sure. A long time ago there was a movie “Escanaba in da moonlight” it is truly terrible but very funny.
It was no problem! I suppose we are used to accents in Scotland =D
Cammy, I’m suprised you didn’t copy that Kiwi sheep scanner guy and put an Apple tag in your case! Hope you get your equipment back soon.
Del - your Royal Welsh golf buggy driver!! 😂
I absolutely will now!
Here Cole and Abbie might get your case cammy they buy lost luggage and donate it to charity unless they can find the person it belongs to 😂
Your private Healthcare looks like its very inexpensive. I have my insurance in the US and it is costing over $600 a month and that is only for medical. I also have to pay for my medications which is about another $300 a month. It's absolutely crazy here unless you want to gamble that your health will be great and nothing will happen to to you. Haha!!
You were playing bean bags
The bean bags were playing us!
Ye should have taken hetty and beachy with ye.
NFL is boring to me too... And I live near Kansas City!
